  1. The Y-Wing is one of my fav SW ships and you have definitely done a great job! Love the yellow piping and the overall build!
  2. That's what I did as well. Replaced with LBG 30602 too. Here are some of my replacements: 1. 42445 - replaced with 99784 2. 48729a - replaced with 48729b 3. 98100 - replaced with 98100pb05 (same cockpit as the Series 1 Microfighter MF - 75030) 4. 43337 - replaced with 30413 5. 3048c - replaced with 15571 6. 4599a - replaced with 4599b 7. 75535 - replaced with 62462
  3. Waiting for all my bricks to fly across the ocean to SE Asia... That would take a while!
  4. @Midlife-Crisis: I totally agree with you with regards to the old LG 4x3 wedges. Expensive is an understatement and for me, I needed 12 left and 12 right. OUCH. Love to see the progression of your engines as it is very informative too. Cheers!
  5. Yes, I agree as well! Oh, and I vote for blue too. :)
  6. Thanks for the comment, All in the Reflexes! It is through the inspiration from you guys that made me decide to jump in and do this! Sourcing LG/DG bricks was one challenge but trying out you guys' designs, whilst putting my spin on it really caused me a headache! I had to try and build them in whatever colours I could get my hands on before deciding if that was the design that I wanted before ordering those parts! NOT a LDD fan too!
  7. I am trying to minimise the cost and checking if my current stores have it and if it is worth the trouble to find a new BL store just for these. Shipping to Asia is not cheap too. :(
  8. Hi Midlife-crisis! Was following your thread closely and I love the how you tackled the engines of the 10030. Like you, I also felt that the 10030's rear engines were a let-down as compared to the rest of the build. After seeing Took9 & All in the Reflexes take on the rear, I decided to go ahead and try my hands at them too. After sourcing for old LG bricks (as I wanted the colours to match, as well as to only use elements that were only available during that period), I managed to come out with something. Okay, I cheated a bit by using some LBG 1x2 clips but they are hardly seen. So here goes: Huge credits have to go to Took9, All in the Reflexes and yourself, Midlife-crisis!
  9. Mortesv, May I please check where do the minifig barbell (91049) fit in this model? I am looking through the manual and for the life of me, I can't seem to find it! And if it is an important piece or I can just swap out with a 1x1 round tile instead? Much thanks! ***DON'T WORRY! FOUND IT AFTER I POSTED THIS QUESTION!***
  10. I went out and ordered a 8x16 plate (90498) to be used as a plaque, just waiting for Cjd to come out with a plaque design. Or you can google and there is a plaque sticker of the Nebulon but was done by another creator (LDiEgo). What I did was to remove the black handle from the LBG base and replace it with a grey piece from another lever. Doesn't matter what colour is the base of the lever, as long as the lever is in grey. Easy swap! :)
  11. Much thanks Mortesv!
  12. Is it possible to replace the 2/3 finger hinges (4275 & 4276) with 44301 & 44302? Will definitely lower the cost by a bit. TIA!
  13. Holy... That is one HUGE Venator! Can't wait to see the completed version!
  14. Oh my first question! If I were to change the 1x16 technic bricks (3703) to black or some other colour so as to lower the cost, will they be visible?
  15. Much thanks Cjd223! Too excited! :)
  16. Hey Cjd223, would you be kind enough to make the plaque sticker that we can print out and paste them on a 8x16 plate (90498)? You have the specs of the Frigate on the first couple of pages but it would be great if we can get the plaque, like those UCS sets. Cheers!
  17. Absolutely lovely! Especially BB8 who is the "right" size when compared to R2D2!
  18. Trying to catch my wallet this time... haha!
  19. *Starts running around the room jumping with joy/fear!!!*
  20. Well, I live in sunny Singapore where the price of Lego is high and there aren't many BL stores locally, so I have to source from far-away countries like the US and Europe to get them bricks! From my experience building Anio's Venator and other MOCs, my cost, after adding exchange rates & shipping, per brick price, regardless if it is new or used, averages out to be around US$0.35/brick. So if I were to use this cost and multiply by an estimated 6,000 piece set of the Nebulon, I would be looking at roughly US$2,100!!! Having a small collection of loose bricks doesn't help me too. But of course, this is my situation and doesn't apply to a majority of the forumers here, who are mostly Europe/US based, and not like me, who is located in Asia. I agree about the wide range of different elements in this build! That's why it looks so beautiful!
  21. Thanks Jamie but I don't think I will survive and post what happens if I did that. From the number of pieces of this MOC, I can roughly guestimate my cost would be in the S$3k region...
  22. I cannot imagine how am I going to hide the expenditure needed to build this monster of a build from the wifey!!
  23. It's a brilliant MOC! I am starting to build my 2nd one so that I can do that scene that was dropped from the film! :)
  24. Looks really menacing!!
  25. This is epic! Always wanted to see a Harrower in brick form! Is it roughly the same length as the 10030 ISD but wider?
