  1. What about the potential for an early Europe/UK release given the set being on sale in Luton airport? I doubt March 31st is a worlwide release date if the set was put out for sale on/before the 14th February.
  2. They mean 'British style' as in reference to the character Captain Britain. Spider-man has white lines on his outfit on his arms and on his torso similar to how Captain Britain had them to highlight his logo. Click the spoiler tag for image of the merchandise and the comic portrayal of Captain Britain and Spider-man wearing a similar style suit in the comics. Hall Of Armour set is likely not based on Iron Man 3. Tony has had some of his armour destroyed in the past and rebuilt it - so it makes sense he would have rebuilt and displayed some of his armours during his 'retirement' - as a way to fondly look back at the past. The potential inclusion of a fourth figure could also reveal if that character returns to Earth as the Hall Of Armour is likely going to be part of the Avengers Compound judging via concept art. The Avengers Compound battle meanwhile is likely going to feature 'Rescue', a character who they would rather reveal in the movie if not for the actress spoiling the reveal. Discussion has also appeared of a threat that is larger than Thanos, not necessarily a person, but that may be represented in some form in the Avengers Compound battle or a potential additional set. The figures in this set alongside the Hall Of Armour set will also give us more of an idea of if an additional set is going to be released. The level of secrecy surrounding them at the moment is fairly normal to be honest. Instruction manuals do not necessarily reveal the entire wave and we are only just passing the middle of February. The Infinity War sets were officially revealed before NYTF last year, but they had an earlier release. Personally i think the MCU may be hiding aspects of Endgame to create hype even if everyone has already guessed exactly what will happen - they used the same strategy regarding the title reveal. I like how this thread keeps going all the way round - we speculate or discuss one option which is veto'd and then a few weeks later we are back to discussing the original option. A couple of weeks/months ago i mentioned that we'd definitely see the sets in February, people claimed we would'nt because of the release date being April/March 31st or the secrecy... and now we have sets appearing in stores, have seen three of them via an instruction manual image and we have the potential early release date in the UK to justify that and people are talking about the potential for official reveals coming in February
  3. We dont really have confirmation of her being in the hall of armour. I and others are just thinking that if the other figures in the set are the highly detailed mark 1, 5 and 41 that it would make sense for the other figure to re-use the QRS or be more simple - hence why Nebula was thrown into the suggestion pool. The Hall Of Armour could easily include Tony or any other character really that might be less spoiler heavy. Attack On Avengers Tower from AoU had 515 pieces... mentally take that set, lie it on its side and imagine the front and top segment of it are open. Now imagine that the three different segments are based around the Avengers Compound, one of which including some form of Quantum Realm Generator device. That is my expectations for the Avengers Compound set, a cutaway segment of the Avengers Compound with the focal point being the interior as opposed to the exterior - that could potentially attach to the Iron Man Armour Room set. Though the set has been described as a playset based around the figures, so honestly i think the build will likely be lacking and we should keep expectations low as the focal point for the set will definitely be the inclusion of Thanos & Hulk along with whatever other characters are included.
  4. Eh... still expecting a new article to appear showing off the Iron Man armour roomset before Toy Fair is over - especially if the March release date is accurate for UK/Europe (as people have speculated by the early appearance of the War Machine Buster)
  5. I believe so - which sucks. The only option is resellers charging £40+ for the set, not including shipping costs OR buying knock-off's/customs. They really should'nt be leaving locations out of promotional sets like this - especially ones with characters that are highly sought after such as Wong or War Machine.
  6. This is a behind-the-scenes image of them setting up for the Toy Fair. It would be incredibly careless of them to reveal a brand new set via this method. If we are going to see the new Marvel sets via NYTF chances are they would either be in a seperate display that is covered until a specific time/day of the event OR for press only OR we'd have them unveiled via an associated news posting such as how the Rexcelsior was revealed.
  7. True, just trying to factor in figures that are likely first such as the QRS Nebula, Ronin, Ant-Man (Micro), Pepper/Rescue and Captain Marvel. We could get a Tony also but i do not think that would be as high a priority as the other figures listed would be. Though regardless of which fourth figure the Armour Room contains, it's a definite purchase for the suits. I could see the Endgame Armour Room set being revealed - it seems like the best set the wave has and potentially the least spoiler filled if they claim it is based on Iron Man 3. The alternative is that we see images of it leak - and i think it would be better doing a reveal of that set than letting it just leak.
  8. If the spoilery remark is accurate, i doubt the Outriders would suddenly alter in appearance by gaining armor. I could maybe see the justification for claws, but armor seems too 'sentient' for beings depicted as beast-like in the movie. Personally never got into the idea of army building them. Could be accurate, but personally the three Outriders from last year are enough for me. Just an odd choice while last years sets are still around. I hope we get an additional spoilery set later on, as these are kind of consumed by a mixture of Outriders and Quantum Realm Suits. Could see remaining figures distributed something like this if we dont get an additional set/polybag $60, 524 pcs; Nebula (QRS), Mark 1, Mark 5, Mark 41 $100, 699 pcs; Thanos, Hulk, Mark 85, Ronin, Captain Marvel, Pepper/Rescue & Ant-Man (Microfig)
  9. Polybag will make the price of the Quantum Realm suits drop further, making it easy to army build them - which is always good. It's nice also as it frees up another figure slot in a later set. We still dont need five outriders in the cheapest two sets - especially given the previous sets were released last year and are still in stores and available on Lego shop. It's more the fact it is an odd business decision giving people pretty much what they got last year with the only variants being armor or claws that do not really match the designs of the Outriders. The fact we are unable to tell who the head belongs to is why i dont want it to be Pepper's, it barely looks like her and it clearly lacks enough of a likeness for people to recognise it as that character given we have been debating who it has been from for a long time. The head also looks way too young to be Pepper.
  10. A name leak coupled with speculation because of the Avengers compound being featured in the box art. I think people may be overhyping it though considering it does not have many pieces and was described in the past as being focused around figures. It's believed that the Mark 85, Thanos and Prof.Hulk will be in the biggest set.
  11. Some of the new suits needed arm printing for accuracy, but it's understandable why they dont and the figures are still great without it - only bones/mark 41 suffers in my viewpoint as we have no option of a replacement and the level of detail means a replacement is unlikely to ever be found. Meanwhile the Mark 1 could use the Tinman arms and the Mark 5 could potentially borrow the Silver Centurion arms from the polybag as a replacement which would increase its accuracy. Actually, at this point, AFOL's and older teenagers are the primary demographic - those who have been following the MCU for its lifespan of 10 years. Obviously it needs to appeal to younger fans also, but the appeal of license sets has always been the figures - Star Wars gets new moulds and printing for virtually every character, DC gets a new version of Batman in almost every set. The MCU is the highest grossing franchise in the world and instead of using the marketting techniques that they use for other themes, they seem to be incredibly inconsistent regarding focus and quality. E.g. Not capitalising on the many variations of Iron Man suits Star Wars used to make money... it'd be interesting to see how much the Force Awakens, Rogue One, Last Jedi and Solo did in regards to Lego sales. Pretty sure they would follow the same decline as other Star Wars merchandise which is still shelfwarming to this day. That is not factoring in the license fee being a lot higher for Star Wars sets. Also, if you are going to pull the 'makes the most money' card then you should consider that the MCU is the highest grossing franchise in the world with a massive audience of fans - they could be making so much money off the MCU based Lego sets, but instead they just dont bother sometimes leading to inconsistent quality of sets and not making it easy for people to justify the purchase. I expect the reasoning behind it is along the lines of 'eh, enough people will buy it anyway' in regards to some sets.
  12. Does the set being in store now mean that we'll get a March release after all? It would'nt make much sense for them to have gotten the set two months prior? I can easily see someone mistakingly putting out a March set in February, not so much in regards to an April set in February... By giving a single QRS figure arm printing, people could have got duplicates for every QRS figure with arm printing - raising the appeal of the QRS. Over $135 worth of sets leaked so far we get; 1 new torso & leg print (QRS Suit) 1 new torso & head print (Chitauri) 1 new head (Captain America) 2 new helmets (Captain America & Ant-Man) 1 new variant helmet (War Machine) In comparison the armour room for $60 has; 3 new torso & leg print (Mark 1, Mark 5, Mark 41) 3 new variant helmets (Mark 1, Mark 5, Mark 41) Examining the sets themselves counting new figure pieces as the set they are introduced in; One new head, helmet, torso & leg piece in a $20 set One new helmet and variant helmet in a $35 set Three new armours with torso & leg printing with three variant helmets in the $60 set One new head & torso piece in a $80 set No. We should'nt 'cut LEGO some slack' simply because the sets exist. The whole point of buying a license to make sets based on the movies is so that they can make sets based on the movies - we should not ignore quality of figures (a massive factor in buying licensed theme sets) simply because it exists. If your interest is the figures, what appeal does a recycled torso and leg piece coupled with recycled figures you army built last year offer? They can make great sets such as the 'Iron Man armour room' which from the three revealed suits is shaping up to be the best set of the wave - but the quality being so inconsistent is why it seems like people here are never happy with it. We see something excellent and before we have time to praise it or get hyped we find out information or see a set with odd design choices or simply lower quality despite being a higher price We have great things in this line such as Captain America's helmet, Ant-Man's helmet, Mk1, Mk5, Mk41 and Thanos getting arm printing - but they tend to get overshadowed by other more odd choices. Hope you understand what i mean.
  13. If i am to 'army build' a figure then i'd prefer it to have at minimum torso, legs and head print. Including the Outriders in the Endgame sets as such was a mistake that makes justifying these sets a lot more difficult as i have no interest in the Outriders which make up 50% (Or more) of the figures in 76123 and 76124. 76123; Bricklinking Cap's Helmet and potentially a cheap set of QRS suits 76124; May buy on clearance otherwise bricklinking Ant-Man & War Machine helmet 76126; No interest in Quinjet despite how nice it looks, Bricklinking Chitauri unless they are in another set. Lack of QRS arm printing for Rocket makes me question if i will try to have a full QRS team. On the bright side, i will be able to afford multiples of the armour room set. If the armour room itself is a great build then perhaps i'll have a massive armory in the style of that set. Original leaker definitely managed to buy the set given the images leaked are from the instruction manual.
  14. Seemed more like a hint towards a 'Lego Movie 3' - remarking that the sequel had just finished filming and that they were going to immediately 'greenlight a third video'. The set itself is a bit of a mixed bag. Personally i think they should have went UCS scale to make it slightly larger - giving a few more rooms and providing perhaps one or two more minifigures. It just feels small - especially with how cramped the compartments are when the Raptors are added to the microrooms.
  15. Was this really what people were on about for the last few pages? Why could'nt someone have just linked it in the first place Mysterio looks like he is based on the comics, not the film.
  16. Those who posted the image on sites like instagram speculated that the image shown may not be for the new TV series but instead to promote some sort of AR app/game on your phone (Hence the ghostly figure on the phone). Have we had anything to confirm the image is advertising the TV series?
  17. Do you have a link to the source on this, or the merchandise itself so we can take a look at the other suit? I have been unable to find it via google
  18. I too would appreciate more diverse characters, especially Miles Morales In regards to marketting, Marvel are trying to keep things hidden, but Sony has a say regarding the marketting for 'Far From Home' - hence why we got the 'Far From Home' trailer revealing Spider-man/Peter and teasing the outcome of Endgame. It's unclear if Sony has a large say over the Lego merchandise, but given the Shocker scenario mentioned, it's likely they have some say.
  19. I could see them revealing the 'Iron Man Armor Room' set now that we have seen three of the Iron Man suits - revealing a set with the 'Mark 1' would generate hype to those who have not seen the leaks while also avoiding spoiling Endgame depending on what the set is based upon. Though it would be quite early.
  20. The Quantum Ream/Team suit was the first to leak in terms of concept art - so it would make sense that Lego would not be as protective in terms of security regarding those suits. It would be easier for figures that would be included in a polybag to go 'missing' as opposed to an important figure from a new set. As for why the polybag itself may not have leaked, these are normally things taken from a production line. At the moment the only figures that have leaked from the sets according to reports are the Mk1, Mk5, Mk41, Mk85, Nebula, Hulk, Thanos and the Chitauri (Head leaked). Popularity of a selection of those figures could explain why they were leaked so quickly. All of these are aspects we have seen before via concept art for the film or in previous films. The security is likely a lot tighter on newer aspects.
  21. As far as i can tell the only comments in the past relating to the Captain America set being a vehicle set come from speculation from varying people reposting the leaks about the set being a 'kit'. It could very well be a vehicle as all the prior Avengers Movie small sets have been, but the earliest description i can find lists it as being a 'kit' instead. The only mention of 76123 being a vehicle that i can find is via TheLegoBatman who stated they got the information from a Hungarian retailer/retail site and told us this on Saturday. Done :)
  22. Not particularly, we have prices and via the titles we have an idea of what the figures will be that are included in the set. 76123 could potentially be a bit misleading in regards to its title. Other than that we just have expected figures 76123 – Captain America: Attack of the Outrider 'kit set': $20, 167 pieces Known Inclusions; Captain America 76124: War Machine Crusher 'vehicle set': $35, 362 pieces Known Inclusions; War Machine 76125: Iron Man Armor Room 'location set': $60, 524 pieces Known Inclusions; Iron Man MK1, Iron Man MK5, Iron Man MK41 Suspected Inclusions; Tony Stark 76126: Avengers Super Quinjet 'big vehicle': $80, 832 pieces 76131: Battle of the Assembled Avengers - 'location set': $100, 699 pieces Suspected Inclusions; Thanos, Hulk, Iron Man Mk 85 Figures without a set; Chitauri 9 - Minifigures of Quantum Ream/Team suit in Polybag including; - Captain America - Iron Man - Black Widow - Ant-Man Microfig Ant-Man Quantum Ream/Team suit Nebula Quantum Ream/Team suit Ummm... where/when? The only vehicle sets we know about for this wave via the details given were 76124 and 76126. The leak that stated the nature of the sets described the Captain America set as a 'Kit Set'
  23. We'd need two versions if that was the case, one with the triangle reactor, one with the circle reactor.
  24. That's not how bootleg/knockoff sets work. Quality varies both in design and in bricks - which you can read a bit about here. 'Elephant' according to that source generally has high quality figures. In terms of 'Elephant' the goal is for the set to be as amusing and creative as possible while providing exclusive figures cheap in the knockoffs they make (They made those Iron Man suits based on other Marvel characters). This set likely intends to appeal to those unwilling to spend $190+ on the Infinity War sets to get Thor, Doctor Strange, Iron Man and Iron Spider - chances are the knockoff will be a lot cheaper to make and a lot cheaper to buy even if it may not be the same quality. *Worth looking at the 'House Party' protocol image
  25. Need more images of the larger Rexcelsior build - its slightly bigger than the scale we ended up getting and it would be interesting to see if it can be replicated
