(2015) May The 4th Be With You Offers - Discussion thread!
Jacob_9821 replied to Lobot's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Either the AT-AT or Star Destroyer. -
Weren't those confirmed to just be the Episode VII line? I'm pleasantly surprised with Jango, better than I expected. The Sand blue was really key if they wanted to pull him off correctly.
-
If you want to talk about your dream sets, please keep it in the Future Star Wars sets topic, it doesn't belong here.

This is a strange choice. A Lars homestead and a Sandcrawler, I wish that was how the real set was! Y'know, it would be interesting if all UCS sets had smaller counterparts of their larger versions and would be used in LEGO stores to sell more of the larger set. Sort of like a year round promo. Say you buy the UCS Sandcrawler, you'll get a mini Slave I with a black Bespin Guard. So if you get the Slave I, you have a more complete scene. It sounds good on paper but I doubt it would work. Sorry about going off topic like that, I just had to get it out.

It isn't a Episode VII torso, at least it wasn't made exclusively for Episode VII. It's been used since 2012, first appearing in the Droid Escape set. EDIT: It appears I have been mistaken.

As for characters it appears we are getting 4. Watto, Qui Gon Jinn, young Anakin and the big baddie himself, Darth Maul. Apparently pictures have been shared but we are not allowed to share it, haven't seen it myself though. Would have personally enjoyed a Padme figure instead of Anakin as in order to (somewhat) complete your characters you're going to need to get the Naboo Starfighter for Obi-wan. Still missing Jar Jar and Captain Pancakes, but they're in relatively cheap sets. Edit: Took out R2 because of updated information

Surprisingly, I got Lewa. I was thinking I would get Gali or Pohatu.

Boba will be a great parts pack, we've never gotten sand green shells before! At least, I assume they'll use that color. You know, the one thing I don't care for about these figures, at least from the two we've seen, is the lack of gear functions. Would've been great for Lightsaber duels in my opinion. Guess they're going more for accuracy rather than play.

We got one in 2007, another in 2011, and this rumored one in 2015. Seems pretty consistent to me.
-
Sir von Lego, could you PM or post a picture? It would be greatly appreciated!

I'm still hoping and waiting for a land based set on Yavin IV. They have designed models of it beforehand, but never released they. I'm also hoping for a remake of Yoda's hut, possibly the next time we get an OT X-Wing that'll be included in the set.

I think he meant that you would be able to purchase, say 5, masks for the same price as a normal Toa. Rather than having to pay the price of a Toa for a single, albeit collectable, mask. However, I still get your point. It's just that I personally think it's going to be a retailer exclusive set instead.

Nope. Half the sets in 2008 were Clone Wars related. Exactly 11 out of 22, mini-sets included. However, in 2009 it was the strong majority. I think the main reason we aren't seeing loads of sets from Rebels is simply Episode VII. This ends up being a good and bad thing. That means we'll see a bit more of an equal representation of all parts of the universe. In the sense that this winter was mostly Rebels with some AOTC, then early Summer is for the ROTJ and PM, and then for the late summer we get Episode VII. However, sets like the Naboo Starfighter and the rumored Sith Infiltrator are both sets we've had beforehand, which we got fairly recently. Yet, maybe the Rebels sets don't sell as much as a Naboo Starfighter or an Imperial Shuttle. Whatever the case, it's a disappointing turn of events for this wonderful series.

I think we'ld all love a new UCS Falcon, but how many people would actually purchase a $500 set? Not trying to gp to off topic, but if you want to continue it do it in the Future Star Wars sets topic. If those prices are true, I'll probably still be picking them all up! Except the Falcon, unless the build differs significantly from the previous one (or if it's the only way to get Han or Chewie, or both).

I don't see why the lack of new Microfighters at Toy Fair is a huge surprise. The Winter wave sets from the next year, which is the standard release for Microfighters, are never shown off.
-
That was posted a while back. And no, they're not 2015 minifigures. Those are all from 2014 and back.
-
That's the same number as the rumored Echo Base. Seems odd that legozebra, who posted the confidential set list, would be wrong about that. As so far, the list has been accurate. Not saying you're necessarily wrong about the new set, it's simply that there's contradictory information regarding the set numbers. If it is true, honestly it isn't too entirely surprising, we need a Darth Maul for the new Episode I line. We'll probably also see a Padme and Qui-Gon Jinn. Maybe this'll be the set that we finally get a Shmi Skywalker? One could hope.

Nuremburg didn't allow people to take pictures of the Star Wars sets. And London didn't allow any pictures. However, on the bright side, the New York fair is starting very soon.
-
This. Completely agree. Some characters like Han would look really nice to have the design continue onto the side of the leg. Couldn't say why it hasn't happened as of yet, I'm sure most people would love it. They've already started printing the arms on some, Boba Fett and the Wookies from the Gunship. I wouldn't be surprised to see it in Episode VII sets or sometime next year.
-
My mistake then. It's just been such a long time since that set was on store shelf's. It also appears that you can break the stairs as indicated by a small gray ball joint piece right of the second step.
-
That was for Yoda, not Luke. At least according to the Star Wars set Encyclopedia from 2010.
-
Thanks for the link! I'll probably update one of my newer Threepio's with those legs, possibly the one from my Ewok Village. I actually really like the new antlers on Artoo. While they're fairly simple this time around I do like them a lot more than I originally thought I would. It's nice to see the return of the red bag, it's my favorite out of all the (2?) colors.
-
Just a thought, but knowing LEGO they'll want to get as many people to buy this large action figures as possible. So, maybe we'll get a minifigure along with the larger figure? I wouldn't put it pass them to do it, but they didn't do it with Ben 10 or Superheros.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Jacob_9821 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hmm... I'm not sure... It's how one would expect LEGO to do it, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing. Of course brick building it would make it lose stability. I'll leave final judgement after seeing the designer video. If I was into Marvel I'ld add tiles to it and cover up the studs. Dunno why it bothers me here but not on the Sandcrawler.. -
Considering I love orange, it's pretty nice to get those modified plate pieces in said colour. I like use of all the trans-black pieces, it really gives it a classy look in my opinion. It also appears that the guy with the maroon hat has a new version of a previous head print, or it may be the same one. Referring to this one, http://www.brickset.com/parts/design-46506
