I have been telling THIS since the very beginning but someone in this topic was really so stubborn telling we should have called them Series 12... I am glad the topic name has been fixed now. I am sorry if I seemed to be too angered about the fact, but I always KNOW what I talk about (either I usually shut up), and I really was upset by getting this argument even in front of mere facts.

Yet they are FAR too big.

When someone wants to be right, you must tell him he's right. So you would call Mrs.Scratchmen and "Where are my pants" guy like "Generic Woman" and "Generic guy with pants in his hand"? Do you want me to tell "This is series 12, last year castle is Kingdoms 2, Galaxy Squad is Space Police 4." ? This is not the 12th series released as 16 characters: series 10 had 17. This is not the 12th series sold everywhere: series 11 wasn't sold in northern europe. This is not the 12th series released: it's the 13th. Unless Lego calls it series 12, I wont refer that as series 12: it's a custom interpretation. One should stick to what LEGO says and not saying his own version: it spreads confusion. Here on LEGO site: http://www.lego.com/en-us/movie/products/products/71004 you have a lot of text but NO mention to the number 12. They could have written "Series 12 will feature characters from the movie" but no, no 12 anywhere. I have my sources. You will have hard times to find this in Europe. Maybe in Germany or UK, but surely not in northern or southern europe.

Actually this IS the reason why this is not Series 12. Is it written somewhere? No. So this is the answer. You can call it whatever name you want, but the official name is something like "The Lego Movie Collectable Minifigures", or whatever, but no 12 in any way. Why don't you count "normal series" Team GB then? MMORPG minifigures will probably be Asia/US exclusive. No, my logic has no flaws. Yours has. When you say that team GB was exclusive to GB, I can say that series 11 was exclusive to US/Asia/Southern Europe. If someone doesn't get it it is indeed an exclusive, as it EXCLUDES someone from getting it. (This is basically what EXCLUSIVES are). I don't really find a valid logical reason foro calling this SERIES 12. It's not it. It's like you would call this castle KINGDOMS 2. It's not kingdoms 2. Compared to previous series, there are only 5 characters that could fit! Not the three robots. Not Emmet, Business, Pants Guy, WyldStyle, mrs. Scratchen-Post and Gail. Very hardly: Shakespeare and Lincoln. The only ones who could fit previous series are the Taco guy, the Panda suit guy, the cop, the barista and the mermaid, and three out of this five are re-uses. Every single thing that I could think about it leads me far from series 12...

For the same reason you didn't consider Olympics as "Series 8". They came in the midlle between S7 and S8, but no one considered them S8. By the way in September you won't have S12 or S14 or anything. That will be "The Minifigure MMORPG CMF" as much as this is not series 12 but "The Lego Movie CMF" and in may you'll have "The Simpsons CMF". Imho CMF ended with series 11, OR they are taking a break of one year. And Series 11 hasn't been released in most northern Europe. Your logic doesn't simply work. This is not Series 12. There's no "Series 12" anywhere. Period.

Well, I can tell you in my little, which is not counting as a valid example of course, but just for the sake of arguing I'd tell: I have bought about, say, a couple of thousand of collectible minifigures. This make roughly 100 minifigures per series. I have bought all twice, + army building the ones I love most. For S13, I will buy only 16, the 16 base figures. Which, in my case, is a loss of 84% of sales. BUT if they did LOTR CMF, I would have bought approx 300 minifigures per series. So IMHO it depedns on what theme they will have in mind to produce. I can also say that apart from the head probably you'll have standard minifigures and new torsos and legs that can be useful. I am not that disappointed, though I really think they lost the chance to make a BETTER serie with standard minifigures of course. I will judge S13-The Simpsons as a very poor series, just that. -

I quote anything you say, but I still find it difficult to find that stuff appealing. I bet a dime they will appeal little kids, what Lego is for, but that theme won't drag any afol into it, I suppose.- 2,626 replies

Ok, set for "The Simpsons House" number could be 71006. At least, there's a 71006 blank set with the same blue color used for minifigures Series 13 planned to be out in may. I have been asked to post these very little pieces of infos here, so here I am.

Future of the CMF as licensed characters

That's partially true. Maybe TLG and Megablocks have two different licenses. I really don't know but that's an option.
