Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Scarilian replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
True, it'll probably be a similar level of room inside to the Milano and/or the Age Of Ultron Quinjet by the looks of the design - four bricks wide roughly around twelve bricks long with a dividing wall in the middle. I'd guess maybe enough for six or eight seats in the back along with the cockpit at the front if modded properly. I think the design is pretty good - the figures just weaken the set a bit. If the Quinjet features heavily in the movie and/or it gets a heavy discount i may get it - but i'm a bit hesitant as even my favourite of Quinjets (AoU) i have ended up dismantling over the years. -

76123 - Only aspect that appeals is Captain America's Helmet, which will be bricklinked instead as the build sucks and the Outriders i find to be the weakest of the drone/army building characters 76124 - Depending on the War Machine Buster's role in the movie i may end up getting this set, though chances are i will just bricklink the helmet pieces. 76125 - Build looks bland and repetitive, the three unique armors somewhat justify it. Igor looks a mess. This is the only set i may end up purchasing though definitely not at full price. 76126 - Interior of the build is taken up by hiding the massive stud shooter and the vehicle for Hawkeye. While the build otherwise looks interesting the figure selection sucks now that we are aware we are not getting the entire team in QRS/ATS (Missing Hulk). Chitauri have more detail but less printing than last time and are exclusive to this set so interest in army building them has faded. 76131 - The garage is the only aspect that is accurate to the Compound in the movie, even though it has been scaled down - a very easy pass featuring only two desirable characters for me: Thanos & Mark 85. The main flaws of this wave is the over abundance of Outriders and the reliance on the QRS/ATS which would be a cool collectable aspect IF we had Hulk wearing the QRS/ATS we have seen in concept art (Arm printing would have been nice also with the 'A' logo on the figures). The builds vary in quality but could be excused if the figure selection was better on most the sets. The only hope is that we gain an additional set with Ronin, Rescue, Captain America (Scale Suit), War Machine and potentially a few additional spoilery characters in the Summer. Probably going to have to resort to knock-off's to get the missing characters. A real shame that the wave had so much potential that was thrown away. Most the interior is taken up by hiding the stud shooter and Hawkeye's vehicle - i believe it has seats for three figures and room to stand Rocket and potentially sit another figure -

While true that it does not necessarily need to be tied to an event - it would be better if Marvel released a new trailer that includes Rescue before the Avengers Headquarters/Compound set is revealed and likely contains her figure. The other appearances of Rescue have been via leaks either via the actress taking selfies OR images of a toy that wont be released until later in the year - so this would be the first official appearance of Rescue. -

Mark 3 and Mark 4 share a lot of similarities for a similar reason - showboating. Out of universe, the idea is to have the most iconic designs which normally results in them going with variances of the traditional appearance for the suits we see the longest. Perhaps the Mark 51-84 were refining the technology with the Mark 85 being made specifically for a rematch with Thanos Hopefully we do not have to wait long for the set images. -

Igor has a silver and blue helmet Rescue has a gold and blue helmet Helmet we saw was gold and blue - so most likely belongs to Rescue. Lego may make errors on some sets, but i doubt they would mess up the colour of the face mask on Igor as that has plenty of official merchandise to draw inspiration from. Plus at the moment we have no idea what scale of brick-built figure Igor will actually be - one of the descriptions mentions putting a figure inside the cockpit so i would lean more towards the idea of something like the Hulkbuster/War Machine set with a printed piece OR perhaps a smaller Nexo Knights style mech. The earliest leak, the source, claims to have a job involved in the movie and that it is the Mark 85 - as such this is less speculation and more to be considered a 'leak'. Especially since the same source also leaked the images of the toys that gave us our first look at the full Rescue suit along with tons of other concept art from Infinity War and Endgame. I would lean towards Mark 85 being the official name. I understand the desire to want additional figures, yet the fact is we have three missing figures from the Headquarters/Compound set and we have three figures we know exist via seeing leaked images. All the remarks are reliant either on Lego messing up the numbering, or Marvel avoiding revealing the name of the suit. The second option is likely, but i doubt Lego would claim it is the Mark 50 if they did not have the name given they had this scenario with Infinity War and simply left it as 'Iron Man'. The lack of the name being revealed in merchandise is likely due to the following reason; -

Which will be Rescue, based on the leaked Helmet. Feels like we are going around in circles At this stage unless Nebula is in a polybag OR Mark 85 is actually mislabelled in the Armor Room set OR we get an additional set - then the line-up is pretty much the only one possible. Judging via the Amazon France site having the official images for two of the sets they could leak anytime now. Chances are as you said that we will see them before the middle of the month as they'll increase promotion leading up to release. -

For AoU we had the set numbers mixed around - depending on the original source of the piece count it is also possible a site could have incorrectly labelled a set. I think the 2 big figs would justify the price, but i cannot see the build (including vehicles) happening for 699 pieces. Avengers Tower had 3 floors and was 515 pieces, but a lot of that build was large windows in order to get the multiple floors. We should not be expecting a big building, that will just result in being disappointed. I'm even starting to wonder what the set is actually adapting the below picture as the remarks about a radar dish, if accurate, do not reflect with the design of the Compound we have seen so far. Though i do think the Tony Stark workshop being modular could allow for an attachment to the Compound. The descriptions are admittedly oddly structured so i can understand why people missed it the first time. It states five minifigures and then lists four and the head :P It would have made more sense for them to list the Outrider amongst the minifigures rather than mentioning it briefly at the top. -

Captain Marvel is confirmed to appear in the movie along with a few other characters, but we have nothing to confirm she is going to be included in the Endgame sets and was not mentioned as far as i am aware. I believe the descriptions is meant to be the following. "Together with Tony Stark, perform experiments by (on?) Outrider" "Five minifigures including Iron Man MK 1, Iron Man MK 5, Iron Man MK 41, Iron Man Mk 50 and face and hair elements by (of) Tony Stark" The specific mention of the inclusion of a Tony Stark head and hair is likely for the scenario of him using the armours to fight it/capture it - which in my view rules out the possibility of us getting a full Tony Stark minifigure in the set. Either it views the Outrider as the fifth figure or it labels the Tony Stark Head & Hair as a figure... either way it seems those are covered. I'm still heavily leaning towards the idea that the Headquarters/Compound Set has Thanos, Hulk, Mark 85, Nebula, Rescue, Outrider & Ant-Man Micro Fig. The line-up sounds exactly like what Lego would do, having Rescue as the main reason to get the set - accompanied with it being the only method to get the 'Mk85' suit. I also think the set has more pieces than the 699 we are led to believe, potentially the '6' was in the wrong place - as i could easily see the set described having either 996 pieces or 969 pieces. The two big figs are a factor but with a two story building, helicopter and off-road vehicle they need more pieces than what is mentioned. We already have the Mk1, Mk5, and Mk41 exclusive to the Iron Man Workshop/Armory set, we then had the addition of Igor - and if the Mk50 is actually the 'Mk85' then that would be effectively five new armours (four as minifigures) and an Outrider - which seems a bit extreme for what is effectively a $60 set that is already going to be highly desired anyway for the Mk1, Mk5 and Mk41. -

Compound has four figures - one is an outrider, so that leaves three. Unless labelling or a polybag exists, that means the three figures will be: Iron Man Mark 85 Rescue Nebula (Quantum Realm Suit) (76125) Ironman's Workshop - 5 minifigures + 1 brickbuilt Mk1, Mk5, Mk41, Mk50, Igor (Brick Built) & Outrider (76131) Avengers Headquarters - 2 big figs + 4 minifigures + Microfig Thanos, Hulk, Iron Man Mark 85, Rescue, Nebula (QRS), Outrider, Ant-Man Microfig (QRS) Unless labelling issue/polybag/additional set exists this is the only possible line-up for Avengers Headquarters. -

Merchandise of Rescue was spotted a while back which confirms that toy companies had knowledge and access to either concept art or the final design. The helmet leak was believed to be Rescue and with the toy leak recently below, chances are it is Rescue instead of IGOR. Rescue Suit Confirmed? -

The amount of pieces has to be incorrect for the Compound set, 699 pieces is way too low to fit every building/vehicle described. The three missing figures from the set are likely the Iron Man (Mk 85) we have seen, a repeat of Captain Marvel and the Nebula (QRS) we have seen. The lack of Ronin & Rescue would make me believe we will get an additional set or something - this cannot be the full wave with the absolute mess of so many of the figures being army building Outriders. Rather disappointed that the Chitauri are not featured in the Compound set or the Armor room set, forces you to bricklink them or buy the Quinjet. I think the only option they could do would be to take ideas from this custom. Though the description kind of makes it sound like a Hulkbuster style mech with a cockpit. At this stage the Armor Room sounds amazing, even if Igor is likely to be a disappointment. It's still five Iron Man suits and the Mk50 may be a variant or potentially a mislabelled Mk85 which could potentially free up the spot in the other set. If the build is great then this is going to be an easy set to bulk buy for a massive armor room display :P -

True, though i think it is not helped by the quality of merch dropping for the Avengers sets as opposed to the Spider-man sets where it seems to be getting consistently better. Spider-man is fully printed in his Homecoming, Civil War and Infinity War outfits and now we get torso and leg print on three of the revealed Far From Home characters. I'd hope the Red/Black suit is dual molded with arm printing also. I think it would be possible, as in theory they do not have many figures to focus on - just Spider-man, Nick Fury, Mysterio, Molten Man, Hydro-man, 'Electro'/Wind Elemental and Sandman. Maybe a side character or two, but with three sets they should really be able to deliver on these figures. -

Entirely certain they are telling lies to hide aspects of the movie. Put simply, this is it, the finale of the MCU's biggest storyline, a 'part 2' to a movie that already made over $2b. This should be where Lego goes all out, full printing on all the things and makes it an extremely memorable wave. This is the end of many of the characters we have been following for 10 years. Some may die, some may retire - but a lot of them are not coming back. Imagine if this is the last time we see Captain America and he only appears in the smallest set in a QRS/Advanced suit with us never getting the Scale suit This is very likely our last chance to get MCU based versions of specific characters. Some of the outfits/suits may get a release as variants in other sets similar to the Deep Sea armour or the Space armour - but we cannot really count on that as licensing in the MCU appears to prevent them going back and doing sets for other films. -

Speculating/Expecting the following at this point; 76123 $20 : 4 figures - Captain America (QRS), 3 x Outriders 76124 $35: 4 figures - War Machine, Ant-Man (QRS), 2 x Outriders 76125 $60: 5 figures - Tony Stark, Nebula (QRS), Mk1, Mk5, Mk41 76126 $80: 6 figures - Thor (QRS), Black Widow (QRS), Rocket (QRS), Hawkeye (QRS), 2 x Chitauri 76131 $100: 2 big figs, 5 figures, 1 Microfig - Thanos, Hulk, Mk85, Captain America, Rescue, Ronin, Captain Marvel, Microfig Ant-Man (QRS) Polybag: - Iron Man (QRS) Always the potential for an additional set later down the line, but personally think that will be our wave. The fault lies with Marvel for the QRS/Advanced Tech Suits being the concept art that they showed Lego. While the suits are likely featured in the movie and the idea of a unified team wearing the same suits sounds cool in principle, here it strips the figures of individuality and collectability. -

Higher resolution images of the instruction manual photos of the three leaked sets are out there. It's now clearer to see that the sides of the boxes have different members of the Avengers on there. The Chitauri Torso print is also slightly more visible, is unlikely to work with the older Chitauri printed legs (for those considering potentially using them) -

I doubt the late release as it would need to be justified by the set including something considered a massive spoiler; The armour room we know has three Iron Man armours, it is unlikely to include another in the form of Rescue (the only reason for a set to be delayed slightly) as a result. The compound i could potentially see getting a delayed release as it seems more likely to include Rescue and other aspects they may want to obscure, especially if it is a figure focused set. -
In regards to the Doctor Who set; The set had little appeal to fans. Doctor Who was declining in popularity and we'd had little time to grow accustomed to the new incarnation. Winning design was not the best choice out of the multiple Doctor Who submissions and won primarily for the figures - and the character selection which arguably should have included the fan favourite David Tennant chose to focus primarily on Capaldi. The figure selection for the Tardis set was a bit of an odd choice, Matt Smith's 11th Doctor wearing an outfit most popular 5 years prior to the release of the set. Meanwhile we have Peter Capaldi who had only a single season prior to release and Clara who was generally disliked by the Doctor Who fanbase. The Daleks were 'ok', but fans had made better versions of the Daleks prior. The Tardis segment was great, but the lack of being able to open the doors and have characters walk through was a major turn-off - every Doctor Who fan would want a character to walk through the doors and into the Tardis and the set did not include that as a possibility. The main appeal of the 'bigger on the inside' is lost when you cannot look through the doors to see the scale difference between the outside and inside. The console itself was 'ok' but nothing special Weeping Angels had lost all popularity before they were included in the set. In terms of the bad adaptation of the Flintstone set; Visuals are less appealing in regards to colour scheme and in regards to design Aspects of the asthetic have been removed for an incredibly smooth look - both in terms of design and printings Reduction of figures, meaning you'll likely never get a complete set of the Flitstones characters particularly the lack of the children and Dino The 'Welcome to Bedrock' sign is gone, which is arguably more iconic than a post box saying 'Flintstones' which the set stupidly changes to 'Flintstone' making it innacurate

Not enough gold and too much purple to pass for the movie version we have seen so far, perhaps he'll have a different suit in the movie - otherwise it's innacurate. Too much gold to pass for a comic version. Kind of works as a variant in regards to detail but the fishbowl which should be a circle, is instead an oval. The fishbowl normally makes the design feel complete, here it seems to be too tall/stretched and whatever they were attempting with the interior does not work. Kind of feels like Lego just google'd 'Mysterio MCU' and attempted to adapt this instead; Interest in the figure has decreased, though appreciate that they gave us leg printing on Mysterio. -

I dont think you have been following the movie's production closely enough if you think those are the only characters/variants that we'll be missing To put it bluntly, a lot of characters we are unaware of the extent of the roles in Endgame. We are aware of some scenarios that make it clear that they could include variants of characters from the past/future. -

It was originally shown via a set picture i think as far back as September 2018. They have tried to obscure or avoid showing it officially though. It definitely has a level of detail that has led people to speculate about it being the S.H.I.E.L.D logo (Personally leaning more towards S.W.O.R.D being established) We also had a remark about -

Stealth Suit Torso looks 'ok' - lack of SHIELD symbol is a disappointment but understandable given MCU's weird decision to try and hide it, despite flaunting that SHIELD was back and that Spider-man would be working with Nick Fury prior. I've no interest in it though, as it does not feel right with the colour scheme, even if it reflects the movie portrayal. The movie showing the suit only in darker scenes, as far as we are aware, may be the cause of my apathy towards this torso. -

I still hope either that we get a figure with the arm printing for the Quantum Realm Suits (A white arm with an Avengers logo) or that someone makes a custom of it. Would be nice having a fully printed squad, if the suits play a large role in the movie. -
The build of Hogwarts is nice from the exterior, the tower needed a bit more support as moving the set is difficult without it falling. The tree's are a pain as they fall off. I agree about the stickers though, the scale of the stickers and the style clashes with the architecture structure of the build and the size of the figures included in the set along with the tone and accuracy.

Regarding suit talk, always potential for a suit to be released via a polybag or something. Personally i think we will end up with the Black/Red suit (Plane/Mysterio set), Stealth Suit (Molten Man Set) and the Homecoming Spider-man with arm print and dual molded legs (Hydroman Set) Depends which version of the Sinister Six. We are still lacking the comic book inspired Electro from the original Sinister Six also, though the mysterious wind/electric character in Far From Home might provide that.
