The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BaneShake replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
As the same building? Probably not. Not only do the color schemes vary greatly, the styles for both are rather intrinsically different. Now, displaying them as separate buildings on the same land, a la Batman: Arkham Asylum's setup, would probably work with some greenery between the two. -
No problem!

That's an awesome Yondu!

I think he meant the pictures of the CMF line will be released next month. -

Nice! I'm tempted to round up the pieces to build my own! -
Are you wanting someone to recreate preexisting designs? If you have the capabilities of printing out sticker sheets, you could always post a picture on here of the stickers you're interested in.

Well, except for Bane, and Hugo Strange, and late post-crisis Riddler, and Hush, and Ra's al Ghul, and Catwoman, and New 52 Joker... -

Man, for a secret location, Lego Bruce seems to do a poor job keeping it that way. -

Back when I first heard of MM, I thought they were going to be bad. Now I'm super pumped for wave two. Bring on tiny Doomsday!

I'm not complaining, don't get me wrong. I'm actually complimenting the level of thought I'm seeing in everyone's speculation. Kudos. :) -

The speculation in this thread is getting more intense than Tom Hanks' in a Dan Brown adaptation. -

If he appears, it would be a reasonable assupmtion that the card would be printed on, as that is a key feature of his appearance. -
There's no way we're getting him. Even comics Purple Man is far too family-unfriendly for an appearance, and he's actually purple, so Tennant's appearance is double-unlikely.

The white backdrop really seems fortress-of-solitudey, so perhaps Superman has a bigger presence in this film than we realized. It'll be interesting to see more. -

I have a thought on all the inmate masks: in some stories, where Batman winds up getting locked in Arkham (usually undercover), they leave his mask on with the claim that it's part of his "delusional mindset" and that it will be easier to "cure" him that way. Maybe that has become Arkham policy across the board? -

I agree. Some of the Star Wars minifigs from a few years back prove that you can get too detailed on a minifig. And suited Riddler doesn't tend to have question marks on his pants, so it's accurate to much of the source material. -

So, by my count, and just by pics of sets we have seen, we're looking at eighteen new pieces, and there are obviously likely contenders for new pieces we just haven't seen yet. Is this the most new pieces introduced in a theme at the same time? -

I like Billy Dee-Face even more than I was expecting. I can't wait for his suit to show up in high-def pics! -

Nah, I don't think you're in the minority. We're all definitely drooling at least a little... right, guys? I'm not the only one salivating? -
To anyone who isn't familiar, Lashina is a New Gods character (think Darkseid). She is fairly obscure, probably the most obscure included (alongside Bumblebee), but that was probably an intentional choice by the show's creators.

Someone did indicate Catwoman being intentionally darker a couple months or so back, yes. Yeah, Ivy is three for three Arkham sets with significant cells now. At least she's finally been given a jumpsuit this time. :D
