  1. Well, in the live-action movies, that is certainly the case right now, but other adaptations have been very thorough in showcasing the wonders of DC's lineup. Live action shows like Smallville and the Arrowverse lineup have done a good job including the likes of Hawkman, Firestorm, Wildcat, and so forth, and the cartoons have included many like Dr. Fate, Plastic Man, and Blue Beetle. Thankfully, Lego has been slowly but surely following suit the last few years as well. Both the movies and our sets aren't perfect yet, but we are getting there in both.
  2. I just recently picked up Captain America's Mighty Micros set, and having it in hand really makes it stand out just how much I dislike most of the Marvel figs MM faces. The first wave simply feels far out of character for some of the figures, particularly Cap, Skull, and Hulk. This got me thinking: what other characters, from any of the themes Lego has adapted characters out of, did you find completely wrong for the character in question? Some demented part of my brain is determined to find the most inaccurate character depiction Lego has ever been responsible for. Side note: this is not necessarily a case of "bad" figures, as a fig can be very worthwhile without properly matching the character. For example, SDCC's exclusive Atom is highly detailed, but between a strange choice of helmet piece and not enough blue on the figure, it doesn't really feel quite like Atom. THE OFFENDERS: Marvel: The Chitauri The Mandarin (Final Battle) Vision (Age of Ultron) Crossbones (inaccurate to Civil War itself) DC: Atom Star Wars: Aldar Beedo (brick-built) Harry Potter: Snape (glow-in-the-dark) Hermione (2007) Umbridge Speed Racer: Trixie SpongeBob SquarePants: Squidward (original) Avatar: The Last Airbender: Katara Disney Princess: Merida Ghostbusters: Mayhem
  3. Yeah, that has never been officially stated, to my knowledge, so it could very well be minifigs. It's really a 50/50 whether they decide to make this line more in line with Friends or Super Heroes.
  4. Well... I can surprisingly live without that.
  5. You never know, we may get a nod in there yet. If Lego Batman 3 can have the Arkham Knight Batmobile cameo, there could be subtle hints at those games.
  6. That hair would also look rather "Arkham Asylum" too. I'd be on board for it.
  7. Yeah, that was interesting. Anywho, I've been very closely looking over the MMs for good pieces, which is a change-up as I tend to only care in-depth for the figs. Has the goblet on Killer Moth's car ever been released in that green before? And what piece is on the front of Wonder Woman's jet? In clear, it's hard to tell.
  8. Definitely post that once you've figured it out! I'm currently working on a Commander Shepard.
  9. The eye-hole lines going past the mouth and the forehead lines could be part of it. I've never seen a printed head mask with those.
  10. I never care too much about the boxes anyway. (Blasphemy incoming) I never even keep them.
  11. Especially since that Poison Ivy is based on TAS, that hair is absolutely spot-on. That is an absolutely fantastic usage!
  12. If it's successful (most likely), then we may see a small wave 2, just like the first one. Of course, we'll have to see how thorough the initial wave covers things. There'll probably be a few set options left open though.
  13. I guess you mean your... X-hopes? Heh. Sorry, that was bad.
  14. I love these projects, and would buy any of them in a heartbeat! I'll support your new one too! I started a custom printing help thread a little while back, and someone on there may be able to help; a few options are already listed.
  15. I'm going to use that face on the Micros Bizarro once it comes out! :D
  16. Bricks and Pieces has the golden wings for a good price. I ordered mine from there (set 41071).
  17. Can't forget the color black. Cap's worst enemy. :D Seriously, though, is it possible LEGO is keeping a tighter lid on these intentionally? We've seen several figures leaked out early the last several months (blue Nightwing, for example), so they may just be upping precautions for the rare figures.
  18. That doesn't discount the possibility, though. Bigfigs require new molds almost every time. Lego capitalizing on a preexisting mold for one character doesn't exclude a new one for a different character; if anything, one character reusing a mold means more time/money/resources can be used for a different one, since the first one didn't need them.
  19. I'm not deep enough into Marvel to puck this up, but it is definitely phenominal. I'm not as fond of this hulk, compared to the previous Hulks, but the other three are A+ material.
  20. Check by the Special Interests forums. There's a great thread for requesting custom decals, and someone there can probably help out.
  21. Awesome! That one is one of my favorites in the DC line.
  22. Just stumbled across the Spider-trike vs. Electro set still sitting in a Walgreens. Grabbed it for Electro, didn't even bother building the awful vehicle. Built a cute little drone out of the red pieces. Also found the Spider-Lady Vampire, which was the last fig I needed to complete my Monsters CMF collection.
  23. Just a general design based off of some of his comics looks. His robo-suits have been tweaked countless times over the years.
