LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 Rumors and Discussion
Cagast replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
A series about Lego? Like, Lego staff. Key people and designers involved in history of Lego, turned into minifigures, and with some new Lego related accesorries for each to make up for lack of variety and exciting minifigure prints and headpieces. I think this would be boring to say at least, and unlikely to happen, but I really have no other ideas... -

I was between Fisherman (yes, it's a good looking minifigure!) and Knight. But went with Knight, he's one of my favorites.

Nothing is confirmed, but there are rumors about second Batman series. In case Series 19 doesn't happen, and I have a feeling it won't and we'll get Ninjago 2, Disney 2 or some other licensed series, then we won't have a classic series next year at all. But then again, this is just me guessing. -
Ozil's face is terrible and inaccurate, Elf isn't a special fantasy figure to me (just now I see how similar it is to LoTR elves), the only good thing about Tribal Woman is the baby. So I wnet with Santa Claus. Great bag piece, great hat, just overall well designed minifig.

The funny thing is that even calling him a highway-individual might be incorrect, because if the theory about different versions/designs is correct, there are many different highwaypeo... I mean, highwayorganisms, in the series.- 1,421 replies

So next year there won't be any regular classic series at all? Disappointing. To me, this can be either a total failure, or something that will bring loads of interesting prints and pieces. Depends on what the "theme" is. Also it's worth mentioning that Itaria said: "It may be considered historic, but in a way nobody expects." - National series? We have the French guy in S17, maybe its a sign. There's still lots of nation-specific minifigures they can make, enough to make a 16-fig series. - Music series? Minifigs would be based on famous singers/musicians, even if they don't use real names, and that can be considered "historic" 'with a twist'. This could work for other areas like sports, but musicians come to my mind first. - Costume series? I know this one doesn't fit any rumors, but 16 suit guys at once would be amazing. Good idea. Although I think they would have to go further than 70-80s, due to some iconic characters. Johnny Thunder, Vladek, Oleg, Rock Raiders? -

Or does he? Highwayman might be a gimmick, a limited fig like Mr Gold. (I hope not).- 1,421 replies

Yes that's definitely a cape, also looks like he has a shoulder piece and a bandana. Not sure how they will stuff all that in one place, but it looks like that for now.- 1,421 replies

He's male. Or else Itaria would not call him Highwayman in his list. Plus this, from his hints:- 1,421 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Well then, if TLBM is getting another series, maybe its same for the Ninjago movie as well? That would be disappointing. I'm still hoping for S18 and S19. -

Exactly. I can't believe nobody mentioned this before. Also why is nobody putting all this samurai speculation in spoilers? Now people will know the samurai won't be revealed this season, which is still a spoiler. But it's too late now I guess.- 4,591 replies

What about another football series? For world cup in Russia 2018? -
Obvious fake! The box art is poor, and the set image is obviously a rendered shot from LDD.

Okay those are interesting theories about the Highwayman, but... why? What's the point of having different variations of the highwayman in various colors? Highwayman is a bit too specific type of minifigure to be a gimmick like Mr. Gold. I might be wrong, but I don't know, it sounds odd. Also, yes, Yuppie's look is definitely supposed to be Don Johnson aka James Crockett. The battle dwarf is from Warhammer. I think the Retro Spaceman is also made after some character, he looks familiar.- 1,421 replies

Whoa. The Rocket Suit boy, aside from being a kid, looks exactly the way I imagined it, even to little details such as little knobs and the space flag. But eh, it was not that hard to guess that, probably. Dance Instructor looks pretty great, surprisingly, especially the hair. It appears that Hot Dog Vendor has white and red checkered pants, and that'll be very useful to me. Another surfer....that's needless...just, why? Yuppie's cellphone is great, that's probably the best use of walkie talkie piece so far. Now, a question for @Itaria No Shintaku: now that the game is over, can you tell us what language were the hints? Italian, Romanian, or something else?- 1,421 replies

Well, he doesn't need to be called the "brown ninja".

Yes, this was my point actually.

The scene from the trailer when LLoyd fights shark people with a fridge instantly reminded me of this Rumble in the Bronx scene with Jackie Chan. Since Jackie Chan and his stunt team filmed fighting for the movie, I think we can expect lots of references to Jackie Chan's famous films.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Cagast replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Yes, I know you got that, I was just pointing out the irony. ...Not true. The only reason why the trailer for Ninjago movie is getting so much positive reception is because the Lego cinematic universe is an already established series, and both movies have a distinct sense of humor and animation which is liked by majority of people and critics whether they are hardcore lego fans or not lego fans at all. Seeing the same humor style, exciting and unique animation, and that special "lego feeling" with everything being built from lego pieces (well, almost everything, but I won't nitpick now, you get the point), people instantly like Ninjago. Now imagine all these people seeing an episode from the tv show. It lacks literally all that.- 4,591 replies

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Cagast replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Oh god, no. Live action Ninjago would be so silly and cheesy. Just think about it. Try to visualize an army of goofy skeletons attacking spinning colorful ninjas... riding giant dragons, in a city... that would be worse than live action Power Rangers (the tv show). Which is quite ironic, as the case is completely opposite with the movie. The movie would get extremely negative attention, or even worse, very little to no attention at all, if it wasn't Lego.- 4,591 replies

Why would we not get it? Judging from the trailer, every ninja has their own big vehicle, so why would they make exceptions? -

"Female Elf" in Italian is "Elfo Femmina" which fits with the 'EF' from the letter hint list, as well as the army builder description, because it's not a holiday elf. Female elf confirmed?- 1,421 replies
