  1. As a general note - for convenience sake - I would encourage those with late additions to the builds (which is fine for the AMRCA) to still submit an AMRCA form before the deadline, so we know the moment we start discussing which adventures we have going on.
  2. The one wearing Blue is holding the gun, it has to be Bloody Bill!
  3. Yeah no worries. PM me where to apply your +2 crew BOBS card ;)
  4. Unless its non specific to a ship they are currently automatic.
  5. Thats correct! We’ll soon (tm) have an automated System for it.
  6. ...I knew we had forgotten something. New BOBS cards! Small rule change: No builds or pictures required. @Kai NRG Workout! Fleeing from pirates is the destiny of the crew of Dark Spirit. Is there a better workout then the fear of losing your precious lives? Or even worse - your gold! Maneuvre +1 Non transferable, locked to Dark Spirit @MKJoshA Pirate King! The rumours about your victory over the WTC Judgement have quickly traveled all over the brick seas! You can’t save yourself from dozens of new, unexperienced crewmembers! +2 crew Can be applied to one of your black flag ships @Dukesc Change of pace After spending untold months on convoy duty most sailors aboard the HMS Tiddlywinks could navigate the trade routes without even a compass to guide them. But these months of repetitive and dull sailing often result in lazy crews, inattentive lookouts, and worst of all sailors who don't know their roll in a battle. Speed: +1 Maneuver: +1 Guns: -1 To be applied to the HMS Tiddlywinks
  7. You should have access to your factions ship stats - if you don't have access to those (leaders should've sent those through a PM at some point) ask them. If you expect them not to reply in time, PM me a list of the ships you need the stats for and I'll get back to you as soon as I can
  8. I'm gonna see if I can take pictures while we are working on it ;) The ship you see there was only a prototype anyways, don't worry ;)

  10. Great to see another vessel (I think there are 2 or 3 other vessels inspired by it around here already) inspired by the Batavia around here (I visited it last year with a couple of others from here)! Looking good too, nice colour scheme, though it could be a little longer If you want help during WIP for your next vessel, feel free to join us in the Shipwrights Guild Hall
  11. If you capture a vessel its ownership gets transferred to you. If you are not one of those entities that can hold unmocced vessels (playerfactions up to 3 class 5, NPCs several) unmocced vessels need a MOC as well; this can be updated through the ship license form. You can look up your stats in your factions ship summary. If you are really unhappy with a vessels stats you can add a small MOC showing some change to the vessels stats (for example unloading some guns to get space for cargo).
  12. Great work on that bow of that vessel! Can‘t disagree that flextubes take a while to shape, but not hours! My recent testship I posted in the Shipwrights Guild Hall only took about 20 minutes to get the bow to look right :D ... I need to find my minotaur head, that figurehead is too excellent to not steal :D Looking forward for the whole thing!
  13. I've been playing a bit with prefabs again as I'll be showing those in my local LUG how to build ships ...I need more golden hands and flex tubes... @Mesabi little from me today, but the guns at the front would either be on a swivel or mounted on either side of the bowsprit, not right above it - this way the cannonballs would likely hit the rigging, which would likely be problematic for the whole vessel...
  14. @Mesabi Getting there! Can you try shaping the sides up a bit? Right now only the center has a tumblehome; if you can't angle the parts at the bow and stern, you can also try moving the angled part out a bit to get a wider central part of the vessel (would also make the stern more balanced with the whole vessel). If you need an example I can see about it tomorrow
  15. Looking great so far @Bodi! Really good idea with the red insides - surprisingly simple solution too, I might give that a try too. The stern has a really nice shape too, especially the balcony. I'm not quite sure I like the window arrangement of the galleries yet, the upper level was usually smaller then the lower one - perhaps only go with a single window on the upper level?
  16. Looking good! I think the old glue soaked cloth (or just along the cuts) as suggested in this old guide works really well. I recently got some sails made with that technique (the sails from Captain Green Hairs original frigate) which worked well even after recycling: Also don't remind me - I need a new Xebec for my fleet... @Mesabi Bregir and others have already said lots of things, and I'm only gonna add to them. Ahead of time a Sorry about taking your ship apart - but you've been improving recently and I would be glad if we can see more of that happening. First - the bow. You see yourselves that something seems off, but you really want to use those 6 shooters (which is, while not exactly realistic, completely fine - larger vessels sometimes had chase guns in that area too). You can still work with your detailing around it - like Captain Green Hair did on his Ship of the Line: given that the guns shoot in an arc, it could be reasoned that there are chasers behind those doors - and the bow would still be plentifully decorated. Sebeus I's Flying Dutchman is another example: (obviously with non-undead decorations, but I think you should see what I mean) Just some ideas how you can go about decorating the bow without it looking odd like it is now. You could also go with a different shape of forecastle - if you go with a galleon style vessel (which would make the extra elaborate stern very reasonable) you could go with something like this for the bow like on my galleon: where you have guns instead of the doors. Plenty of options to make the bow fancy while keeping the guns! Talking about the stern - lets have a look at a couple sterns for vessels from different times: While they are different, they still have one thing in common - the back side is pretty much "flat"beyond stuff that is stuck onto it (galleries, balconies). It isn't half of an octagon which you have now. The very back part is also angled backwards - this gives some extra interior space and also accentuates the shape of the vessel. If it is in any was possible I would try making it a bit wider then the part right before it but still not as wide as the widest part of the hull if possible (if the hull is 20 studs wide at its widest, 18-19 studs is fine for the stern. If the hull is 18 studs wide, 17 or even 18 should still work). The round window could look good if you implement it well Bregir suggested using slopes for the tumblehome - I think thats probably the best simple technique for it. Just look at @Capt Wolfs Galleons - somewhat simple but really effective vessels:
  17. I've taken care of that.
  18. A large Frigate has been added to the Eslandolan fleet: La Comete
  19. OOC: PM me once licensed, I remember that these are also upkeep free and I need to manually enter that. Great small ship I do feel like that there could be another spar at the top of the masts - the tops seem a little empty right now
  20. Looked great in Wetteren (2 months ago, but still relevant)!
  21. Well thats a perfect description I think the largest SOTL worth considering would be an Ocean class: I think eventually I'll also build a first rate, but I think it'll be a couple years until that starts, and I'll probably pick an older vessel.
  22. And then there are the british who planned (but cancelled) the Duke of Kent - a 5 deck, 170 gun warship.
  23. I meant the link to the ship itself, you don't have to share your factions ship details with everyone I think @Captain Genaro has given out results if something messed up somewhere afterwards, I suppose we can do that here too once we figure it out.
  24. I've been looking around (even through the edit history) and couldn't find any mention of the vessel. Can you link to it? I doubt anyone from Leadership would remove a vessel without informing the player first.
