REVIEW 41033 Jungle Falls Rescue
Clone 01354 Productions replied to Redhead1982's topic in LEGO Town
Wow, incredible review! I don't usually read anything about the Friends line (I only clicked here because I saw it was a new topic), but this review was wonderfully organized and thorough. And the pictures.... I'm sort of embarrassed to say it, but I kind of want the set now! Those new vine pieces and all the tropical flowers would actually be useful. Well, that and the fact that you made the set sound so great!- 4 replies

Wait, the GWP will be available in March in the US? Well then..... Yeah, the new masks are great! I mainly love the vertical slit-mouths; it makes them look alien, unique, and menacing.- 16,226 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Clone 01354 Productions replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Even if they did include a minifig, it's still not the same to me. I love LEGO Star Wars, and I love BIONICLE. But I do not want them to mix! Minifigs are great because they're....well, miniature figures: They're small, so it's easy for me to take photos of them, make stop-motion, etc. Having a larger-scale version would throw all of that out the window, and also, they'll probably have many glaring inaccuracies. With minifigs, it's easy to print the piece to make it look like the character (in an odd way), but when made with constraction pieces, they'll have to use many pre-exiting parts that do not look as accurate. What we will be getting is a Hero Factory character with a special head mold! I mean, seriously: think back to those Super Hero constractions. Honestly, did Batman look like Batman? Not really....he looked like a robot, with a special head slapped on. I might buy the Grievous one, only because he IS a robot, so it would be easy to pull it off. Everything else.....And really, who says, "Wow, Luke Skywalker looks cool!" No, they say "Woah, that X-wing looks really cool! And wow, they also included Luke as a secondary feature of the set!" It's a real shame. Every year since my LEGO Star Wars collecting began has had me buying most of the sets, but it seems like I'll skip most this year. I mean, I'll definitely buy the T-16, Tyderium, and Final Duel, and the TFA sets, but all of the winter wave, and honestly most of the summer wave, seems so.....lackluster. Hopefully, the TFA sets are great! -

This will definitely be a great wave...... 1) Grinder is incredible, and pulls off the evil look very well. His mask is deliciously sinister. 2) Ekimu looks better than I thought before (but he'll always wear the MOCR once I display him...). 3) Basher is probably my favorite of the smaller sets, and I can't wait to see his function! And that mask.... 4) Warrior, to me, pulls off the skeletal look the best, and his bow is a pretty neat weapon. The trans-red is a shame, though. 5) I am in LOVE with Scorpion; his function looks great, and I love his color scheme. 6) Slicer is the terrible. There, I said it. But I do understand why he looks so sparse: if he has two gearboxes (I assume so), that would increase piece count by quite a bit....probably why he has a Skull Spider mask too: the budget for the set went to the gears. Overall, I'm going for a complete collection, so I'll get them all. The characters are all unique, they have a design we've never seen in BIONICLE (rotting skeletons), and overall they just look really great (except Slicer. But some armor can fix that.....) Also, I apologize, Grima. I really thought it was a Hau.- 16,226 replies

Thanks Kamen Rider Kiva! Looking at the chest print, I agree with your theory: it looks very much like LOSS, and it would be a neat way to bring him back. Also, in Episode 9, Pohatu looks at a pedestal, which appears to be missing a mask.....was that where the MOCR landed? But if LOSS now has the MOCR, where did it go?- 16,226 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Clone 01354 Productions replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
As a fan of Star Wars and BIONICLE, I should be pleased with new CCBS characters...... ....except I don't want it. I collect LEGO Star Wars mostly because of the ships, which look great on display and are enjoyable to build. The minifigs are pretty much pointless without a ship, speeder, or some type of vehicle. So translating a Star Wars character into CCBS would mean they get no ship, and thus they really have no appeal. -

Okay, I'll agree that Grinder has the mystery mask, but Warrior does too. We'll leave it at that, to avoid another argument. Also, you may want to check your attitude.- 16,226 replies

Did I say placeholder ONCE in that post? Nope. Anyway, look at Warrior: the top of his mask is just like the mystery mask's (with the Hewkii Inika-esque design), and the sharp cheekbones. And Grinder's mask is flat in the back, has a vent down the middle, and has a mouth like the Hau. Also, what two images did we have of S. Grinder and the mystery mask? I think you mean the single, even-more-blurry image in the prelims. So, think before you just get all snarky. And yeah, I know it's trans-lime green. Simple mistake, which honestly doesn't matter.- 16,226 replies

Oh, wow! Some thoughts: 1) Skull Slicer looks....decent. The trans-green and silver looks great, but I'll probably give him some extra silver armor. (I hate exposed balljoints). 2) Skull Warrior is incredible! He looks to have a nice, thin frame, but still adequately armored. Also, I'm pretty sure his mask is the mystery one from a while back.... 3) Skull Basher is probably my favorite of the henchmen. The color scheme is consistent, he's armored-yet-thin, and those horns are great! Can't make out the mask very well..... 4) Skull Scorpion is much, much better than I thought he would be. He has a nice blend of trans-yellow and silver, and although the grabber is still over-sized, it looks fine, actually. 5) Skull Grinder's color scheme is great, and the chest print is nice too. He seems a bit....exposed....but overall he looks great. (but is he wearing a SILVER HAU?!??!). Ekimu looks good, but from this angle he looks a bit too bulky. But then again, all of the Protectors do too.....And the MOCR is a great addition! Other notes: -Half-Trans, Half-Opaque Toa masks? Yes, please! -Love the new ax and sword pieces. -New rib cages are pretty neat pieces. -Again, pretty sure S. Warrior has the mystery mask, and S. Grinder has a silver Hau. -It would appear that the MOCR comes with a little stand IN the set, since the stand is brick-built (unlike the others, which are part of the display). Can't wait for this wave!- 16,226 replies

I'm still thinking that Makuta is not evil, nor wanting to create a skull army to murder everyone on Okoto. Sure, he was jealous, but he didn't have anything against the islanders themselves.....as far as we know, the MOUP is the evil force. However, it is possible that maybe next year, they look for Makuta thinking he IS the big bad evil, only to find out that the MOUP is the real target.- 16,226 replies

I know! When I see their normal version (with the individual eye-holes), they look too serious......When they have their one-slit and bright cartoon eyes, they're just adorable! Definitely. I mean, when they were wrestling on the floor.....#Kopahu2015! But seriously, I want to see Lewa x Gali. They just always seemed great for each other, so I'll be hoping for Galiwa. .....A giant robot was created in order to learn about the universe, but the prototype failed, and its pieces were scattered across the island......- 16,226 replies

Those episodes were everything I hoped! The Toa finally met up, and I must say that they all have a very distinctive attitude; I was afraid that they would all just blend into one generic "hero", but they're all different and lovable! BTW, it's official: my favorite Toa is, once again, Lewa! The way he spoke and acted had a hint of sarcasm (and he was a bit sassy), and the casual way he stood was so great! I don't mind the 30-second defeat of LOSS, since I never expected him to be a main villain. Maybe he'll come back, maybe not, but the way I see it, LOSS was just a way to test the Toa's unity. But I do wonder what happens to the Skull Spiders now..... BTW, the skull hand is tan.....I think.- 16,226 replies

I'm pretty sick of it. I mean, in Gen 1, the Ta-Matoran, Ta-Turaga, and Ta-Toa all got the spotlight: in MoL, the main characters were two Ta-Matoran, in LoMN it was Vakama, and so on......Give the Ko-characters the leading roles. I love Kopaka way more than I love Tahu, and come on: Matoro is better than any other of the Inika. Anyway, I'm glad to see that people are starting to warm up to the designs.....But I did notice that on S. Warrior, he has thigh armor. So, maybe the pieces DO have balljoints, or maybe he's just a special case....- 16,226 replies

Interesting episodes! Ashamedly, I tried to translate the episode with Google, but it came out saying "Fair doctor who has not found the 16 years is together", so....I'm done with Google translate. However, that is pretty interesting that Ekimu is talking to the Toa via the masks, calling them to the Ancient City. Also, the Toa apparently haven't met yet, but they'll probably meet up at the Ancient City, and then they fight LOSS. But where does the Skull Gang come in?- 16,226 replies

Really. I'm tired of fighting about something like this, since we cannot prove anything now. Any of us could make an argument to go in our favor, someone else can oppose us....I'll just lay low, and wait until the dust settles. I also heard that the Skull Gang is going to march into the Ancient City with to steal the MOCR! 1) The Ignika on the package was a placeholder, and some of Onua's pieces were placeholders. Same with some of the Protectors. And also....S. Grinder has a green eyepiece in the prelim. Placeholder..... 2) EDIT: Nevermind, Darth Vader corrected me. 3) Okay, they're not the same. 4) Right, like the holographic, digitally-represented Salacious Crumb (the monkey-type alien in the bottom right corner). Or Oola (green alien) built from pre-existing pieces. Here, check out this one: http://www.hothbrick...500-600x452.jpg. The Sith Troopers use knight helmets, the cockpit is a pre-existing one, and the Sith character has NONE of the new parts he featured. All I'm trying to say is that they have a chance of changing. Some prelims change, some don't. I just happen to think that these will change.- 16,226 replies

1) It could be a placeholder disk..... 2) I was being sarcastic. Of course S. Grinder will have that mask; I was just making a point that the prelim doesn't show it. 3) Skull Scorpion's face is pretty close to Witch Doctor. 4) Go look up some other LEGO prelims. For example, 2012's Jabba's Palace. No new pieces were shown, no new colors: the entire image is made just to give an idea of what the set will look like. This is probably the same case. Okay.- 16,226 replies
