Lovely! This was exactly the same as what I went through when I was replacing the blue bricks on my UCS 7181 TIE Interceptor so that it matches my UCS 10175 TIE Advanced! :) I decided to use LBG bricks instead of DBG bricks because the DBG bricks do not really match up with the older grey bricks.

I just went to check out the description and I do apologise, it is MIXED with original lego bricks. So it is not all clone. Sorry for going OT!

I have also encountered a seller with a bricklinked 10179 going for US$600. Only caveat... it is all done with clone bricks.

Found a nice 2nd hand 10030 ISD, waiting for it to arrive.

Love the mods of the 10134, Regimus! Makes me want to revisit my set to see how to make it more movie-accurate, just like yours!

You can custom-build a coffee/display table for the 10179. It definitely deserve a place of its own! :)

And you start to realise that it is quite a big set, even before you start on the mandibles! :)

When the photos first came out, I was struck by how "boring" it is... just a big mess of LBG/DBG bricks. But when you posted the photo of the shuttle with the opened wings and the mods that you have done, it started to rub off on me and it is now "calling" me to get it! :)

Oh the build journey is going to be a whole lot of fun! I spent about 2 weeks, 1-2hrs per day, slowly building the MF and it is a joy. :)

Saw a MISB 10134 sitting on a shelf in a toy store with a price tag of US$1,420. No wonder it has been there for the past 6 months and collecting dust.

I built this a few months ago as I managed to get a good price for a brand new set, even though the seal was broken. Great set with lots of greebling! But before I managed to get this set, I was toying with the idea of BL-ing it and I thought of the following: 1. 30183 - LBG Inverted 6x4 slope (change to either DBG or white) 2. 30236 - Dark Brown brick with handle (change to white/yellow/DBG/LBG) 3. 78c02 - White Ribbed Hose (change to 78c11 and cut to size) 4. 4592c02 - LBG Levers (you can get a combination of LBG lever stalks with different colour bases, and LBG bases with different colour stalks and combined the 2 togther) 5. 6019 - Tan clips (change to LBG/DBG) 6. 2412 - Grille tiles (change to LBG/DBG) As for the 32077 (white wheel) & 30083 (white dome), I guess the cheapest alternative is to spray them white.... Maybe we can count the number of owners that are here on Eurobricks? :) It is such a popular set but from where I am living, the cost does put a "brick" on actually doing it! :P

Now this ranks as possibily the best MOC AT-ST I have seen! Sweet!

It would be perfect to have this ship displayed on a mirrored base so that you can get to view the underside of the ship and appreciate the hanger as well!

At least it is going for US$1.00++ on certain BL stores now, cheaper than when I was ordering them a couple of months ago.

Yup, there isn't much that I can think of improving my Venator, though I find that the 2 largest engines do droop slightly so I am thinking of seeing how to realign it so that it runs straight instead. And yes, the Invisible Hand does look small, compared to the Venator! But I also cannot imagine the cost of the dark blue 2x4 inverted slopes, if it was sized to the Venator!!

So what happened to your neck? Just joking! Nice completed Venator. Noticed that you modded the engine a bit with 2x4 wedge plates and i like the modifications that you have done to replace the magnets and the colour change of the side hanger doors! One side is black and the other side is red, right? PS: The Invisible Hand is a smaller and more straight forward build! Too bad it isn't the same size as the Venator though. Expensive bricks are the dark blue 2x4 inverted slopes!

Congrats on this purchase! I was also looking at this one but I have been spending way too much this month so had to give this a miss!
