  1. Wow. I just bought a light kit from blinkylights. It cost $25 USD. It came with pre-drilled roof, 2x6 gray plate and 1x2 trans blue plate.
  2. Very cool. I want to make one as well.
  3. Anyone notice the baseplate it is sitting on? Looks like normal plate rather than a traditional baseplate.
  4. Wife wants this to go with our Carousel. Can't wait.
  5. Thanks. i will look into them. Is there a Lego Store at Lego Land at Windsor Resort? Do you have to go into the park to go to the store, or can anyone go into the store?
  6. I will be visiting the UK in a couple weeks. I was wondering if there are Lego Stores around the London area? I am curious of any of them have an exclusive keychain/magnet minifig? I like to collect the "I Heart Lego" Minifigs from Lego Stores. But I do not recall a London/UK version. Does it exist?
  7. Is there anything happening May 22-23? I will be in London on those days.
  8. Trying to keep it Original Trilogy. Sadly there is not enough space on that arm to mount a head.
  9. That is an idea. Not sure people will get such a subtle motif. I really want to replace the stupid upside down beard. But at a lost of what to put there.
  10. Here is what it looks like with UV light. Added some more SW elements. I'm not sure what to add on the white pegs. Anyone got any ideas? I am also worried addng too much will overload the power functions motor. I dont have enough technic to add a second motor.
  11. Hmm odd. Try this link Here are some pics of my MOC/MOD Micro Slave 1. based off the Celebration version. I had to keep the wings tucked in close to the ship body otherwise they would hit the motor and the center column of the carousel.
  12. Procrastination is quite the inspiration. Last year I attended the Philly Brick Fest with my friends of my local LUG. I didn't have any MOCs. A year has gone by and I still dont have any impressive MOCs. I have a couple small things. But then last week I decided to build my 10196 Grand Carousel and modify it with Microfighters. OT only. I even scavenged the elements from other sets to make the Celebration Microfighters style Slave 1. The next Brick Fest is this up coming April 25. I went to Joann Fabrics to get star wars themed fabric. I traced the Grand Carousel canvas and cut them out. I used the Lego Muji hole punch to punch the holes for the attachment points of the fabric. Here is my WIP. I am ordering some light bley and SW themed elements to make this more SW themed. Oh, the black and white fabric is glow in the dark. Here is a video.
  13. I like it cause I got it on sale at the Lego Store. I think I got it for under $100. Then my friend was strapped for cash and sold me his for $100. Couldnt turn it down. So I have two.
  14. Picked mine up at Beachwood Oh Lego Store. The employees were like Promo Nazis. My wife and were going to buy one of everything to get all the promo kits. They said we could only choose one. So even though we bought the Slave 1, Detective Agency, some microfighters and other small sets we could only get one promo. So I got the flower cart. Hate that place. The store back in NY would not hesitate to give me one for every qualifying purchase. ANYWAY, love the Slave 1. I got there at about 10:30 am. They opened at 10 am. I had to ask for one in the back as the shelf was bare. I asked if they could hold it at the counter while I continued to shop. The girl recommended I hold on to it. Seemed like they didnt have much left. We left and my friend messaged me to pick him up Braniac. Went back in and they sold out of Slave 1 by about 11am.
  15. After getting the Cantina set, I had been wanting to re-create scenes from the movie. This one is just a filler shot in the Cantina sequence. But the I think the pilot matches. He doesn't like you, I don't like you either!. . . We're wanted men!! NO BLASTERS!!! I don't have it with me now. You can tell Jabba, he may only take your ship Over my dead body. I have been looking forward to this for a long time. Yes, I'll bet you have.
  16. Wow so cool! The wife and I were there back in July 2010.
  17. Sadly no it does not. This thing is awesome
  18. Not quite a briefcase, but gallon sized ziploc bags. He had a full bag of yellow, but only a small sandwich bag of flesh. Yeah Meiko, he said the official Lego one was disappointing so he got approval to go outside and get custom printed versions. I really enjoy them.
  19. I am at Philly Brickfest. And I got to meet Kevin Hinkle. He is the representative for North, South and Central America. He gave us his "business card" It comes in flesh or classic yellow. I got a flesh one. My friend made a Hinkle-beast. CLick the link below. When the image pops up, click in the image and focus will shift to where you click. https://pictures.lyt...pictures/798893 During his talk, there are two other representatives. One for Asia and one for Europe. Does anyone have a minifig from their LUG support Lego representative?
  20. So for pre-ordering The Hobbit Lego Video Game, you get Good Morning Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo's torso and printed sleeves are the most interesting part of this figure. Martin Freeman wears this patchwork jacket when Dwalin comes in to his house for Gandalf's meeting. As seen in the photo below. Here is the poly bag front. Full arm printing!! Back printing And here are all the different Bilbos.
  21. Thanks. I wanted to stick with all lego parts. But yeah, a painted mask would have been best. I wish lego made this guy. One side of the face could be glasses and mask, the other his face.
  22. More scene recreation with Winter Soldier.
  23. Here is what it looks like. Gonna have to steal Hawkeye's legs haha
  24. I would recommend using a chrome arm for Bucky. Also hawkeye's head is great if you want the red tinted sunglasses. What legs did you use for Bucky?
  25. Here is my take on Winter Soldier. I used Jaredchan's original idea but added my own twist. I used a chrome arm from a chrome TC-14 (SW Protocol droid) a chrome stormtrooper arm could work too. I used Hawkeye's head for the red tinted sunglasses. I based the glasses off this picture and in the movie he wears them. I also tried to replicate a scene from the movie.
