  1. Google Translate states "You can't see LEGO DC, LEGO Marvel. Finally a tower built over four floors! It was about time!" In essence he is saying that the Lego DC and Lego Marvel sets were not on display/shown. His remark about a tower is referring to a video displaying a 4 floor MOC: "LEGO Store model on Fifth Avenue in New Ukonio City" He responds to this remark in the comments claiming that the article is a joke, likely a method of playing around. So yes, none of this information should be taken seriously.
  2. Hence why I feel that will be an addition to sell the set to those who are more interested in constraction/buildable figure themes while the set itself would be system based. Generally the original Bionicle theme's building system was scrapped, so Lego stopped producing a majority of the pieces. This is arguably one of the reasons it can be viewed as 'Classic' along with it being released in 2001 making the first wave of the theme over 20 years old. It'd be very expensive and time consuming for Lego to try and revive an old building system to produce a single set. Some of them still occur occasionally, but it'd require Lego to revive an entire building system for a specific set. CCBS is an option, but I expect Lego have decided against using CCBS and are currently transitioning to a new building system that will be less expensive and/or more adaptable. Something akin to Knights Kingdom's building system would honestly be perfect for Lego currently. A future building figure theme would then be a nice blend between system and constraction.
  3. The remarks that have led me to believe that the 2nd poll will not be used to decide the winner: It seems to imply that any of the three themes from the 1st poll will be the anniversary set regardless of what happens in the 2nd poll, while the line is after the remarks on the polls it never specifies that the 2nd poll has any relevance It seems to imply that the purpose of the 2nd poll is solely to decide the most popular of the three themes and that this will not relate to the chosen set, it also seems unconnected to the results thanks to the remark 'but' The past tense nature of the remark 'helped' coupled with the line overall imply that the selection of the 90th anniversary set is completed at this stage Though they later remark on the 2nd poll and how 'there's still work to be done' they just repeat the same line of 'one of these three themes' which from prior context of the previous statement implies that the 2nd poll is just for popularity/market research for Lego and won't factor into the 90th anniversary set. The hidden nature of the 2nd vote makes it more likely to be accused of manipulation, thus any winner would be rejected by the fans as the results could easily be manipulated The open nature of the 1st vote means that while people may be disappointed with the results, they can legitimately count the votes themselves and verify the accuracy on a public database. The lack of this for the 2nd vote means it will be contested. Lego don't really have the time needed to produce the old pieces again and/or to produce a new constraction style building system (unless one was already planned for release in 2022) Most likely the Bionicle set would be: Some form of statue or head/bust (E.g. Tahu head/bust, Mata Nui statue) Some form of mosaic (E.g. Unity/Duty/Destiny Symbol, Bionicle Logo) Some form of replica of the island (E.g. Architecture style Mata Nui Island) A minifigure style set similar to the 20th anniversary set proposed on Lego Ideas A mech build akin to 71738: Zane's Titan Mech Battle, 76105: Hulkbuster Ultron Edition or other similar mechs The only constraction style thing you could hope for is maybe the addition of a Mask, like the MoUP could be included as a GWP or in the set because they had completed a design for it and probably still have the necessary things to create that lying around.
  4. The reality is such a poll would be used only to create conflict. This site is not as popular or widespread as the official Lego poll and has a very different audience. I'd prefer if the only conflict people had was over the official poll as opposed to varying sites all doing individual unofficial fan polls and using them to try and justify why 'x' should have won :P
  5. Admittedly, Avengers Tower seems old now also - given it was sold when they moved to the Avengers Compound and it's currently expected to either be Oscorp or the Baxter Building. I still feel Avengers Tower is more likely than a Gauntlet. Chances are Lego would go for the Infinity Gauntlet if we got a Gauntlet, because it is the more iconic Gauntlet appearing in more films and being a key factor in Phase 1-3. The Shield Helicarrier released in 2015 based around a 2012 movie (3 years) The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition released in 2018 based around a 2015 movie (3 years) The current D2C releasing in 2021 would be based off 2018 or prior (3 years) Whatever the set is going to be will likely be based on what is an 'old' thing by current standards given the 3 year delay.
  6. Lego never stated that the 2nd poll would have any influence. They only stated they will pick one of the three from the first poll. If anything, the remarks they made seemed to imply that the 2nd poll would be entirely irrelevant beyond curiosity and market research purposes. It makes no sense for Lego to obscure the 2nd poll if they have intent of using the 2nd poll to decide a set, because it'd automatically get resistance from the community and accusations of them messing with the votes. Admittedly they never stated that the winner of the first poll would be made into an anniversary set, but that has been the general mindset that the 1st place in the 1st poll would be adapted, and that is logical because it would be the most popular theme out of all the options. Bionicle having a 5,185 vote advantage will obviously be taken into account when deciding if it gets selected as the set for the 90th anniversary. Personally, I think Bionicle should get the set this time, but that Lego need to use the rest of the results to determine other themes to bring back over the next few years. Failing to give Bionicle the set after winning the votes and having over 32% of the votes would be unwise, especially seeing as 12.3% voted only for Bionicle. You'd be cutting out 12.3% of your potential market because they have shown no interest in the other anniversary options. The only alternative would be announcing that they secretly planned to adapt each of the top three themes into a set. Something along the lines of $30 set for the 3rd place, $60 set for the 2nd place and $90 set for the 1st place. That way they can have Bionicle win without alienating the 2nd and 3rd place voters who feel left out. Though admittedly the 2nd and 3rd place (Classic Space & Castle) are almost certain to get sets in the future due to popularity shown here. I think Bionicle for the 90th anniversary would also be justified, it is after all a theme that contributed heavily to Lego and it's arguably the only theme out of the selection that aired for a long time post 2000's - meaning it is more likely that the modern day target demographic for Lego are familiar with that theme. I also feel that Lego should NEVER do another poll to decide an anniversary set or theme. Instead the 100th anniversary should be a celebration of all themes with a set from each non-licensed theme. Thus pleasing everyone and effectively being a showcase of what Lego has produced in 100 years. It's clear also that this anniversary poll was flawed, while I can see the justification to splitting Castle, Castle should definitely recieve some sets in the years to come.
  7. Kinda... Lego Quinjets are generally around half or a third the size needed to get a minifigure scale. The cockpits are generally depicted as being two seaters rather than the one seaters we have had in set form, the interiors we get in Lego sets are normally a lot thinner. Later additions of the Quinjet, specifically in Age Of Ultron when it started to be used by the Avengers more had hollow wings to give it a more spacious feel. I've lowered expectations to an Avengers Tower with the same Tony Stark figure from the smaller GWP version that is not in scale with anything and is not accurate to any of the movies :p Honestly, I just want the D2C to be good. Give us something to hype over Lego.
  8. We still don't have any information to determine how the new deals made after Far From Home will impact the potential nature of getting a movie inspired set or a set based on the Sony films. We have one example from during the previous contract, but I don't feel that is enough to set a presidence. We'll just have to see what happens with the 18+ sets, if they get released this year. Hopefully, as long as things are spaced out a little it'd give us something new to discuss, modify, etc... rather than waiting on potential leaks for sets we might not get until much later in the year.
  9. Nothing is stopping Disney from doing Sony movie inspired or tie-in sets advertising Venom: Let There Be Carnage or other Sony Venomverse films and you have made no remark to contradict that. The contract between Sony & Disney has been re-worked twice since Far From Home so we are entering a realm where it is easily possible. Why would'nt Disney produce some level of associated sets for Venom 2 now that the project has demonstrated its financial viability and both Sony and Disney have expressed interest in some form of crossover between the brands. In a similar sense, Morbius, if financially viable and popular is likely going to be brought into the MCU in some form in the future (Potentially the Sinister Six) given the Michael Keaton Vulture cameo and the acknowledgement that it's seemingly set in the exacty same universe. Up until a week or so ago people dismissed the idea of the Disney+ shows getting sets and I feel people are now going to do the same regarding potential Sony connected sets - even though we have more information regarding a Carnage Head/Bust that we do a potential Wandavision set at the current time. Columbia Pictures & Marvel Entertainment - Spider-man 1: Lego Sets Columbia Pictures & Marvel Entertainment - Spider-man 2: Lego Sets Columbia Pictures & Marvel Entertainment - Spider-man 3: Mega Bloks sets Columbia Pictures & Marvel Entertainment - The Amazing Spider-man: Mega Bloks sets Columbia Pictures & Marvel Entertainment - The Amazing Spider-man 2: Electro polybag, A Comic Con exclusive TASM 2 suit and two comic style sets inspired by the movie Columbia Pictures & Marvel Studios - Homecoming: Lego sets Columbia Pictures & Marvel Entertainment - Venom: No sets Columbia Pictures & Marvel Studios - Far From Home: Lego sets Columbia Pictures & Marvel Entertainment - Venom: Let There Be Carnage: A rumoured Carnage Head/Bust (Potentially a Venom Head/Bust) Columbia Pictures & Marvel Entertainment - Morbius: Not currently known if Lego Sets Columbia Pictures & Marvel Studios - Spider-man 3 (2): Lego sets The Spider-man 3 and TASM Mega Bloks sets are believed to be due to getting outbid by Mega Bloks in regards to the rights. Venom can be dismissed as an exception due to the property at the time not being part of the MCU or financial viability in comparison to other 2018 films or simply as its own property. Not every MCU movie has gotten sets, in a similar regard not every Sony movie will get sets - but at the moment we are legitimately only missing 2018 Venom and when they lacked the rights - every other time Lego produced something related to the movie. The price and piece count demonstrates it is very unlikely to be a mosaic and the reports claiming it to be a Venom: Let There Be Carnage inspired Carnage Head/Bust were the same that correctly labelled every other price and description for the Winter 2021 wave of sets. 18+ sets can be anything, but one is seemingly a Carnage Head/Bust inspired and released intentionally because of Venom: Let There Be Carnage. It it does not happen then that'd be strange considering all the other information was correct and from the same source.
  10. D2C still seems like to be Avengers Tower, it's an iconic aspect of a majority of the first three phases. I think any speculation otherwise needs to consider that this needs to be as iconic/popular as the Helicarrier. I'm fairly sure the 18+ sets are tied to Sony movies, in particular 'Venom: Let there be Carnage', which is believed to have an R-Rating that might get delayed also potentially pushing back release. The rumored 'Carnage Head/Bust' is believed to be one of the 18+ sets and chances are the other 18+ set is a Venom Head/Bust, as why would'nt they make the protagonist of the movie into a Head/Bust also? If it is keeping its current June 25, 2021 release date then we have some reports that we'll see our first glimpse of the movie on February 7th 2021 during the superbowl. If we've got nothing by then, chances are the movie and potentially the sets will be delayed. If all the movie sets do get pushed back we could see everything other than the D2C, Disney+ sets and the comic book inspired sets getting pushed back.
  11. Could have sworn someone mentioned it as Q1 Guess we really don't nothing much to look forward to anytime soon in regards to releases/reveals then, unless WandaVision gets a set announcement or the D2C is actually first quarter. Barring leaks it'll be pretty quiet until late April/May if the Carnage Bust retains release. Was kinda hoping the D2C would give us something the first quarter of the year.
  12. THIS LIST IS OUTDATED, PLEASE REFER TO THE NEW VERSION The below has been spoiler tagged for a record of when information was released.
  13. Another round of delays seems certain - and not sure about most the world, but here in the UK we'll be in another lockdown when Eternals and Spider-man 3 are intended to release, chances are they'll be delayed. I think releasing potentially ten sets (Four Eternals, Six Spider-man 3*) around Winter is a bad idea as such, especially when the movies have such a slim chance of releasing then. *This is an estimated amount, at roughly half the recently announced set list being for Spider-man 3 along with the remark that the sets with prices & piece counts are ones that you have seen.
  14. It's beyond idiotic for Lego to do this. They should know at this point that these movies are not going to release this year unless they get put on Disney+. Delaying the sets is just going to worsen the problem as now they will be expected to hold off on potentially the Shang Chi, Eternals and Spider-man 3 sets and then rush the release of them all to next year along with the addition of whatever of the five current 2022 films (Doctor Strange 2, Thor 4, Black Panther 2, Captain Marvel 2 and an unknown October 2022 MCU movie) do not move from a 2022 release. How is this remotely sustainable for Lego or for fan interest in potential sets if they will be delayed another year.
  15. I'm leaning towards 76190, 76191, 76192, 76193, 76194 as the potential Spider-man 3 sets. Maybe throw in one of the $19.99 sets also Marvel is getting a $300 D2C according to reports we had a while back, this is apparently a 'First Half Of 2021' set. The $149.99 set is not the Marvel D2C, but something seperate apparently. DC is apparently getting a $200 one (though unfamiliar with exact details, just what I read prior from this thread) I personally could see a mini-wave covering the characters from the Disney+ shows honestly: Wanda, Comic Accurate Outfit (WandaVision) Vision, Comic Accurate Outfit (WandaVision) Monica Rambeau (WandaVision) Falcon, Cap Inspired Outfit (TF&TWS) Winter Soldier (TF&TWS) Baron Zemo (TF&TWS) Loki (Loki) Hawkeye, Ronin Outfit (Hawkeye) Kate Bishop (Hawkeye) Kamala Khan/Ms.Marvel (Ms.Marvel) Uatu/The Watcher (What If) Stan Lee
  16. Just my thoughts on what Falcon & Guyon revealed: Honestly seems about right. Shang Chi has a rather small main cast. All of these were stated as not being part of Shang Chi or Eternals. Unless a deal was made where potential Morbius or Venom sets would be part of Lego chances are these are a mixture of Spider-man 3, Comic Inspired and maybe a random MCU flashback style set. The lack of piece counts being for the $19.99 sets is interesting, personally I'm leaning towards them being a mini-theme of some sorts, remember the CCBS Superhero line? 76189, $9.99 set, might be comic inspired given the low piece count, similar to 76172. EDIT: It's also possible this might be a minifigure pack similar to last time The D2C is likely to be something Avengers related or generally MCU related. Avengers Helicarrier revamp, Avengers Quinjet, Avengers Base, maybe at a stretch the Sanctum Sanctorum (Given Doctor Strange 2 was originally going to be released in May 2021) though admittedly it'd be more of a general Sanctum Sanctorum rather than specifically focused around Doctor Strange 2 in any form Just hope the majority are great Spider-man 3 sets. Hopefully we see the D2C soon. Morbius was recently delayed seven months to October and No Time To Die has been delayed indefinitely. A theatrical launch is not viable and Black Widow needs to be released to explain elements in future Disney+ shows. If they push it back further they risk delaying the entire slate another year so chances are it is moving to Disney+. The lack of a theatrical release after all the delays looks bad for Disney, given they could have released it ages ago and it would have helped encourage the merchandise sales while also seeing if the streaming model worked. Now they potentially need to release Black Widow and maybe Shang Chi on streaming services, after delaying both multiple times. As such the last few days Disney has been pushing out a stream of positive news, tons of rumours about things they plan to do in the future, etc... I'm simply expecting a lot of it to be talk designed to keep people onboard when Disney will now release Black Widow on Disney+ after refusing to do so for a year. I just would'nt be too trusting of announcements of future potential projects/cameos at this point, until Disney get releases sorted.
  17. Could just be a method of distracting from Black Widow getting delayed (or moved to Disney+) along with the potential delay for Shang Chi
  18. Anyway... getting back on topic :P Even though NYTF is not happening physically, that does not prevent us from getting official reveals that we would otherwise have gotten at the NYTF time. It's also possible that it will become an online/virtual showcase to businesses and those who normally provide NYTF images or news will likely be part of those able to view these (E.g. Brickjournal, Zusammengebaut, etc...) I'm sure Lego will find a method of advertising sets, so don't worry that it's not physical.
  19. Beekeeper is likely a nod to A.I.M's original outfit in the comics, where they work brightly colored hazmat suits that resemble the beekeeper suit. I expect the main villain is AIM, which would be a continuation of the idea of AIM still being active (Ant-Man). This would also explain the inclusion of Jimmy Woo from Ant-Man 2. Either Wanda and Agnes are imprisoned and/or Wanda is imprisoned while Agnes is working with AIM to ensure Scarlet Witch is kept in a dream state. If I had to guess it is most likely Agatha Harkness, this timed renamed Agnes played by Kathryn Hahn. The character plays a role in the comics that inspired the series and we even see Kathryn Hahn dressed as a witch while sitting in a car and having her two primary colours from the comic when she's in her jogging outfit. Images and comic screencap to demonstrate in the spoiler tag. Chances are we'd get her as a figure regardless if we were to get a set because she is the neighbour character who is known to interact with Wanda and Vision repeatedly throughout the series. In my view a perfect Lego set would have Wanda and Vision in the comic accurate outfit, Monica Rambeua and Agnes as figures. The set itself would be a typical sitcom style interior room set-up with a TV, Chair and some walls you could rotate to portray different time periods. Maybe throw in the Beekeeper depending on how much of a role they have, but I get the vibe they are primarily just to symbolise an AIM agent. Most likely the multiverse problems are either a direct result of the actions of the Avengers during Avengers Endgame, Doctor Strange during Doctor Strange or Kang The Conqueror who will appear in Ant-Man 3. Wanda & Agnes will likely be the aspect that makes these problems worsen though. Potentially they don't even need a villain OR if they wanted to set-up a next 'Thanos style threat' for Phase 6 they could say its caused by Annihilus and the Annihilation Wave or a similar cosmic/multiverse scale threat that won't really be addressed until much later on. Also, just realised all these comments are from you, was not intentional, just felt they were the best leaping off points for discussion on the potential figures/sets/discussion :p
  20. It mostly revolves around the first reschedule. This pushed Eternals to February (Now November), Shang Chi to May (Now July) and Spider-man 3 to November (Now December). I expect the sets for Eternals and Shang Chi will release near these dates. Eternals and Shang Chi would have been too far along in production/release to really alter plans. The most complicated release will be the Spider-man 3 sets. Given if they release the entire Spider-man 3 wave in November/December it'd presumably be competiting with the Eternals sets. I think Lego as such would be forced to release the Spider-man 3 sets in July, maybe a spoiler set later - though luckily we should have a trailer or potentially full trailer by then. Lego are just going to let 2021 be a mess and then try to regain some organisation in 2022. Most likely Lego sets won't start getting back to a regular film & set release schedule until 2022 if we have no more delays. On the bright side this would mean a Doctor Strange wave in Q1, Thor 2 in Q2, Black Panther 2 wave in Q3 and Captain Marvel 2 wave in Q4 - this along with potentially Ant-Man 3 somewhere in all of that. So 5 MCU movies and associated sets in 2022.
  21. Probably, not buying in the slightest that he randomly shows up to help our already incredibly over-powered large cast of heroic characters. The only things we know about the Celestials so far in the MCU is that they pre-date the Infinity Stones and that they were notorious for using the Infinity Stones for destructive purposes. Just speculating, but would admittedly feel like what they attempted with the Supreme Intelligence in Captain Marvel Speaking from a set perspective as no idea the role they play or do not play in the film. Eson The Searcher is the most well-known Celestial among the movie fans, he's appeared in Guardians Of The Galaxy and his actions already demonstrate that the Celestials will not be righteous beings. He also appeared in Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 and generally seemed to be getting more attention. Granted Lego have went with a slightly more comic inspired version of Arishem that has the six 'eyes', that perhaps the movie will also have (given the above pic is concept art), but personally I think the other Eternals pictured here look a lot more interesting from a visual standpoint and would have provided better sets. Personally I would have went with the celestial on the left who appears to have an interesting colour scheme and a distinct 'arc' around them.
  22. Ah, must have missed it with the hype :p Just bounced off your comment as a way of explaining when to expect the sets, not intended as a directional thingy :p
  23. The monster builds are neat, but honestly should have been an independent theme of Mixel inspired builds for cheap, I can see why people might army build them if that was the case. Other than the monsters, none of the sets really appeal. It feels kinda like a system version of Hero Factory: Invasion From Below - just with incredibly overpowered characters/figures rather than justifying it with giving them mech suits or something. Like, I know each of these characters is overpowered as all heck, but it still would have been nice seeing something more in the sets. For those unfamiliar each of the hero characters is effectively Superman in terms of power scale with Though it is appreciated we got more detail for the figures, It's a shame the detail has been give. Thought I'd like the Celestial build, but they chosen Arishem? WHY. The pricing is a potential yikes for the mech, will be interesting seeing what happens - especially with the mech. The movie design being so gangle makes for a rather weird build and the helmet is randomly Eson's instead despite Eson being a much bulkier Celestial. People need to remember we are working with Lego sets that were likely produced and planned for the original release dates. Eternals was originally scheduled for November 6, 2020 and then February 12 2021, then November 2021. We are seeing the sets now based on the second release date. Shang Chi was originally scheduled for February 12, 2021, then shifted to May 7 2021, now July 2021. We could get sets released around May, so it'd make sense for them not to be in the catalogue until nearing the middle of the year. Spider-man 3 (2.0) was originally scheduled for July 16, 2021, then shifted to November 2021, now December 2021. It's possible that we see or have some of the sets released in July, but chances are they have been pushed back to around November as per the second stated release date.
  24. If we do get a D2C - it would most likely be Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum given Doctor Strange 2 was originally meant to release on May 7th 2021 and is the aspect that apparently ties together the multiverse plotlines. The alternative would be something based on a previous film, such as the Quinjet, Avengers Tower, Avengers Compound or even a redesigned version of the Helicarrier. Doctor Strange is confirmed as Peter's mentor figure in Spider-man 3 - as such I expect Wong to have a role to play (probably something similar to Happy Hogan in Far From Home). Given all this multiverse stuff apparently starts with Scarlet Witch in WandaVision and Doctor Strange 2 serves as a partial continuation of Spider-man 3, I expect Scarlet Witch to have a role in Spider-man 3, even if it is only a minor role. It'd also capitalise on the WandaVision show, ofcourse that was before the delays. Generally was thinking the Spider-man 3 sets would each have at least a member of the heroes VS a member of the Sinister Six (If that's what they are going for). We probably won't see the sets until late 2021 though, even given the initial July release of the movie and the Lego sets presumably being pushed back for either a late 2021 or early 2022 release. Otherwise we'd have the sets intentionally getting released in the middle of the year for a movie we may not see till December at the earliest.
  25. I can see maybe Electro playing the same character, but with a new look. Doctor Octopus is a complicated one though, he died - so they would need to take the Raimi Spider-man either from that part of his timeline OR have this be a different version. That is going under the viewpoint of this being a Trio Spider-man VS Sinister Six film. No knowledge on the situation, but if we are having six villains personally would go for 4 sets: 'Watts' Spider-man (Red/Black Suit) VS Villain 1 Doctor Strange + 'Watts' MJ VS Villain 2 Scarlet Witch + Wong VS Villain 3 + Villain 4 'Watts' Spider-man (New Suit) + 'Webb' Spider-man + 'Raimi' Spider-man VS Villain 5 + Villain 6 Something like that - big set of the wave would have the three Spider-man together. Or they could split the Spider-man figures amongst the wave and potentially give variants/battle damaged ones for the big set. If we get something like six sets, then they would just split the villains each between a set and have a 'collect the Sinister Six' theme. Generally the vibe has been that this series is building to the passing of the torch from Peter to Miles - in a similar way Tony passed to Peter. If the deal goes bleh then they would have Peter die or leave this multiverse to go to the Sonyverse with Miles taking up as the MCU Spider-man for cameos or a heroic version of the Prowler. I'm willing to bet that we have: 'Watts' Spider-man appearing in Doctor Strange 2 'Watts' Spider-man appearing in Venom 2 (Cameo) 'Watts' Spider-man appearing in a Sinister Six spin-off movie (Unless Spider-man 3 or 4 serves that purpose) 'Watts' Spider-man appearing in Fantastic Four 'Watts' Spider-man getting a Spider-man 4 where he passes the mantle to Miles
