  1. Stonewars.de had it listed as one of the Marvel sets for 2022 Stonewars.de also has the original release dates for most the planned 2022 sets, so the original intent seems like it would have given us something every month other than February - which is presumably when the mechs would have originally released. As of now, the next confirmed set releases we have are in April being the mechs, however chances are the D2C IW Hulkbuster could be a March set like the previous Hulkbuster and the Helicarrier. We could always get sets that are not currently known I guess.
  2. It depends when the catalogs were released also, as the most up-to-date would in theory have the accurate release. Personally I'd dismiss 'March' as a release for Thor 4 sets, that feels like the original release date. I'd lean more towards May than April, as April is now packed with the mechs - perhaps the original plan was moving it to April and then they pushed it back another month when the mechs had to be delayed. Ideal scenario: 120€ (NWH set? with the FFH polybag as a gift with purchase) and the 250€ IW Hulkbuster releasing in March Mechs releasing in April Thor 4 sets + Thor's Hammer 18+ set in May $500€ Stark/Avengers Tower set, IW accessory pack, legacy wave split over June/July Spider-man Legacy sets in July (ready for the anniversary on August 1st) Black Panther 2 and comic-inspired Spider-man sets (Electro with mask perhaps) in August Marvel Minifigure Series 2 September
  3. The Infinity Gauntlet was 69.99€. In terms of pricing, for a build that's around 1.5x the size, I can see that happening. Especially with Lego hiking up the prices of some sets. It'd also make sense from a playability mindset to release Thor's Hammer prior to Love & Thunder. The Hammer itself could work as a legacy set also I would not hope for it either, but it seems like it'd be a logical choice and fit with when we first heard reports of a potential Thor's Hammer 18+ set. Unless you know otherwise? :P I'd switch out Jane Foster's Thor, cannot see us getting her in a cheaper set personally. Smaller set would probably be Thor, Korg, Meik and Sif. The inclusion of Meik allows them to have four 'figures' in a cheap set, you can switch out Sif for Starlord depending on who has a larger role. Larger set would be something like Gorr, Thor (Variant outfit), Jane Foster's Thor and Valkyrie
  4. Summary so far: APRIL 1st 76202: Wolverine Mech Armor 76203: Iron Man Mech Armor 76204: Black Panther Mech Armor 76219 (Ant-Man $19.99 / 20€ 298 pieces) MAY 1st 76207 (Love and Thunder; 20€, 159 pcs) 76208 (Love and Thunder; 50€, 564 pcs) AUGUST 1st 76211 (Wakanda Forever; 50€, 355 pcs) 76212 (Wakanda Forever; 10€, 58 pcs) 76213 (Wakanda Forever; 30€, 355 pcs) 76214 (Wakanda Forever; 80€) UNKNOWN 76215 (Hulkbuster D2C; 250€) - Possible March release like prior 76105 or 76042 ?: The Infinity Saga Accessory Set (15€) 30443: Spider-man Bridge Battle Polybag 76210 (500€ D2C) - Unclear if Marvel or DC Thor's Hammer I would not be surprised if 76209 is 'Thor's Hammer' which would allow people to buy the hammer before the original planned release of Thor: Love & Thunder which was May 6th 2022 before the recent delays - it would also fit with the numbering of the other Thor sets. Edit: 76209 (120€) has now been revealed as DC :( In general the day people celebrate the anniversary of Spider-man is the 1st August, regardless of if this date is actually correct in regards to the release of Amazing Fantasy #15. As such it makes the most sense for Lego to release any Spider-man legacy sets between June 1st and August 1st. As for the NWH set, the movie is expected to get a digital/physical release around March so to capitalise on the movie's release they could have the NWH set release in March. Personally I feel we might not get the NWH set until June though as the D2C Hulkbuster will likely be a 1HY release, probably March.
  5. Seem's like Falcon is on a similar wave length to me regarding what potential Tobey sets would be. I must admit I'm trying to keep my expectations tempered, if they do a remake of 4856 I'm probably going to go crazy on it, it's one of my favourite concepts and I'd love to see Lego go all out on it nowadays. Hope everyone is saving up because it could be an expensive year - and we're not even sure if we are getting a Legacy Wave in Summer or not
  6. If we get a D2C in 2022, other than the IW Hulkbuster, then chances are it'll be Avengers Tower. I could see it being comic inspired though. That way they can include Ant-Man if the set is a potential comic figure with mech. Original team was Iron Man, Ant-Man, Hulk, Thor and Wasp...
  7. Not sure how viable that is. It may get delayed to February 2023 so unsure what will happen with the sets
  8. I feel any Tobey sets, if we get them, would be a way to cover characters or villains that the NWH set does not. Even at a basic level if we get a remake of 4851 for instance: Green Goblin with his mask (No Glider, that would only be in the NWH set) Norman Osborn face without goggles (NWH set he'd have the goggles on) Something like that would encourage people to get the Tobey set even if they have not seen the Tobey films, sort of a cross promotion aspect. If you want Green Goblin as he appeared on the bridge or in the Raimi series then you need both the NWH and Tobey set to get both his Mask and Glider, if you want to replicate scenes of Norman without his goggles such as the scene at F.E.A.S.T. or the appartment then you need both the NWH set which has his final battle outfit and the Tobey set with his non-goggle face. This adds another reason to ensure the sets sell well even if they are based on movies from nearing 20 years ago. I'd imagine if we get Tobey sets they would be remakes of 4851 which has Green Goblin and Mary Jane along with either 4855 or 4857 which include Doc Ock and a supporting character either Harry Osborn or J.J.Jameson. Even if you trimmed the supporting characters, these sets are generally the more iconic moments of the franchise on a smaller scale. 4856 is also possible because In theory it is the only time you could get away with having Doc Ock looking somewhat like the bridge scene while also serving as a remake of a prior set, granted he wears a different outfit but it's close enough.
  9. I could see one honestly winding up as a comic-inspired Electro set where we get the Star mask.
  10. CMF would probably be based on the Disney+ characters from Hawkeye (Hawkeye, Kate Bishop), Moon Knight (Moon Knight, Midnight Man), She-Hulk (She-Hulk, Bruce Banner), Ms.Marvel (Ms.Marvel, Red Dagger) and Secret Invasion (Nick Fury, Talos). You'd probably have the Ronin outfit if that is not included in the Infinity Saga accessory pack. Characters like Agatha, Echo, Yelena, etc... would still be unlikely due to potential future appearances that have been implied or confirmed to star in their own Disney+ stuff down the line. I'd guess the big set would be the Statue Of Liberty with Sandman, Electro, Lizard and final battle Green Goblin. If the other two small sets are not NWH based then best options would be homemade suit Spider-man Vs Shocker from Homecoming and Andrew's Spider-man Vs Rhino from TASM2. If they are doing Tobey Spider-man sets, then the most obvious choices would be remakes: 4851 origin of the Green Goblin/Spider-man. This allows them to release Green Goblin (as he briefly appears at the Bridge Battle) without having that design in the NWH sets. 4855 Train Rescue/Battle. This allows them to release Doc Ock outside of the NWH sets and it'd be the only way to get Doc Ock as he would not appear in the big NWH set. It'd be unlikely we get Spider-man 3 or TASM1 inspired sets due to licensing agreements that meant other companies adapted sets based off those films. It's unclear if they can retroactively go back and revisit those films now - but I'd generally guess that Sandman and Lizard would be included in a NWH inspired set to avoid any issues rather than having a direct revisit to Spider-man 3 or TASM1. If all of the above is done then, considering the NWH inspired sets from this year might still be on shelves, you'd have film versions of; Green Goblin (Raimi style), Doc Ock (Raimi Style), Sandman, Lizard, Electro (NWH Style), Rhino, Shocker, Vulture and Mysterio all on shelves at the same time - which would be perfect to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Spider-man in 2022. The only ones missing would be TASM2's Green Goblin and Spider-man 3's New Goblin & Venom. I really wish they would do a remake of the Doc Ock Hideout now, that Fusion Reactor design is pretty awesome and I'd love to see this broken down dock done in a higher budget with the pieces available today. I do not see a single reason why it would not happen. I'm not suggesting this be a replication of the climax of that scene as that would obviously be something Lego strays away from, but instead the initial part where they are doing lab experiments with the villains in the appartment itself. The glider does appear at the climax of the scene, but that could be included to imply 'Green Goblin is undercover' or something. The collapsing wall feature would be something independent of the events in the film, other than potentially when Peter gets slammed through the wall/floors. They can easily use the same design they used in 76108 where the windows would fall out or the floor would collapse downwards.
  11. If we wind up getting two sets: Appartment Attack: 4 Figures Tom (Peter Parker outfit), Aunt May, Doc Ock, Green Goblin Build: Living Room, Lab Area with a screen showing Doc Ock's Inhibitor Chip, Collapsing Wall, Hidden 'Green Goblin' Mask, Green Goblin Glider Including Aunt May seems like something necessary for any potential second wave of NWH sets. Having this set be mid-transition for the Green Goblin could allow for them to include aspects of both his previous and ending battle appearance, such as giving us his 'final battle' appearance yet including the hood he wore during the appartment scene and a dual face print (One side normal, the other 'Smiling creepily') without the goggles he has during the final battle. I feel this would be the best method of picking and choosing from his three designs during the film. If needed this set could also include J.J.Jameson and a Daily Bugle Van to help sell it, but I think the inclusion of Ock and Goblin would be enough. Statue Of Liberty Battle: 6 Figures + 1 Brick-built Tom (Integrated Suit),Tobey, Andrew, Ned, Electro, Lizard Builds: Statue Of Liberty upper segment with Shield, Brick-Built Sandman, Portal Rounding out the primary supporting cast we have Ned in the line-up as he plays a fairly large role in the Final Battle and in the inclusion of Tobey and Andrew. One of the main aspects missing from the Endgame sets was a portal, including one here would make sense as it'd allow for fans to recreate moments of the portal hijinks. Replicating the main shot of all three Spider-men VS Electro, Sandman and Lizard is the primary focus of the set as this is based on the battle that occured at night time. Tom's Spider-man would re-use the integrated suit from the Sanctum. Lizard would have torso print and his tail but no leg or arm print while his head would be a similar style to Korg, Electro would have torso and arm print with dual molded legs, no mask though, the main focus on the figures would be on Tobey and Andrew who would get full print. Sandman would be only his upper half and he'd be partially built-into the build itself, he'd be about the same size as Giant Man. I'm not sure we'll get a $500 set, but if we do, chances are it'll be Avengers Tower or a remake of the Helicarrier as those are the most iconic aspects of the MCU. They would be unlikely to adapt something else comic inspired so quickly after the Daily Bugle set, they'd likely use that as a test to see the viability of Marvel Comic inspired D2C's and then release another comic inspired D2C set in 2023. Personally I'd hope for Stark/Avengers Tower. You can include Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye, Loki, Chitauri, Agent Coulson, Pepper Potts and if they give options to modify it for its Avengers AoU appearance then you could probably throw in Ultron, Iron Legion Drones, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, etc... and it'd be a perfect set as NWH seems to imply that the Avengers Tower was not brought by Oscorp, which means it was likely brought by the Fantastic Four instead and will become the MCU's Baxter Building. So if we got a D2C of it now, we could modify that to be for whoever the new owner is when that's revealed (If desired)
  12. We are apparently getting an 'Infinity Saga' Avengers Infinity War version of the Hulkbuster, which would make the most sense to be a 1HY set probably in March/April given how early we heard details on it. In terms of other legacy sets, we've got an accessory set that is believed to be releasing in 1HY also, though it's unclear what it will be based on. Arguably like most people I feel this would probably have characters like Scale Cap and Ronin, because they are highly anticipated. In general I'd expect any continuation of the legacy wave to be in 2HY, as originally we would have had Doctor Strange 2, Thor 4 and Black Panther 2 sets all in 1HY. I'd hope it'd be a 10th anniversary style wave, probably akin to the Harry Potter sets with golden versions of the main characters and varying legacy builds - maybe even another D2C or large build.
  13. The web cage could probably be used for MOC's, hopefully it comes cheap in black eventually so we could replicate the Venom fight location from Spider-man 3. The web claws also in a better colour would be nice. Rhino is probably the only figure that appeals to me, nice to have a comic accurate version, even if he's not an original Sinister Six member. It also means if we get comic Electro this year (or at least the star mask) then we can complete the original comic accurate Sinister Six and the 'Me and the boys' meme as a bonus. I think the best 4+ set concept we have is 76184: Spider-Man vs. Mysterio’s Drone Attack. We get a basic car build, a basic drone build - but we end up getting a figure people desperately wanted (FFH Suit), an alternative of a previous figure (Mysterio) and a figure that used to be in more expensive sets (Nick Fury). I'd prefer Lego take that approach, where the figures can appeal to kids and older fans - otherwise they generally shift the demographic focus of the sets entirely to a younger audience. The show itself is targetted at those 'Pre-kindergarten' according to Disney which is defined is those aged below 5. Lego is releasing a set advertised as 4+ so if people followed these guidelines, Lego are targetting only those aged 4...
  14. Seeing as we are getting another D2C Hulkbuster this year, wonder if we'll wind up with another D2C Helicarrier. I could easily see us getting an updated Helicarrier at some point. I'd hope it is Avengers/Stark Tower, as long as it can be modded to look like it did in 2012's Avengers it'll be good enough for me... please not a comic inspired version.
  15. I really hope it's Avengers Tower... I'd like it for a display piece for all the MCU figures I have. Guessing the Hulkbuster in March and the $500 in 2HY
  16. Doctor Strange 2 set in theory is pretty good, but not really interested in it as it's just another tentacled monster and I'm getting the vibe it's a minor threat as opposed to a main threat. I'm guessing no second set or Wanda because they just had her in the CMF series and they don't really need to re-release her if the design is the same. I suppose it allows me to save for the D2C or Summer Wave though
  17. They tend to get more concept art for the movies than they do the shows due to the nature of marketting which generally means we get more accurate figures. It's all well and good getting hyped over us seeing a character, but unless that character is going to be important going forward then the appeal of a potential figure is generally tied to the design of the figure and the context of the figures inclusion in the material. In specifics for Hawkeye: Hawkeye is mostly dressed similar to his prior figures or in casual clothing, if he gets a more iconic outfit it's likely later in the series and chances are that'd be easier releasing in a Disney+ minifigure series or accessory pack Kate Bishop will certainly show up in a movie or team-up series eventually which would make more sense than releasing her now when her character is less well known Echo is getting her own series, so we have potential for her later and it'd make more sense releasing her as a figure when she's the star of a show Lucky you can use this piece that was released this year in two sets Honestly if you were doing a set for Hawkeye, right now, then you'd probably just release a figure of the Ronin costume which is likely going to wind up adapted in a Legacy set in 2022 if that subtheme continues, so Lego is missing nothing by not making a Hawkeye series set.
  18. I'd rather not have sets for the Disney+ series at this point. Sure we have one or two characters that might be of interest at the moment, but they won't do those characters justice working with concept art and no idea what the context of the shows are. Later Disney+ series seem to be even more focused on characters that many will have decreased interest in and we have plenty of opportunities to revisit the characters in movies or otherwise IF they become liked among the audience via Legacy sets. I'd rather see them deliver on the main series, revisit some of the films they missed OR be adventurous with builds and give us something unique.
  19. Make a stand that displays the set at a 45 degree angle, that way you don't need to alter any of the Statue Of Liberty build - though you'd probably want to ensure the build can handle being displayed at a 45 degree angle... perhaps make some of the scaffolding around it as support also.
  20. I'd hope for two sets: Final Battle ($100?) Top segment of Statue Of Liberty featuring scaffolding and Shield, Brick-built Sandman is the main build though, Green Goblin can attach to the building with a clear piece for display with Glider 7 Figures + 1 Brick Built Figure Watts Spider-man, Raimi Spider-man, Webb Spider-man, Ned, Electro, Lizard, Goblin (No Mask, Purple Scarf), Sandman (Brick Built) Bridge Battle ($20) Car build and Green Goblin Glider, 4+ set perhaps 3 Figures Doc Ock, Goblin (Masked, Green), Iron Spider Suit You missed 76214, but the list is appreciated 10781: Spider-man Techno Truck $9.99 10782: Hulk & Rhino's Truck Duel $19.99 10783: Spider-man at Doc Ock's Labratory $29.99 10784: Spider-man Webquarters $49.99 76202: Wolverine Mech $9.99 76203: Iron Man Mech $9.99 76204: Black Panther Mech $9.99 76205: Dr. Strange itMoM $29.99 76206: 'Buildable Iron Man Mk43' $39.99 76207: Thor: Love and Thunder $19.99 76208: Thor: Love and Thunder $49.99 76209: ??? $100.00 76210: Hulkbuster $200.00 76211: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever $49.99 76212: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever $9.99 76213: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever $29.99 76214: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever $79.99 76219: ??? $19.99 Interestingly enough this leaves us with a $100 set and a $19.99 set... :3
  21. So the January wave sucks so far At least it gives time to save up for any potential NWH Wave 2 sets and the Hulkbuster D2C depending on the quality of that, hopefully the $100 mystery set is NWH also. All the Black Panther stuff is definitely getting delayed, movie might not even release in 2022 it seems. I hope we get some some awesome legacy sets.
  22. True, if we could just get confirmation the sets exist that would be something
  23. Hopefully they do the Goblin Helmet justice, the previous versions from way back were 'fine' but they never seemed to get the eyes right and did nothing with the teeth.
  24. Probably March as the previous MCU inspired D2C's both released in March - would also make sense given we are getting info on this set now.
  25. The idea of a modular building for Marvel was likely considered a 'risk' which is why they went with something Spider-man focused. If sales are good for that, then chances are we'll see another comic inspired modular Marvel building by late 2023/2024 as a response. I'm still expecting a D2C of Stark Tower/Avengers Tower to be the next modular building we do get though, they could have justified that as part of the 10th anniversary of Avengers and release it in Summer 2022 or early 2023 if we are very lucky. That's the only chance we have in my view of getting another Marvel modular building D2C anytime soon.
