The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BaneShake replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, that's the exact type of style. And almost the exact same color scheme. -

I can almost guarantee we will. If Joker is the main villain (which I think he is), he'll have several appearances, and probably more than one look in the sets, to increase desirability. -

For the level of detail and quality we're getting in that, I'm okay with that. I wonder if we're getting a proper small $12 set or two like we did with The Lego Movie. -

Kind of a cross between her classic purple and her current outfit, yeah. -

Batgirl is modeled after her VA, Rosario Dawson, who is black. You can also tell by her hair; it is much closer to Rosario's hair color than comics Babs' red. -

Since he's not wearing the suit jacket here, there's no place for the coattails. We'll see that for whatever gives him the full jacket appearance. -

Yeah, since the line-up of Batgirls in the comics don't have any black characters, this is just a race-lifted Babs. I think it would be awesome if we got a black Commissioner Gordon too. EDIT: Unless it's an "original" Batgirl, like Blake being an "original" Robin in TDKR. I suppose that's possible too. -

Between 13 sets and a CMF line, I'm staarting ti suspect we will. -

You're right, 'cuz it has to account for a belt piece. -

Yeah, that is bizarre. At least we're getting some incredibly unexpected and fairly obscure villains alongside of him in the same set though. -

What makes you say that? Heeey guys, are those new Bat-wing pieces on the 'mobile? -
Set pictures reveal a few characters for the movie. Man-Bat is exactly as he appeared before, Batgirl is indeed black to match Rosario Dawson, and we're getting the Kabuki Twins, an obscure-ish pair of assassin/bodyguards who have only appeared so far in The Batman. I can't wait to see footage involving these guys!

I love these! Joker's face looks much better than I was expecting it to be, and all of these new figs are spectacular! Love that Harley and her printed bat, Batgirl looks great (is that a new mask mold? Could be a SH Girls piece too). Just look at that Joker vest!!! Batman isn't radically different, but the new belt and subtle new face are great to have! Robin is adorable, and the "Bat-Merch" is hilarious, and the Kabuki Twins!!! Lego got fairly obscure for them! Man-Bat's a shame he's just a repeat, but I've been wanting another one to give normal brown arms to for a "folded wings" look, so that's okay in my book. And that doesn't even mention how good the builds themselves look! -

It'll be easy enough to make it Carrie Kelley. Put the hair on a female face. -

Mista J's face will have to grow on me, but the torso is rockin', and I don't mind the hair at all. -
LEGO Batman Movie CMF Series (2017) Rumors and Discussion
BaneShake replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
To everyone thinking this is Carrie Kelley: I see the resemblance, but A) she normally has square glasses, not goggles, B) Robin doesn't have visible "female" lips like Batgirl, and C) Carrie's outfit was directly based off of what Dick Grayson and Jason Todd wore as Robin at the time of her appearance in TDKR. It's not her. -
Reports are saying Dick Grayson.

I'm liking the purple Batgirl. I'll have to see a "normal" picture of Joker before I know for sure on him. And I wonder if that's not Robin's mask, but some kind of goggles, maybe night vision or "detective mode." -
Least Accurate Licensed Character Representations
BaneShake replied to BaneShake's topic in LEGO Licensed
His armor and costume itself bear very close resemblance to his Arkham City appearance. His face, though, I have no idea. He is almost always given red goggles, except in Batman and Robin, where his skin was blue, so it isn't that either. -
Ayyy love the old man Logan!

I know, I've been dying for an Ares! I'm still hopeful he'll be in the movie, and likewise a set. Is that a bit of a stretch for hoping? Absolutely.

Purist Video Game Figures
BaneShake replied to LegoMcBoss2004's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
These aren't purist physical figures, but I made two of Naughty Dog's characters (Nathan Drake and Joel from The Last of Us) in Lego Jurassic World, and I bet someone could take inspiration from it. Naughty Dog Characters by Charlie Griffin, on Flickr -

Oh god, I'd forgotten about terrifying Squidward! Must have purged him from my memory! Yeah, after some in-depth comparisons... yeah, she's pretty off. -
Least Accurate Licensed Character Representations
BaneShake replied to BaneShake's topic in LEGO Licensed
The only thread I've been able to find close to this is the least accurate sets, which isn't what I'm wanting to discuss here. If I have created a duplicate without realizing it, we can absolutely move this discussion back over there. As for my digging, I've found a few more. 2007's Hogwarts Castle has Hermione and, to a lesser degree, Umbridge looking off. Star Wars has Aldar Beedo's brick-built form, which looks nothing like the source material (not to be confused with his unique mold, which is much better). I'm going to start adding our "discoveries" to a list on the first post. -
The most accurate option would be if we got a Nightwing with a colored stripe printed down the middle of his black arms, as his sleeves are mostly black. However, swapping arms like this still looks good, and not too far off.
