emm. not, unfortunately. 42€ was a bit too much for this otherwise boring set. Still, I like your Dewback a lot, honestly! Just need to get all these green parts together... Keep up the good work!

Nice MOC, but the wave was unnecessary. It's like Cloney said, WTC is alright but with an approaching passenger yet or smoke coming out of the building? And it's not even about being Japanese or US. Having lived in Tokyo, having friends there, now working for a Japanese Company, I am not offended, neither want to speak for someone else. But seriously, when I saw the wave, I thought it's too much.

Take care - hope you have fun working for Lego!

Last year, at least in Germany, it was a 2-day-promotion, in the stores and the s@h. I had the understanding it was all over Europe, but I might be wrong. TC-14 would be lovely, could use a silver droid very well... I wonder, though, what sets will be on offer? Should not be 2012 sets, so I believe it's the Falcon, Rep Frigate or the Death Star.

Thanks for re-posting the video! The model doesn't look too bad, but I don't like the idea the antenna is not included. Would have loved to see that. Well, and the inclusion of the small R2.. I seriously don't get that. I am a very understanding person, but I have to say that this is the most boring and strange marketing / design idea I've ever encountered. It's just plain silly. Still, nice set, but I cannot see myself spending 200€ on this.

There should hopefully be some time left before it leaves, I hope.. About the head with printed eyes, I assume this is to use it for either mask or hair, no? Don't have a picture at hand, sorry.. Thanks for the review! I have to admit I kind of like the small Batwing a lot, it's cute! I have the old one, still resting in it's box but I am considering exchanging it with the new one (plus some bucks for another set). Still, checking the price now, its $35, but over here €40 - which is almost $55. Now that's a little too much they are asking for..

Excuse me if I am not too familiar with the super heroes, I kind of like the truck and helicopter, for $20 I wouldn't hesitate getting one of these, but not for the european price which is probably going to be $40. I don't care too much about the figures though, still, an Iron man or Wolverine is nice to have! The jet is also pretty cool, I have to admit. Would like to see this in real, not only on a picture, since I assume it's a really cool set. (Many sets are really cool these days and the box shot doesn't do them justice. The Ninjago sail ship for example, seriously - great set in real, boring on picture)

Love your review, Siegfried! Reminds me a lot of when I was there.

Hi all, I tend to play video games in the evening. Solid, cheap, clean fun. Push power on, switch off, go to bed. I work long hours and this works for me. I like Lego more, for some reason, and I have a nice, small collection of SW, Indy, Minifigs and some other stuff. I like TLCs themes, but they are not what I would like to create, display or "play" with. Right now I would be interested in having a WW2 inspired, post-apocalyptic military theme with soldiers, femme fatales and steampowered mechs. AT-ST meets Indiana Jones, perhaps. I admire people who MOC just what their imagination says, as I seriously have neither the patience, money, time or creativity. I make small things up in my mind but would like to actually create. TLCs themes only come close of what I would like to see, but it's so much easier to stick to the themes and make a few small creations going along with them or a few amendments, than actually starting from the scratch. I am also too much of a perfectionist to dismantle things and randomly start MOCing, when I know it doesn't look as brilliant as stuff others create. Also having not exactly all the bricks and colours I would like to have is a huge problem. So I stick to TLCs themes (what becomes more and more difficult now that Indy is gone) and video games.. but in my head there are fantastic stories about my post-apoc platoon. Anyone else has this?

Sounds funny to everyone who was collecting Stormies before the BPs....

I didn't vote, simply cause I would have gone for a third option: Indiana Jones. The fact it's a licence doesn't count a reason not to have it as one of the 3 adventure-themes. I remember someone complained once that the scenes didn't connect too will in the Indy theme, but I thought that's the strong point of it. It had the best vehicles for exploration, lovely temples with amazing traps, and simply awesome overall tone, colours, setting. Plus, it had different factions, and the sets with Germans (desert) and Russians (jungle) seriously had this adventure / exploration element perfected, while the Egyptians and Indians added to the native setting (just a Hovito missing, cough... ). Why not have the Chinese race against the Jones faction in his army truck for an important treasure in a trap-covered temple? It was simply amazing to put together your own adventure, nothing ever comes close to this theme in my book. JT, I loved it but it became obsolete when Indy was out. Also, the vehicles were sometimes too unrealistic and the builds too simple. Still, 2 factions, nice characters, the Egypt and snow settings were amazing. JR is an ok series. If you leave away the mutant scorpion and snakes (seriously, TLC, we are flooded with this: Vikings, Castle, Harry Potter, Aqua Raiders...) and improve the few vehicles, add a base camp, add another faction... there you go. As you can see, too many things missing that make a good adventure theme. Still, it's a shame this has to end. It could have evolved in a nice way, let them go to the south pole or somewhere..!

.. and this wiki states he wasn't made as a Kenner figure, being only a very few of the OT not getting the treatment. And now TLC makes one - I think this is nice move!

Would love to have this!

Zzz replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I am sorry, no offense, I appreciate that you make a review - but your pics are of such horrible quality that I wonder how can you be satisfied with these and upload them? -
Sorry, I remember there was something with the capes. I didn't have too much time this year and this just flew by. Let's stick to the necks, then!

Alex, could you take a look at the box you have around, what countries are listed as manufacturing places? It should be in the small print somewhere. Since I don't see any obvious China-parts (correct me if I am wrong) we might have a clue there.. Btw, great review, great pics, great flickr of yours! Was a pleasure to browse through it! Keep on the good work! (Edit: spell)

Space - the final issue

Will get this only for the new rebel, since I have enough Stormies, Scouties, Speeder Bikes and Endor Rebels. For €16,99 I'm in no hurry, honestly. The 2010 Rebel BP was far better, with an interesting vehicle and three new figs! And I don't even want to start comparing this to the Indy Cairo BP. Thanks for the review and the crystal clear pics, that's what I wanted!

It seems like a nice theme and i seriously wonder if they gonna provide a story line (Ninjago has a very strong story line, Power Miners didn't have one at all), since I am always interested in their marketing decisions. So far I had a different understanding of a ghost train and I found their idea pretty funny. Still, I cannot say anything to the quality of the sets, too early I think, but I am afraid for the werewolf set I'd prefer this one:

It's always a pleasure to dive into this forum. I usually think I am already such a nerd to know some things about SW but here I feel like the mainstream-wannabe. Funny. The OR sets look really sweet, too bad the game isn't coming out for PS3. Such a shame, honestly. The CW sets are a little boring, the skiff is OK and it's funny how it should work together with the palace, figure-wise. The palace itself is nice and a lovely display piece, but I am not sure about the tower. Modding time this shouts out for me.. Still, looks like a nice set and I have to say, I didn't expect any Rancor pit, that thing would have been the size of the Death Star. And the price. Wouldn't like that.

Wow, thanks a lot, YangHao6998 (and if someone else gets credits, thank you too!) I have to admit that I am a little disappointed by the weathertop, I know where they were going but it's a little different in my opinion. I would have prefered it to have it rather flat, but what you see is what you can mod, as usual! Lots of figures though, like that!
-
Love that art from the press release! Hope that's gonna be on the box but I am afraid real live is the way now for TLC, what makes sense from marketing point of view, but I personnaly liked the first cartoony SW box art a lot! I am not sure if I'll be much interested in the huge sets, since it's mainly playsets and I prefer vehicles, but I am very curious about how this will turn out. I think TLC proofed that they can create great looking buildings and playsets. While PoP was the unloved peak in their creation skills, I have to admit that PotC sets were a bit of a lackluster. Still, I can see them turning this license into something beautiful! As a fan of all books and the first movie (didn't like the other 2 too much), I have to say I am very happy for 2012. Looks like a good year!

Thanks, guys! I was aware it was diffferent, but I never thought that much.. @Thea - no worries, I actually wanted to know how the difference between photo / real thing is, so your answer was still needed! I am also planing to have the interior redone on mine, but didn't have the time to even build it so far. Everything always takes me ages.... Luckily I don't see anything I have to mod on the TIE next year and have already very specific ideas about the X and Y, but that's another story.

Still have mine sealed, and I am a bit shocked now, are the cockpit cones really that un-white in person, or is it due to your camera / flash / whatever ? Please let me know..

Lobot is missing from the list, so is this a Winter 2012 list? You should rename it, then, just to avoid future confusion, since we surely get another bunch of figs, incl Lobot, in the 2nd half of 2012!
