  1. Potentially controversial opinion, but not a fan of the build. Part of the Sanctum is missing, an entire corner spire and side is just gone. The build should arguably be a lot more square than the rectangle we have. Buying a second set for pieces wont fix this because some of the Sand Green pieces are'nt reversible, so you'd have to bricklink pieces that may or may not currently exists to include the missing corner/side of the building. I get the playability appeal and that it can just be filled with fairly available pieces, but the bugle offered the ability to fix damaged sections while this one seemingly does not. They could have utilised more of the baseplate space, six studs of room is just an alley. I'd rather have seen the interior expanded six studs back in order to give more needed interior room. The entranceway as opposed to walking right through the main door onto the stairs, could have been moved backwards allowing enough room between the door and the stairs to display figures as per Infinity War Or Doctor Strange OR NWH when they were stood at the bottom of the stairs Having figures almost overlap themselves in the fight against Gargantos on the second floor looks cramped. Moving it back six studs allows them more space to pose including attacking from the sides rather than just straight on. Doctor Strange staring out the Sanctum Window cannot be replicated with the current design because of how the window is attached and the gap in the floor. A lot of the decorations suffer from being generic things, yes Doctor Strange had at least two chairs and a bookshelf and I do understand why they included them here, but it's really underwhelming when there's nothing particularly unique on display. Nearly half the figures suck, lacking detailing, printing, being poorly printed or just underwhelming compared to prior appearances. In general the primary problem with the set is spacing, allocation and use of internal space and decision to exclude the option of using space provided along with removing entire segments of the build that's necessary for the design. If someone got rid of the Alley, re-added the corner/side and allowed more room for the interior, it'd likely fix a lot of these issues and make the set a lot better - but that will likely have to be someone other than me because the downsides of this set are holding me back from considering it even if it's a better price per piece ratio than expected. 76210 D2C 499,99€ & 76215 Hulkbuster MKII 299,99€ No release information on either
  2. I'm not too sure why Drax has been missing for so long, admittedly though he did not really need a figure update, It would have just been a recycling of his GotG2 figure. The only time he has a different look is at the funeral scene in Endgame but that's possible to replicate and it's so brief that many would not notice. GotG3 is next year in May, either way. Adventure Calendars are mostly recycled figures with perhaps a new Christmas themed torso print. Cosmo would likely require a new piece or a new mould, the closest we can get so far is Scooby + Krypto. As such I doubt Cosmo will appear, however if he's featured prominantly in GotG3 then we could see him in those sets. I'd hope Guardians 3 gets more sets than the second film did...
  3. The face looks similar to the smiling Shuri face from the Dragon Flyer set - only if you removed the tribal detailing. I think it's Shuri with a new torso print and using Nakia's hair, which would make sense as she's expected to pick-up the legacy. It'd most likely be how she'd appear in the Black Panther 2 sets. I'd also lean to it being Shuri more than any other character as they tend to focus on the most important characters on the box and Shuri is expected to take up the mantle.
  4. Did not realise we had confirmation of release
  5. Sanctum releases in August. The leak we have of the Avatar set are product images, which is probably because they are going to be featured in an associated press release or released shortly after Lego Con, hence being uploaded to a retailer (In this case Walmart) The Sanctum could leak if it's product images are uploaded to retail/Lego Shop for pre-order OR finds its way from an associated press release - however Lego will probably want to keep a lot of these big reveals under wraps for the event otherwise nobody would tune in.
  6. The only way I could see a $500 Spider-man: NWH set ever working would be if the set was just the Statue Of Liberty in a style similar to the upcoming '10307: The Eiffel Tower'. In which the main focus of the set would be on giving people an accurate Statue of Liberty - but even then it'd make no sense to latch the Marvel license onto that. I think if we do eventually get a NWH wave, it'd be three sets along the lines of the following:
  7. At least we have three Marvel sets in 2023 that we can hope will be NWH Legacy sets... We have a max of five unknown sets, the mystery Hulkbuster MKII and the D2C. I just hope something delivers. The actor who plays Thunderbolt Ross is dead and had several rather damning allegations against him that make it incredibly unlikely they'd find a way to bring that character back. The name is used probably because that was the original intent, but him being dead will impact how they get the name and the stories they can tell. As with all Marvel adaptations, this is not going to be a 1-to-1 adaptation. The most likely members of the Thunderbolts, all of which have been members in the past: Zemo Yelena Ghost Goliath Taskmaster Hawkeye (Clint or Kate) Each of these characters have done villainous actions that are severe enough to label them as villains, but also either not their fault or sympathetic enough that we can look past that in terms of making these characters the audience will root for. Valentina seems to be used to set-up Dark Avengers of sorts, perhaps to adapt Siege. The only one she has 'recruited' so far is US Agent. I doubt Valentina's team is related to Thunderbolts. The proposed content for this year would have been fine, it's just the execution that suffers. A majority is overpriced, lacking in details or simply not what people would be hyped for. The Hulkbuster MKII for example barely had a role, did almost nothing and after the last one I think I'm one of the few giving it a chance. I think a better release schedule would have helped, but at the moment the only thing that is likely to celebrate the 10th anniversary as a whole is the D2C which many speculate to be Stark/Avengers Tower or an Icons collection. I'd hope they reveal something else, it just feels a bit lacklustre for the 10th anniversary so far.
  8. Really hope the Sanctum is not the only Marvel reveal, because with the price increase and underwhelming figure selection that feels cheap, it's not on my list to get. I would not be so sure.
  9. Normally for displaying suit line-up's I go for most significant in terms of appearances in media, visual appeal such as detailing or simply personal bias due to the suit just appealing to me more. You could arguably mix and match some elements of the suits. Honestly, you need a bigger display rack. We are hopefully going to wind up with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-man suits along with potential for Tom Holland's Spider-man Homemade suit via the animated Freshman Year series and we also have the NWH final swing suit. I'd generally lean towards movie suits: Homemade Homecoming Suit Stark Suit Stealth Suit Red/Black suit Black & Gold suit Integrated Suit NWH Ending Swing Suit Iron Spider What If Suit/CMF Tobey Suit Andrew Suit Which leaves a slot open for the eventual Venom Symbiote Suit. Honestly, most of these will probably wind up happening - but it's going to be a year or two. X-Men is getting an animated series in mid/late 2023, which we could easily see sets based on. We also have the X-Men presumably being introduced into the MCU in Phase 5 around 2023/2024 and Deadpool 3 might contribute. Odin will probably wind up appearing in a Thor legacy set at some stage. Fantastic Four we probably wont see until the live action film in 2024. Silver Surfer and Galactus we'd probably have to wait till they appear in the MCU movies. The least likely on your list is probably Living Laser, which I don't think we will wind up getting at all. I'd lean towards US Agent and Valentina being featured primarily in Captain America 4 - they could reveal Valentina as working for Leviathan which is a Russian terrorist group in the comics. So Captain America 4 would be a Russian manipulated US Agent VS someone trying to uphold the falling symbol of America in the form of Captain America. In terms of Thunderbolt characters, it'll probably wind up turning into that all-female movie they teased back when they were doing Endgame. Yelena, Ghost, Wasp, Taskmaster, Kate Bishop. Could see that being the line-up, probably initially facing off against Zemo before it's revealed that Valentina is manipulating them or something.
  10. It definitely feels a lot less hype than last years Infinity Saga wave, the combination of delays, price increases and unclear direction of the theme coupled with controversial choices seems to be the main factors. The Hulkbuster is what I am hyped for the most and we don't even know if it's releasing this year and the D2C could easily just wind up being an icons collection which would make it highly likely I and others would pass on it. 76210 500€ D2C Marvel UNKNOWN RELEASE 76215: Hulkbuster MK II 300€ (IW Hulkbuster D2C) UNKNOWN RELEASE 76220 4+ ($10/15€, 42/43 pcs) AUGUST 76222: (Unknown Marvel set, listed on Promobricks.de) UNKNOWN RELEASE 76224: (Unknown Marvel set, listed on Promobricks.de) UNKNOWN RELEASE 76225 ($25/30€, 238 pcs) SEPTEMBER 76226 ($25/30€, 258 pcs) SEPTEMBER 76230: ($25/30€, 297 pcs) SEPTEMBER I'd hope we should get more clarification on what is happening at Lego Con, but part of me expects them just to reveal the Sanctum and just that...
  11. 2018 Maw had a better design and it also had leg printing - his design simply does not work without it because he's wearing a long cloak style outfit. It's incredibly disappointing that they included him as he's wasted a new torso and head print that could have been spent elsewhere such as on a Defender Strange or Bruce Banner who is missing from the line-up.
  12. These figures suck - for how much people are paying they should be accurate and a lot more detailed. A lot of these feel like the absolute minimum effort required to make it look somewhat like the character.
  13. With how much the prices are increasing on these sets, it should really have leg print and arm print on every figure. Make the most of these 'expensive raw materials' that Lego is claiming as justification for the price rise.
  14. Instagram user by the name of itavix has done so in software form - you can check it out here. It also replaces some of the stickered section with greebling.
  15. IW Wong from the Sanctum has also leaked. Stonewars.de https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-preiserhoehung-september-2022/
  16. Full list of Marvel price increases in September 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum €219.99 to €249.99 14% 76193 Guardians Ship €149.99 to €159.99 7% 76191 Infinity Glove €79.99 to €89.99 13% 76187 Venom €59.99 to €69.99 17% 76208 The goat boat €49.99 to €59.99 20% 76206 Iron Man figure €39.99 to €44.99 13% 76213 [Wakanda Forever] €29.99 to €34.99 17% Guardians Ship, Infinity Glove, Venom, The Goat Boat and Iron Man figure are all available currently and have generally seen sales on places like Amazon. If you are interested in those sets, would advise aiming to get them before then. If Sanctum releases for its original price in August then would advise you get it then, obviously :p The Wakanda Forever set is seemingly not out until October, so you'll be stuck getting it for the higher price regardless. Oh, and goes to be said that none of these sets are worth the inflated price, many were barely worth the price they were initially charging for. I wonder how massive an impact this will have on the D2C and Hulkbuster MKII pricing... yikes. Depends what the pieces are - and it's probably a bunch of 1x1 circle stud pieces in grey.
  17. I could see the reasoning behind 3 expensive sets fairly close together if the D2C is an icons collection, as they would each target different desires from the community. The Sanctum is probably a mixture of a city style building exterior with playability aspects The Hulkbuster MKII being for display and posing The D2C, if an Icons Collection, would target the high-end market being entirely for display Optimus got pushed back from May to June - so perhaps similar happened to the Hulkbuster or other exclusives. I guess it is possible it got cancelled, but we've also barely heard anything about the D2C set and we generally believe that is still coming
  18. Nano Gauntlet is confirmed as an August set by Promobricks. We still have 76222 and 76224 to be revealed that could also be August sets along with the confirmed 76220 4+ set in August. Updated List: That's unfortunate, Hulkbuster MKII has me more hyped than the Sanctum due to the potential for Lego to handle a massive very detailed mech. If Sanctum is getting revealed then it likely means that we won't see the D2C or the Hulkbuster MKII until September at the earliest. If Sanctum is the focus of the Lego Con then my hopes of the D2C being Stark/Avengers Tower have lowered as it would probably wind up being an icons collection set released in September like the Harry Potter icons set last year. Hulkbuster MKII could probably wind up being October as otherwise that month is just Black Panther 2 sets. Bit disappointing that it looks like all the expensive sets are coming right at the tail end of the year though. If that's the case then chances are it'd bundle the Infinity Gauntlet and the Nano Gauntlet, given the release window. Unless it's a bundle of 76222, 76223 (Nano Gauntlet) and 76224 - depending on when the first and last release.
  19. NEWS TIME :P Instructions placeholders have been added for: 66711 Infinity Saga Collection 76223 (Believed to be the Nano Gauntlet) I'd lean towards these being reveals we will get at Lego Con. Updated List: Unsure if the Strange figure is legitimately from the Sanctum or not, but I doubt Lego will reveal all three of these expensive Marvel sets at Lego Con - it'd risk them being overshadowed by each other and the Sanctum we know is not due for release until August so it'd perhaps be too soon for a reveal even if figures or the set do leak prior. I'd place the reveal of the Sanctum in mid July. Hulkbuster MKII would need to be late June or in July for it's release, remembering Falcon's comments about expecting it to release before August. As such I think it has the most potential for a reveal at Lego Con as they'd be able to reveal it at the Lego Con, follow it up with a press release and release following shortly after. The D2C is still a mystery in regards to release date, but could work as a Lego Con reveal if it gets a July release.
  20. The last release of those two suits was in 2012, so chances are we'd see updates of them two if it is indeed Stark/Avengers Tower. True, though Whiplash MK1 is a lot more popular than the MK2. So if they intend to re-release/update the MK5 then that'd be the best way. If D2C gives us MK6 & MK7 then the only missing MK1-7 suit will be the MK4. It has limited screentime so probably in another 'armoury' set OR a set with the MK2 OR a polybag with a printed donut box :p It fluctuates, but I believe 2019 is when we got the most prior. 2019 gave us at least 5 Iron Man versions, MK1, MK5, MK41, MK50, MK85 and this is not counting War Machine, Time Heist, Rescue and the Brick-Built MK38. 2022 so far has at least 4 Iron Man versions, MK3, MK25, MK50, MK85 and this is not counting War Machine, Whiplash or the random version used for the mech. The Hulkbuster MKII probably has Bruce Banner as the figure, the D2C would likely include one or two new suits depending what it's based on and the unclear nature of the other 5/6 sets we know of makes it a bit difficult to judge if we could get another figure
  21. I could honestly see them delivering on the MK2-MK7 in this style this year, even if some would probably just be repeats with the new helmet and/or minor updates. MK3 is already released in the new style thanks to the armoury MK2 & MK4 could be included in a set adapting the Iron Man Vs Rhodey scene. It makes sense to give us both in the same set as this is the only time we get to see them in a fight/action MK5 seems likely to adapt this scene from Iron Man 2, Whiplash MK2 makes it likely a seperate set will happen adapting the MK5 Iron Man Vs the MK1 Whiplash MK6 & MK7 from this scene in Avengers, adapted into the D2C (If it's Avengers/Stark Tower) We'd only need two new sets and it'd make sense if they made the new helmet/visor combo because they intend to do so many Iron Man suits this year. Maybe the Hulkbuster MKII can randomly include a slightly updated MK1 as a tribute to the evolution of the suits going from one he built in a cave with a box of scraps to this massive build. Even without the potential for other unconfirmed figures, we are getting the new helmet/visor combo used for War Machine MK1, Iron Man MK3, Iron Man MK25, presumably Iron Man MK50 (Sanctum) and Iron Man MK85. So it's a start, I'd just like to see a bit more usage this year. True, but they charged nearly double what the set is worth, having a new print might have helped justify the set more.
  22. CGI helmet for Thor kinda explains why we did not get it on the figure. Teaser was better than the trailer. Not really sure what else they would have made sets based on. True, though altering the design clashes with the original heavily so display would not look nice. I feel this makes it more frustrating Lego did not bother just having a slight alteration to the MK3 torso and/or legs and release it as the MK4. Would have helped sell the set more and would have required only a small bit of effort.
  23. I'd like to see a lot of the more unique and interesting designs also, I just feel that it's been a decade now and we should have really had the core suits that were the focus of the movie represented. The Phase 1 suits are the MK1-MK7 and we should really have had Phase 1 covered by the 10th anniversary of the Phase 1 team-up movie. In 2023 we have Iron Heart & Armor Wars that will likely have suits to be adapted. We have little chance of catching up in terms of suits unless they deliver this year on Iron Man suits. Though admittedly it could draw more attention to the idea of Iron Man style suits which may birth more legacy sets
  24. I get what they were going for, printing on a fairly flat surface is cheaper than molding into a specific shape for the original mask and they wanted to transfer the 'open visor' gimmick because they felt that would make people more open to the printed visors. For me though: Printed helmets have less depth and detailing than the original helmet, is flat and lacking. Too large, head look stretched, goofy and detracts from the 'open visor' appearance also. Pointed connection points break and now they've put those on the visor as opposed to the helmet :( Lego needs to show obvious commitment to giving us all the suits as soon as possible to justify this change (Even though the helmet/visor will still be the worst). The MK2-7 need to be in this style this year especially, it's insulting that we still don't have the MK4 considering how little changes would need to be done to the MK3. The June wave at the moment is incredibly underwhelming. Just two sets seemingly and we have an incredibly overpriced armory that delivers primarily repeated figures and a controversial change in design - and we have a Groot figure that's about 5 years too late and looks like it's going to kill you while you sleep I pray the Hulkbuster MKII, Sanctum and the D2C really deliver.
  25. Promobricks had/has it listed as Marvel, with the same price and piece count. I'd guess it was a case of them adding it to the wrong section. Could mean other mystery sets they have labelled are DC sets instead. Updated List:
