Well, since this is basically a done deal, anyone have ideas of who might be a "successful infiltration" of the town in case Edward is telling the truth? After all, we do have a vig out there still who could knock off the lead alternate suspect as a backup plan. My 2 lead candidates for that (ie. the least confirmed in my opinion) would be Philip or Claire - even though I got a loyal investigation result on her, it's possible she's a godfather (godmother?).

Well, since yesterday was dead and today probably will too, let's see if we can find deeper meaning in the story photos... Day 2, the scum struck first, literally, with a hammer. Then the vig killed with a gun. Day 3, the first kill was a townie by a gun. The second kill was another townie, with a hammer. So did the order of kills change, or did they change weapons? Also, day 2, both victims were having personal time. Day 3, both victims were at work. Oh, and if we go all the way back to day 1 and look at the crew photo: Look at the guilty scummy doctor over there on the right. I'd say she's looking across the room at - BORIS and Jeremy. Proof of a scum team plotting right there in front of us? (it also appears that I'm giving the poor, innocent, loyal Trevor a man-hug from behind, but I swear I'm not. Look at our legs, it's just a perspective thing. I'm not actually behind him at all. Just to clear things up on that front...)

Alright! Got another one... Now, a little info to start off the day. On the puzzle yesterday, I won the code breaking and got a 1 shot investigation ability. I checked out Claire with it, since she's been so inactive. The commander told me she is a loyal sailor. So, with her off the hook, the two people I'm still wavering on are Phil and Edward. Can we just lynch one and have the vig get the other and be done with this hunt? Or anyone have other suspicions we oughta be checking out?

Alright, we've made it to 5. And I don't see much defense coming from Boris. Course, I don't see much coming from anyone about anything. I know there's some behind the scenes action going on by now, but come on people, we need action we can ALL act upon! -

So we're up to 4 votes on Boris. Unfortunately, we need 6 for a lynch today of the 10 remaining crewmen. If there's 2 scum left (boris and another), I'd assume they won't vote for him, so that really means we need 6 of 8 to agree. 4 haven't voted yet so come on people! -

Um, I did make up my mind. I said that both you and claire have a scum-lean due to not voting, but in your case, I think the miller claim is probably true and outweighs the not voting. So I rate you neutral to slightly town leaning. Clear enough? -

Thanks for that, Jeremy! Glad we can hopefully get past arguing over me and hunt the actual scum! (besides, if the COOK was scum you'd all be dead! Easy as pie to put some poison in your pie at dinner. Duh!) So... with me (hopefully, obviously one could argue that jeremy and I are BOTH scum trying to pull a scam here, but come on, really?) cleared... anyone want to make better observations about yesterday's voting? I'm not going to say anyone arguing against me was scum, because I do see how I could have been suspicious with my vote changes and all. HOWEVER, I'm not scum. Surely SOME of the people trying to off me are suspicious since they'd have been equally happy with me or Jerry getting lynched. Anyone else have Boris pinging their sonar screens yet? Him, Phil, and Claire are the scummiest to me right now. I've stated my case on them already today. I'll likely be away for a while now (got some heavy-duty galley cleaning to do) but will absolutely be back multiple times before the end of the day. So I'm not placing a vote yet, but if I had to, I'd vote Boris. You know, just in case a pan falls on my head and knocks me out or something, I will go ahead and vote. Vote: Boris (bob) -

Hm. The quiet ones today are Christopher (but I town-read him based on yesterday), Claire (that's 2 nearly silent days in a row!), Edward (showed up just enough to put a vote on Malcolm), and then Trevor (still town-read him because I think a miller claim would be darn risky - but in a crew this small, it might be worth the risk because there's not likely to BE a miller to counter-claim - but again, what's the gain? No one's going to trust enough to share info privately, so all you've done is put yourself at risk of a vig kill test of your claim) But number of words alone does not make someone scummy or loyal. As of now, Bob's pinging my radar the most based off of yesterday's voting patterns. Well, after Adrienne, but she's already dead :) Claire, Ed, and Phil I have at zero on my trust scale still. So let's look at the voting of those people. Phillip's the easiest. He put the first vote on Jerry and then just sat there. Could be legit, or could easily be a scum move to have a few people place scattered votes on day 1 and see what sticks. Claire and Trevor - didn't vote. Yeah, that scum-reads to me for sure. Edward - he put the third vote on Jerry after Phillip and Christopher. Decent place for a scum vote, it's early enough to seem legit but far enough in to hopefully start a trend. Hm. Think I'm going to move Phil to a slight scum-read. Trevor I still can't see it being a scum trick, so keep him at zero. Claire, I wanna slight scum-read her too. And ed, keep him zero I think for now. Later I'll go back through all the comments by these people and see if I can find anything else worth commenting on... -

Right, so then how can an investigation result come out on day 2 if a mouthpiece is needed? He'd need to find a trusted person on night 1 and then use them on day 3 to share the results of night 2. It's not like someone can say today "hey, person x investigated me last night and cleared me, so now I'm a mouthpiece for them and telling you they cleared me!" Unless it was a scum trying to get the real investigator to counter-claim, but they don't have enough scum left to sacrifice one like that. -

Sorry, was busy trying to crack that code. Takes a while when you've got just pencil and paper since the internet hasn't been invented yet... Ok, so trying to see why a couple of you are town-leaning on Chris. Let's see how his day 1 went. A couple fluff posts, no big deal there. Then he joins the Jerry vote as the third person with decent logic/explanation. Then I voted for him as a prod since he'd been quiet. He replied that he didn't like my poking and that Adrienne was suspicious for bland comments. Then talks a little that he doesn't think I wanted a lynch (not true at all, fwiw). I unvoted Chris and switched to Jerry since it was time for real votes instead of any more pokes. Jerry told us to check out Ed, Chris, and Spencer but didn't really say why those 3. And finally Chris called out Adrienne's late vote switch. So that's why you're town-leaning on him? He nailed Adrienne (twice!) with his suspicions? I'll buy that logic. -

I'm not sure that you're scum, but looking at all the evidence from yesterday logically (as opposed to just "gut feelings" and emotions and arguments and fluff) your initial vote stands out. And as I said, it has nothing to do with that vote being for me. If the votes yesterday had been split between Jerry and someone else the same way, I'd still be pinging. The reason I keep bringing it up today is because people (ie you) keep asking. So I keep explaining. Today's lynch is a long way off and it's possible something will come up to change my mind. My mind is still open, not made up yet, but right now you ping me as the most suspicious person here. -

Why do you think there's possibly only 2 total spies on this boat? I just can't see the Soviets putting so little effort into it. I think there's gotta be 2 or 3 left. So in that case I can completely see the scum putting a vote on Jerry and Bob on me at the start - remember that Adrienne didn't vote for me till AFTER the lynch was done! Her vote basically doesn't matter. So surely they'd have had a vote on each of the main suspects? The only person to unvote me was Jeremy, to seal the lynch on Jerry. -

I agree leans are useful - I was just asking for the basis of your leaning. I'll re-read yesterday, but my end of the day notes had him still rated a 0 (on my scale, everyone starts at 0. 10 is confirmed town, -10 is confirmed scum). -

Really, I was more helpful in other hunts on DAY 1? How's that possible? Face it, day 1 is pretty much throwing darts and seeing what we hit. This time as usual we jumped on something small and blew it out of proportion because we were desperate to have any suspicion to base a vote on. So what's your reasoning on leaning town on claire, right after saying she's suspicious for being so quiet? Because scum would have voted? Or what? Second, why a townread on Christopher? He was pretty darn quiet too, not a lot to go on. FWIW, I agree on town lean for Trevor (miller claim is too risky for scum to have tried) and Jeremy (his questions/comments yesterday seemed legit to me. And he sealed the lynch on Jerry when Adrienne still hadn't voted, so no need to if they're both scum). -

Why on earth do you both expect investigator results? Let's assume an investigator checked someone out and found them to be loyal. Great, the investigator can contact that person and start some talking. But for the investigator to SHARE that info means he's going to die asap from the spies. Maybe a protector can save him for one night, but still... usually the investigator wants to use the person cleared on night 1 as a mouthpiece about who they check on later nights. So that means nothing to share untill day 3. Now, if the investigator found a scum, then that'd be worth sharing publicly and trust a protector to save him tonight. So maybe we'll get lucky and have a scum caught, but odds are not high on that (just strictly speaking mathematically here, there's more town than spies - a good investigator is more likely to check someone suspicious and hopefully be right in finding scum) -

No, I'm saying your actions were scummy. My analysis would be exactly the same if it was about you and someone else instead of me. (and if you notice, I DID say in my analysis that you were quiet ) -

Well, a scum attack on me might be risky since they might suspect a watcher/protector/etc targetting me as well. Also, Patrick was a pretty experienced crew member, so another reason to target him over me. Whatever his (or her) reason, I'm glad! I was also looking at the votes from yesterday. Boris, Jerry, Patrick, and Adrienne all voted for me. 3 of the 4 are dead. 2 loyal and 1 scum. Now, my curiosity is... would the scum have put 2 votes on me, and a couple on Jerry, figuring that once the town was leaning one way or the other someone could switch at the end with a legitimate excuse of "making sure a lynch happened"? If so, then Boris could be scum. He threw his vote on me very early on and then just left it there and was fairly quiet the rest of the day. Seems scummy to me. He voted me first, before there was much to go on and few votes cast. Jerry, I get that, he was looking to point at anyone but himself (and rightly so, since he turned out loyal). Patrick, I even have in my notes from yesterday that his logic behind his vote and behavior in general seemed solid and loyal. I obviously disagreed with him, but he struck me as legit. And adrienne, no need to even comment there. She was saving her vote to the end to seal a lynch on Jerry or myself as needed. One other thing I noted - at least Jerry didn't have any special talents, or surely he would have declared that before the end in a last ditch effort to save himself. I've even seen sailors about to be lynched claim things they didn't have, just in a desperate attempt to stay alive. -

First, good job vig! Agree that her last minute voting was darn suspicious... Second, wonder why the scum took out Patrick? He was relatively quiet on day 1. Maybe figured that he was quiet enough to not have merited any protection and so could kill him off without problems? I assume we have 2 scum minimum left. Only 2 scum out of the original 13 seems low to me. I'd assume we started with 3 or even 4, so that'd be 2 or 3 left. -

Why those three in particular, when there's 3 others also voting against you? Just looking for more to go on tomorrow. Still accusing me of fluff? At least I'm TRYING here. You could only be bothered to make what, like 5 posts in the whole day? And of course I'd rather see Jerry lynched than myself. I know I'm town and I don't know that he is. I'd rather see anyone else here lynched than myself, since I'm the only person I'm 100% sure about. That's not "saving my own skin" that's logical playing and the right move for the sub as a whole! -

So now we're one vote away with a couple hours left. Claire still hasn't voted - but she was around a bunch yesterday. Not looking good for her to survive till day 3, either get vig'd or lynched tomorrow I bet. Trevor hasn't voted either, but he hasn't been around since evening 9/1. He doesn't seem like the type to normally ignore the scumhunt, so I wonder what's going on with him...
