  1. It was not necessarily bad, but it could have been done a bit better smoothing out segments, giving us a full cast of microfigure Avengers, having a better minfigure selection, etc... and it was quite overpriced for what it was to fit in a gimmick that was sold seperately It tried to balance appealing as a display model with also having a microfigure segment and throwing in minifigures. Generally that's the thing with Marvel D2C's so far, they have tried to appeal to multiple aspects and as such it's resulted in compromises to other aspects. D2C Information: 76178: Marvel D2C $299.99 RELEASES 1HY (Before May 31st according to Falcon) It is not the Statesman Don’t get your hopes up for X-men or fantastic four for the d2c The D2C may not be based on the MCU Thanos's ship as far as I know has not been deconfirmed, though generally it's viewed as unlikely we would get a D2C focused on a ship that only featured for a short role in Thor 3, Infinity War and Endgame. Only the ship from Thor 3 has been dismissed.
  2. What you talking about, it's 2019 and we're all hyped after Endgame
  3. So, speculation? Tis fine if so, but think another user was saying it as if you are a source... Six (Potentially 7) sets - yeah, definitely getting a similar vibe xD The figures could all be from a seperate film, perhaps they are doing a legacy wave of the last Seven Phase 3 movies: Korg could be from Thor 3 (2017) Black Panther depending on what it is could be from Black Panther OR Infinity War (2018) Rocket seems to be from Endgame (2019) Mysterio would most likely be Far From Home (2019) Then the other three sets would be based on Black Panther OR Infinity War, Ant-Man & The Wasp and Captain Marvel - with the D2C being an unknown factor presumably celebrating the theme as a whole (Avengers Tower? Infinity Gauntlet?)
  4. Legacy Wave incoming?!?!?!
  5. Finally get missing figures... They are innacurate... Ah, I see nothing has changed It's also an odd choice considered that Infinity War sets had a Rocket Raccoon with an appropriate leg colour. Though yeah, you need Dark Blue for Endgame Rocket:
  6. Brief reminder of the sets around June to October that we are aware of, you can find the full list here. June: 76186: $39.99/19.99€ (202 Pieces) Avengers Theme 76189: $9.99/9.99€ (49 pieces) (4+) Avengers Theme 76190: $39.99/39.99€ (479 pieces) Avengers Theme 76191: $69.99/69.99€ (590 pieces) (18+) Avengers Theme 76192: $69.99/89.99€ (527 pieces) Avengers Theme 76193: $149.99/149.99€ (1901 pieces) Avengers Theme August: 76194: $34.99/34.99€ (369 pieces) Disney+ Theme 76200: 29.99€ (265 pieces) Avengers Theme October: 76184: $19.99/19.99€ (73 Pieces) (4+) Spider Man theme 76185: $19.99/39.99€ (355 Pieces) Spider Man theme 76195: $19.99/19.99€ (198 Pieces) Spider Man theme
  7. 76184: $19.99/19.99€ (73 Pieces) (4+) perhaps?
  8. If it is from Far From Home, then chances are it'd include Spider-man in his red/black costume - which was something a lot of people wanted that we never got in the Far From Home sets. I could imagine a set based on the final battle with the bridge, drones and the illusionary monster.
  9. 'Figures' we are aware of: Black Panther - Lego_Fulcrum teased the inclusion of something Black Panther related using an Avengers Infinity War Black Panther poster Scarlet Witch - CM4Sci mentioned we would get a figure of this character with her new costume from Episode 9 of WandaVision Rocket Raccoon - Kingwong75 mentioned that we would the Avengers Endgame version of Rocket Raccon in a set Korg - We have a leaked image of the helmet piece that would belong to Korg Mysterio - Lego_Fulcum has just now posted an image of Mysterio As a sidenote, if Mysterio is back... potentially in the NWH sets, then maybe MCU Sinister Six will be a thing after all.
  10. Pretty much nailed it. The source says 76192 includes 1 Big Fig. The source seems to rule out it being Hulk and seems confident of that. The source does not think it is Thanos, but the wording implies they have not seen the set to be able to completely rule out it being Thanos - it is what they are assuming based on what they know about the set. They are probably getting fed information from someone who specifically told them that Hulk was not in the set and potentially said the set was based on 'x' which has resulted in them thinking it is not Thanos. E.g. it's based on a piece of media that one would not expect to get a big fig of Thanos with. The only previously introduced MCU characters I can see getting the big fig treatment in the set other than Hulk & Thanos would be: Iron Monger, Abomination, Surtur, Cull Obsidian maybe a potential Dormammu at a stretch Personally, though I'd prefer a brick built figure, I could see it being Surtur. This would fit with the Korg figure into a Ragnarok legacy set. In essence, my theory is that 76192 is a Ragnarok legacy set (Effectively a redone version of 76084 The Ultimate Battle For Asgard) Build would be the Rainbow Bridge Big Fig Surtur (New Big Fig) Korg (New Figure) Thor (One eye lightning face on one side, Normal face with one eye covered by patch on the other side) Valkyrie (Final Battle Outfit) Hela and/or Skurge Bruce Banner
  11. Yeah, WandaVision did not really offer much... I can see either a set or minifigure pack including four figures which would suffice.
  12. As far as I can recall, not really. We normally get a glimpse of them in some form but generally it is either Lego intentionally teasing OR a piece/figure of the set. The Helicarrier was first teased inside the 'G' of a Lego Designer video - but I don't think we saw what it looked like until the reveal of the Calendar. We may have had figure leaks, but not particularly sure about those. The Hulkbuster I remember us only having a mystery Hulkbuster helmet and nothing else for about a month or so, it got to the stage people were unsure we would even get the D2C and thought it may have been fake. Eventually we got a figure leak I think also. May would make the most sense. Hopefully we get a surprise WandaVision set to fill the gap
  13. Some of the leakers previously reassured us of April, that's what I wanted to double check. I'd also say that it does not really make much sense for the Shang Chi polybag to release before the sets
  14. Hopefully WandaVision 9 tomorrow will give us more to discuss and hype/talk about regarding potential sets. Still expecting us to get a Disney+ WandaVision set reveal soon I still doubt it is the August set, seems too far away. Expecting a Venom Head Bust soon to go along with Carnage I'm seeing some sites still listing the release date as May rather than April, are we still sure they release April? Though I am more surprised at the lack of D2C information or leaks. Something of that price should be more difficult to hide, we should really be getting something from that... as per Falcon it should be released before May 31st. As such we really only have March, April or May - and D2C's are generally made a big deal of.
  15. On the bright side - this is further demonstrating we could have a surprise minifigure pack/set at any time :P Added it to the list :) The Venomized Iron Man features a new helmet design, so now you can get the transformation from Iron Man to Venomized Iron Man which was included in another set, though admittedly we still need a finalized torso print to show a fully converted Iron Man - so I'd guess we are gonna get another Venomized Iron Man variant in future...
  16. Personally I've zero interest in a background/setting for a potential WandaVision set, they could do a minifigure pack and I'd be happy with that The characters in the show are the important part. This is only amplified by it being part of the MCU Lego line-up where the appeal generally comes from the figures more than the builds. A lot of the settings change every episode also, so they don't particularly have the longevity needed to really justify a specific portrayal of the house for example. The only thing with longevity would be the S.W.O.R.D base or some variation of it and that would be the least interesting thing I could think of the set including as a build because it sidesteps a lot of the core appeal of the show. Only thing I can see them attempting is some sort of converting facade of the house in order to replicate the shift from black & white to colour - but that occured earlier in the series and the info we have hints towards a Wanda figure from Episode 9
  17. Honestly, that would be pretty awesome. Though unfortunately Marvel D2C's seem to be in development for around 2-3 years. I would not expect this to be based on anything past early 2019 at the latest. The most likely option would be something based on Infinity War - given we previously had D2C's based on Avengers and Avengers Age Of Ultron. With the potential WandaVision set, I would guess it would have a similar budget to the $34.99 Disney+ set we are aware of that is releasing August. From reports on the Wanda Lego costume via CM4Sci it sounds like a potential set would be based on Episode 9 - so it's difficult to really judge what the build could be. As for figures, speculated a bit about them below.
  18. You are going to have a very expensive few months of Lego Plus if you are interested in Harry Potter, you have Fantastic Beasts 3 releasing in July. Wonder if we'll get Spider-Verse 2 sets then also...
  19. Make sure everyone is saving up for next year, it's gonna be the big one. 10th Anniversary of Avengers & Lego MCU sets, Five or Six movies and at least three Disney+ series.
  20. According to StoneWars during the interim when 55,159 users had voted in the first round, it gave us the following: 6,586 users (11.9%) only voted for Bionicle meaning the remaining 10,525 votes overlapped with another non-Bionicle theme/themes 2,557 users (4.6%) only voted Castle themes meaning the remaining 23,738 votes overlapped with another non-Castle theme/themes 2,457 users (4.5%) only voted Space themes meaning the remaining 20,939 votes overlapped with another non-Space theme/themes 311 users (0.6%) only voted Pirate themes meaning the remaining 13,616 votes overlapped with another non-Pirate theme/themes As such we could analyse the data from the finalised first round to get a bit of a hint towards who the winner could potentially be. Would require cataloguing all users and all votes they have been made during the first round - then removing any votes that does not fall into the final four themes. This would help transition more votes from the 'overlapped' to the 'only Bionicle/Space/Castle/Pirate theme' category. At which point you'd be able to determine how much of the overlapped votes remain which would give you a rough idea of how much swing variance you'd get during the second poll. Granted users are not guaranteed to follow pre-existing voting patterns, but it could give us a rough basis - the only question is if it is worth cataloguing 77,742 users and the votes they have made to potentially get a few months heads up on the anniversary set's theme? If anyone wants to join in making a group google document to do so I'd be willing to work on it I feel if this was a group project: 7 volunteers cataloguing 77,742 users & votes 11,106 total users catalogued by each volunteers over the course of the project Project spanning over the course of 50 days Average input of 222.12 users results recorded per day per volunteer (1,554.84 users & votes catalogued per day) We'd have a rough basis for the winning theme by April... As opposed to me doing it on my own at a pace of 222.12 users a day which would take me 350 days Though yes, most of it is going to be just speculation and/or waiting for our first hints towards the 90th anniversary 2022 set - which might not come until mid/late 2022 (Anniversary is 10th August)
  21. I think the red/black outfit will be his main/final battle outfit, but I'd like us to get a red/yellow outfit similar to the spoilered image and his more retro outfit would also be nice, if the tournament aspect is also true. We are definitely getting a 'main character + Dragon' polybag, so hopefully it's a variant of Shang Chi. In addition I'd expect the smaller set to also feature Shang Chi or a variant given it'd be strange to have the main character not in that set. Would be fine with them adapting the shorts into scales or simply ignoring them as some adaptations do - I just think he needs to retain the green appearance. I think they could also go down the more metallic look in order to vary it from the Dragon we saw in Thor Ragnarok and make it appear more alien/other worldly to hint at the Makluan aspect. Hopefully occurs sooner rather than later, that said if it releases May it gives us something else on the calendar that is Lego Marvel related to hype for other than just the Carnage head/bust. Any chance we get info soon?
  22. With Episode 8 done, we have hints towards what we could get in the potential WandaVision set that CM4Sci teased along with a rough reason of why we have not seen the set prior. Spoiler tagged due to Episode 8 content If we do get a WandaVision set reveal it could be on March 8th via Marvel Must Haves - so would be sure to keep eyes peeled after Episode 9 airs. Also, for those wondering about Scarlet Witch's new costume:
  23. In terms of the Shang Chi set, it should be noted this is the more expensive set: 76177: Battle At The Ancient Village $39.99/39.99€. Have updated the list. In terms of thoughts: I would not be surprised if this is a new Dragon designed as an adaptation of White Dragon. Perhaps they are taking the concept of the Dragon Lords literally? Maybe we'll see the Makluans? Seems to be a Water Dragon, in terms of design could see this working for Fin Fang Foom, but would not be a fan of the colour swap Dragon from the box art appears to be fighting for the good guys, given the Dragon is attacking Death Dealer and seemingly trying to grab Wenwu in the box art Makes sense our heroes would have support in the fight if the Mandarin has the rings Maybe Fin Fang Foom is in the other set so we can get a Dragon Vs Dragon showdown No idea what 'Morris'/'Horris' is meant to be, perhaps it is the smaller form of the massive Dragon? Hopefully the other set is Fin Fang Foom so we could have them battle, but I'm starting to expect this is a depiction of the films final battle given the characters and Dragon Looks like Shang Chi and Xialing both lack leg printing, though admittedly the image of Shang Chi on the side does not show much in terms of leg detail so can give that a pass at the moment Wenwu/The Mandarin gets leg printing, which is nice Wenwu/The Mandarin looks a little underwhelming, but blaming that on the movies design, hopefully he has a different design in the movie so the other set can include something better Death Dealer is a surprise, looks alright. Did not expect the Ten Rings to appear in such a form, kinda weird. 5 here and 5 in the other set I guess Can imagine this occuring either as a final battle or early in the movie so the Mandarin can acquire 5 rings from the ancient village right away and then the rest of the film can be Shang Chi trying to track down and stop him acquiring the other 5 rings Expectations for the other set: Shang Chi Variant Razor Fist Katy OR another supporting character Inclusion of the other 5 Rings
  24. I mean, they are adapting Carnage into a head/bust... I could potentially see 76191 18+ set being a Deadpool head/bust if they wanted. Though I'm still leaning more towards it being a head/bust for Venom or Spider-man.
