The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BaneShake replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Jokerland, hands down. It's a little more toyetic, sure, but it's way more fun and with one of the best minifig collections in any one DC set. -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Batsuit, villain, I'm not too picky what it is, so long as "exclusive" isn't a technicality. Entirely the same bar a facial expression would be a shame... again. -
Please, LEGO, I'm already going to get your DC stuff. You don't have to bother with the awesome and well-designed stuff just to get my money!

The CMF Highwayman pictures are starting to circulate, and I'm going to be the first to call it; body and legs are perfect for a Vandal Savage.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion

I'll definitely grab a couple of him; one to keep, and one for a purist Vandal Savage.- 1,421 replies

I'd love to see some lesser knowns, as unlikely as it may be. Doom Patrol characters would be fun. Metal Men would be cool, if they actually make them metallic. Any version of Manhunter (preferably Kate Spencer). Of course, I'd take an expanded villains lineup. Batman's rogues are well represented, Superman and Flash both have a decent handful, and Aquaman and Green Lantern have one. Wonder Woman is just now getting her first, and there still won't be a minifig version of any WW villains. There are plenty of villains more loosely associated with the DC universe as a whole that don't even have to be tied into a single hero, like Vandal Savage.

Just replayed Assassin's Creed II for the first time since I was in high school. Giggled with nostalgia the entire time. I'll be replaying the other two Ezio games soon, since it's the ps4 collection. Also just played through Playdead's Inside. Very well-done, and if you are interested in it, you should go into it without any knowledge of what happens in the game. I will forewarn you, though, it is possibly the most disturbing game I've played. It is scary, for sure, but more so it's the kind of horror that lingers in the back of your mind for a while after completing.

Get Out. A brilliant satire by Jordan Peele (of Key and Peele fame) that is sometimes funny and more often than not scary. Definitely the best-made horror film I've seen in a while.

That's a shame. There were so many minifigures we could have gotten with existing pieces instead of a near-exact repeat of one of the most common minifigs. -

Minifigures custom printing service (opinions wanted)
BaneShake replied to dan76's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I would be super interested in someone who could print the parts I provide. I don't mind how it's printed, I will just need figures to look good with very close photography for stop-animation. I would pay based on complexity of printing, certainly, but don't have a specific price in mind as I have no idea what the printing alone will cost. -
That looks quite good! I haven't even bothered modding mine, but the simplicity works well here.

I see what you did there.

It's not quite that straightforward; so far, all three DCEU films have been profitable, with a strong enough support base (despite being so divisive). Even if these next two films follow the pattern, they will still turn a buck and have defenders. They would have to truly crash and burn at the box office for Warner Bros to consider derailing their many (many) plans for upcoming films. And while I can't guarantee this far out what Justice League hype will be on release, Wonder Woman being the first female-lead superhero movie since Elektra in 2005 (twelve years, dang!) is likely to have a strong draw to it on that front, not to mention any other number of factors.

Replaying Assassin's Creed 2 for the first time since High School. It was the first game in the series I ever played, and even after all these years it holds the same sense of wonder and mystery as it did in the first place. The Uncharted games are good for breaks between open world games for sure. I get overwhelmed if I play too many open world games in a row, so I always try to mix up what kind of game I play. Only a weekend? Wow, you have some strong willpower to break free that quickly!

Currently, that's just a quirk of the system. Hopefully they'll patch it soon.

Cap, this is astounding! My jaw hit the floor so hard I'm going to need someone to fix the hardwood!

Well, not the newest-- this was her costume during the "DC You" run, which has now been changed with the Rebirth books again. It is a great minifigure, though, and I always welcome a new version of Diana!

I'm not terribly surprised by this; most of the entries would have been incredibly pricey, even if they were designed down, and a license for Spaceballs would be very hard to obtain, as one of the agreements Mel Brooks had with George Lucas to allow the "fair use" of the spoof was a lack of real-world merchandise. And at the end of the day, I'm okay with this; more female designs are always welcome with me, since they are still catching up in numbers. I have purist figs to make, after all!
-
And even with a repeat minifigure, that's okay; the DCEU Wonder Woman is easily one of the highest quality minifigs we have gotten from the theme, so I'm okay with it in this instance.
