Awesome thank you.

Are those the akro mills drawers? I see several people have issue when ordering the stack on ones and them arriving broken, just wondering if the akro mills would be any better.

I'd say my wife is pretty neutral for the most part. Once in a blue moon she will want to build something. I love building but do it rarely simply because I have very limited space, I've got a small shelf to display, enough room for VW Bus, the new creator surfside bus and a couple mini figures. However we have agreed that when we buy a house(currently renting), I can have a room for my toys. In the mean time I will continue to buy the sets I like and stack them in the closet, under the bed, or wherever else I can squeeze them.

I've got to use some points by the end of the year and I'm considering putting them towards the Bus, or the Beetle. I really like the bus but I'm not crazy about the red. I'm curious if anyone knows if there is list of color options I could swap out. Or if going to brickset to see if the color I'd like is available in all the pieces. I'm wanting to replace the red with lime green or a shade of blue. So my options are buy the bus and bricklink the color pieces i want to change(I probably have a good portion of them). Or buy the beetle and then bricklink the entire bus( of which I currently have about half or a little more of the pieces in my bricklink store) So what would you do if you were in my shoes.

I'm looking to build my first city and here's what I'm thinking. I'm looking for input as to if it makes since to do what I want to do or the scale of the various builds would be way off ( scale a little off is ok). I'm wanting to do a small island/beach town using both current sets and mocs with a layout something similar to listed below. Houses along the beach both moc and something like the seaside house and friends beach house. I really like the modulars so I'm thinking a block inland to do something like the brick bank, assembly square, detectives office, and maybe a couple more, mainly going for like the historic downtown feel. Across the street from the beach I'm thinking mocs like sea food restaurant, dive shop, bike shop, tackle shop, fish market, and similar. A small marina with various boats and coupe sea planes. Small first responders units, police, fire, medic, coast guard. Maybe an airport for like 2 planes, cargo and passenger Most cars in town will be smaller version of the large vw bus, vw bug, mini cooper, maybe some speed champions, and mocs I also really like the Maersk line of sets, so I was thinking maybe using the train to represent goods coming into the town and a ship yard with the container type ships to represent goods coming in from the sea. I also really like the pirate ships like black seas barracuda, black pearl and others. So I'm thinking have one or two docked and turn it into a pirate museum, and using some of the pirate fort sets as like a mini pirate amusement park attraction. Anyway that should give you and idea of the direction I'd like to go. This build will most likely take a long time, especially since I have almost zero display space but will be moving and would be setting it up once we move. I know projects like this are truly never ending so I figure why wait to start. So what do you think, am I on the right track? Does it seem like to much? How off would the scale of the various sets be? I appreciate your time and input, thank you.

Mini Cooper Mark I

This has always been one of my favorite builds. The Mini has been one of my all time favorite cars since purchasing a 1987 while living in Germany. -

I was just curious if there is a source for rebuilding sets with different color combos. I'd like to make the Mini Cooper and the VW Bus but maybe in a different color. I know I can go there and search each piece I would need to replace to see if I can use that color but I just wasn't sure if something like this already existed weather it be a parts list or a list with the set and alternate color options.

How long does a bricklink order usually take?
murtaughf3 replied to Brikkyy13's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I can't speak for other sellers but I try to invoice with 24-48 hours and then ship within 24 hours of payment. If he's using paypal to print your shipping label you should be notified it was shipped when he prints the label via a paypal email I think. I'm referring to the order showing pending. The statue in Bricklink has be changed manually so it's possible he shipped it but forgot to update bricklink. Hope that makes sense. -
Mine was the Black Seas Barracuda oh so many years ago. It was my first and only Pirate set. Now I'm considering getting back into this theme.

I've always loved the technic sets and have been purchasing and stock piling some of the sets, now it's time to build. I'm currently in the process of building 42029, a set I've wanted for a long time. I'm wanting to modify this set, got a few ideas just not exactly sure which direction I'll be going. With that said and being new to building technic. I'm wondering if it would be better to build it and then modify it a little at a time keeping the base model in tact and replacing and modifying accordingly. Or would be it best just to modify from the beginning? For those that modify lots of sets and build lots of mods what do yo think my best course of action would be ? Either direction I decide to go I'll mostly be only changing the color, truck bed, and maybe a few other areas. The vast majority of the frame will remain stock.

I know this is an older thread but this is awesome. I just ordered this set from bricklink with the intent of modifying it to look like the tan suv version you have post pics us. You did an amazing job. Haven't watched the video's yet due to time but I'm book marking this page so I can go back. Once again awesome work.

Picked up 2 Ghost ships for $25 each then an Ezra's Speeder Bike, and the ship (phantom I think), that attaches to the Ghost.

Any of the blues and lime green lately, I'm sure that'll change one day.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, like some have mentioned I'm using bricklink to organize my wanted list. Each project has it's own list, but and I select the #1 project and fill my cart with what I want to spend and if I don't reach the $ amount I want to spend then I just go to all the lists and keep adding until I reach that amount. I've also got all the set in different bins labeled so once building time comes along they will already all be sorted.

I currently have one project/set started that I'll be bricklinking and getting parts from my own bricklink inventory to save on cost. But I'm curious how many projects going on at one time is to many. There are several projects/sets I want to complete. With that is mind I'm considering working on 3-5 projects/sets at a time at. At the same time I'll be concentrating on 1 but still ordering pieces for the others to help saving on shipping cost. So how many projects do you work on at one time? I should also add that the projects I'm working on rather large in size and most consist of at least a thousand pieces, mostly Star Wars and Technic sets. Thank you in advance.
