  1. I just realized: when we get the books, will they reveal the names of the Protectors?! I hope they do, since I'm sick of people calling them by the Turaga names.
  2. Oh man, I was *just* about to buy the Inquisitor's TIE. Well, I just saved $60, since: Which reminds me of 2 things: 1).....Where did LEGO pull the Shadow Troops from? I was expecting to see them in the latest episode, since they were on Mustafar, but they made no appearance. 2) I really, really, really, REALLY want Sabine's TIE. It looks absolutely.....beautiful. LEGO, release that set please. 3) 4) I just want to say, Rebels is great. I can't wait to see what the show has to offer, and what sets may come from it.
  3. I actually love LOSS, so I don't understand all the hate for him. Is he small? In comparison to the Toa, yes. Put he's still pretty large compared to a Protector (which makes sense if you think about it. LOSS was expected, in the story, to guard the ancient city from the villagers, not space people that fell from the sky.) Anyway, he has a great piece count, a great function (I, for one, love it), and he's just a solid set. I guess that I don't complain about prices because I'm a LEGO Star Wars collector. I drop big bucks on tiny sets, so buying a $15 LOSS that's as big as he is.....to me, it's refreshing.
  4. Well really, the Toa Nuva were just the Toa Mata with some fancy armor. And really (this is my opinion), the story reason just....wasn't good enough. When the Metru turned into Hordika, the actual story explanation seemed reasonable, and the same with the Mahri. But the "adaptive armor" thing just doesn't work for me.
  5. I doubt they'll stick to only the six Toa. I mean, would they just keep releasing new forms of the same Toa every year, with some lazy excuse for why they look different? (*cough* adaptive armor *cough*)
  6. I also just realized that they never released Boga. Missed opportunity #2. I get that they gave us an ROTS-based winter last year, but I figured that they would at least do a special, ROTS-themed exclusive. And really, all we got last year was a rehashed Jedi Starfighter, a rehashed Droid Starfighter, a rehashed V-Wing......Every ROTS set last year was just a rehash. And we are still missing too much from that film--Jedi Temple (even rooms from it), AT-UT, Invisible Hand, a minifigure-scale AT-OT.....And, of course, Padme's Royal Starship. I get that LEGO targets kids. I understand that they rehash sets in order to appeal to a new generation of fans--But at a certain point, they need to listen to the AFOL community too. </rant>
  7. Well, a lot of fans think that the baby Fire villager may turn out to be a Takanuva-type character. I, personally, don't think he will, but if Takanuva does return, he needs to look like this. #FunmetalTakanuva2016FTW.
  8. Really, LEGO should've made the ROTS version for this year (to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the film). Missed opportunity.
  9. Oh, don't worry. I'm sure all the female characters will be included next year--so long as they are: 1) Main characters. 2) In $100+ sets. 3) Poorly colored (like some recent characters....*cough* Sabine *cough*) 4) Not proportioned right (*cough* Geonosis Padme *cough*) 5) ANY COLOR BUT PINK. 6) Have molds already in production. 7) Male. I am 90% joking right now.
  10. Oh no, the promo! I won't be able to buy anything until Friday.....Everyone, don't get any Hero Packs. Leave some for me!! .....But then the promotion does not work, kids do not buy the sets, and BIONICLE is canceled again by 2016! .....
  11. That Kopaka/POI combiner looks wonderful, and the wings look especially great. But are these combiners canon? Because it never happened......maybe they all combine during the battle for the MOCR? Also, I apologize for starting the Vahi debate again. I just asked one question, and now.....
  12. Sir von Lego, I would love for you to PM me a picture! (If you have the time and/or ability to).
  13. Can someone clear this up for me: the Vahi is the Mask of TIME, right? And as we saw in LOMN, all it was able to do was slow down/speed up time. So how come it has the power to bring people to alternate dimensions also, as many of you say? And it's starting to annoy me. LEGO has acknowledged that it is, in fact, an easter egg--but there's obviously more to it. It appears in EVERY episode now. We get that they're trying to emphasize time, but I think that the Vahi appearing in every single episode is overdoing it. If LEGO ends Gen. 2 by just leaving it open to the fans as to whether or not these are the Gen. 1 Toa, and they just leave these easter eggs for us to draw our own conclusions......I'll be furious.
  14. That would be a good way to sell a red skull spider, but it would be a definite impossibility for Gali's mask, because it would make it too easy to get one. I mean, LEGO knows that we all want a funmetal Kaukau "Trans-Mask of Water", and they would never make it so simple to buy dozens of them for cheap. And anyway, they want these masks to be special and collectible items, not some polybag that you can have tons of.
  15. Ugh, I hope that we don't get an element-specific setting next year (like we got with the Mahri, or Bara Magna, etc). When they confine the story to only being underwater, or only in a desert, it really just takes away from the diversity of the Toa team--and the mystical setting itself. For 2016, LEGO is going to make the MOCO in a volcano, and we'll get all fire-themed sets and locations. In fact, LEGO should make all the Toa red--it seems that the "fire" characters don't get enough attention.
  16. I had no clue that they changed the print for that polybag! It does look much better now.......the OT version is still superior.
  17. I just realized something about the red Skull Spider: If it DOES exist, and it's not just some stylized design for the comics, that would mean that the Skull Spiders will need to make an appearance in the summer story (to introduce the red ones). So get this: All of the Skull villains have trans red, right? And (I assume) that the trans-red represents some energy that brought them back from the dead. So.... Maybe a red Skull Spider would mean that it is undead?! Eh, just a theory. I am 99% sure there is no way that it will happen. But, if it does, then I called it.
  18. It is truly a shame. Really, I don't even want to pick up any Rebels sets considering how most of the minifigs are ruined: Sabine is red instead of pink (because, you know, boys can't have anything pink. And if you are a girl who collects LEGO Star Wars....well, tough luck.), Kallus is black (uniformed....), Ezra still has black hair.....And I'm sorry, but I still cannot get used to the Inquisitor. With the neckpiece, his head looks fat, and the printing is just off. Let's all just hope that the TFA minifigs look better.
  19. .....That's actually a possibility. I mean, I doubt LEGO would just totally ignore Gali, so this may be the way to give us the Trans. Kaukau. Oh man, that would be absolutely incredible!
  20. Like MakutaOfWar said, I'd go with Lewa: He's a very unique build (With the long limbs and raised shoulders), his color scheme is pretty great (at least, to me), and the weapon look great. Pohatu is just very.....basic: He has no friction joints, the body construction is average, and the weapons are worse than I thought. Sweet! I can't wait for "Chapter Book #1", but......Activity book? I'm going to look awful strange walking into Barnes&Noble, picking up a BIONICLE coloring book.....Wait, FREE MASK?! Ah, fine, I'll buy it. You got me, LEGO! I beg to differ. That minifig is pretty exclusive......But for this "BIONICLE Activity Book #1", I honestly have no clue what kind of mask it could be. At $9, I doubt it would be a Vahi (otherwise everyone would pick up tons of them, and then the mask isn't very special. Also, I am 100% against the Vahi Theories) But at the same time, I think LEGO would include something to reel in the AFOLs (like the LEGO Star Wars book I linked), so they are almost guaranteed to do something exclusive.
  21. That would be wonderful! I would just hope that it's better than BIONICLE Heroes.....As much as I love the game (for nostalgic reasons), it really is just awful. Unless, of course, you like 25 levels of mindless shooting. I just really hope that they don't release any games on the website, since my computer is unable to download Unity Web Player. I also don't have a phone, or any device with Google Play or the App Store. (I haven't even played the game yet! ) The Breakout torso is a terrible, terrible piece. Something about it just looks cheap....
  22. In relation to colors--well, sort of--I just wanted to mention something: Does anyone else miss the days of elementally-colored villains? A lot of the villains now seem pretty boring: gunmetal, red, and black have become "evil" colors. The summer sets do have some variety with the trans-colors (like Basher's purple), and I'll give this wave a pass since they're rotting skeletons--but for the next wave of villains, I would really like to see some colorful ones. Also, one thing has been bugging me lately: in the CGI commercial, LOSS grabs the MOCR and runs away with it. My question is this: If the MOCR wasn't released in set form for the winter, why would they show LOSS stealing it? Could it be that LOSS used the MOCR to create the Skull Spiders, and that is where they came from? And maybe LOSS has a larger role in the story.....?
  23. .....At my LEGO Store, though, I saw a beautiful phenomenon: There were two boys (I assume brothers) browsing through the shelves. One was around 14, the other around 8. When they came to the BIONICLE corner, the older one said to the younger one: "You should get one of these! They used to be so cool!" So maybe, just maybe, the new sets could get a boost in sales by older kids who used to like BIONICLE recommending the sets to their younger siblings.....In addition to the AFOL community buying them like crazy, and the extreme amounts of advertising going on. And really, we all have to remember that Gen 2 sets have only been out for two months. So really, I feel a bit better now. Yeah, back in '03, practically every single kid had a BIONICLE set. I hope the same is true for Gen 2.....
  24. Well, the Stormtrooper Transport is just a rumor, based off a ship from TFA. But if it ends up being true, we have no clue what it would look like. We've only seen the inside, where all the Stormtroopers were lined up and preparing for battle, so it could look like anything.
  25. That's probably only because all the AFOL BIONICLE fans have been buying them like crazy!
