  1. Yeah I'm not a fan of boats either. I just wanted the mini figs.
  2. I'm lazy. I just care about taking pictures of them and sharing. Someone else will do a better job.
  3. Front Contents Minifigs. Iron Man Mandarin Unfortunately the beard covers up the interesting front printing. All my Iron Men.
  4. Found this at my local Walmart. I bought it just for War Machine. Front of box. I am not sure who Aldrich Killian is. Side. Back Contents Bag one contents. Bag one built. Bag two contents. Left over parts. Mini Figs. War Machine Iron Man Mark 42 Oh and his head glows in the dark. My set was missing the sticker sheet. I used some of the parts from the buoy and left over red crystal parts and added them to War Machine. I also added the cone missle and fire.
  5. I got mine on Tuesday. I think I spent over $500 last year. I'm not a fan of keychains so I removed them. Like I did with my gold chrome keychain.
  6. I wanted this set for Luke but then I saw the Hoth planet set comes with a SnowSpeeder pilot with printed legs.
  7. Oh it does. But so does a batmobile, generally it does. BT the Lego batmobile didn't have two seats. I was just hoping that they left room for catwoman.
  8. That is unfortunate. But I wonder why they designed the bat to have a spare seat?
  9. I got the Batman vs Bane DKR set. Perhaps this is wishful thinking but the Bat has a second seat. I'm hoping that next year, perhaps fall or winter they might make a DKR catwoman and bat pod? That way you get the bat pod and a catwoman to put in the Bat.
  10. IIRC it is $49.99? I dont remember seeing "EXCLUSIVE" on the side. I will check tmw when I go back to the mall.
  11. Wow that looks fantastic. Would you mind making it in LDD and sharing the build? I would like to build one of these myself.
  12. My local Lego store has the Hoth set. I was saving my money for the Batman vs Bane set so I didnt get it. At first glance I blew this set off until I took a closer look at the new figs. The new leg printed Luke is enticing.
  13. How did you make those deep dish rims? They look great!!
  14. I love the batsignal!!
  15. Yep. The Gamorrean guard is a little wide but with a little adjusting you can squeeze him in there. Luke gets swallowed whole. And the mouth can close. I tried putting a stud on it and sadly it is too wide.
  16. Just saw this too. It is very cool that they are donating their 1% to the Michael J. Fox foundation.
  17. Just saw the video. Excited about BTTF and that is pretty cool that the creators are donating their 1% to the MJF Foundation.
  18. This is awesome. I hope to see it in person.
  19. I dont think that is the right number. The number TRU uses is 6 digits long. Usually called "Item number" in the store or "R Web #" online.
  20. Fantastic, I want to make this. Can you show it in steps?
  21. Oky great use of the Woody clock for scale!!! How did you get the iconic cloud background for the shot?
  22. True but just shop around for deals. TRU right now has the offer of $25 off any $100 purchase of regularly priced Lego sets. (technic and TMNT are excluded) Once in a while they have BOGO 50% SW lego sets. They also price match. Just not sure if they will price match AND give you the deal together. I grabbed Jabba's Palace for $85 off craigslist. Unopened too.
  23. Thanks. I need to find out what the 6 digit item number is for the batman set. Anyway I got the $25 off when I bought this and the Urukhai army set. So the price wasn't that bad. But at full price. Ouch. As I said in my conclusion the Rancor is something we SW fans have been dying to have. It does make up for a lot. I like the set. Just the price kinda hurts.
  24. See my review. It was $65 at my TRU. Then I bought a $35 set to break $100 and got $25 off for spending over $100. That brought the rancor set down a bit. I got the Uruk-hai army set for $36.99. If you take the $25 off just the Rancir set that comes out to only $40. Not too bad when you think of it that way.
  25. I went to my local Toys R Us in search for the new Batman Tumbler/BAT set that some members have already found. To my dismay I did not find it. But i did find the Rancor Pit!!! I bought it with Urukai Army set and got $25 off. Minifigs: Luke Skywalker, Gamorrean Guard, Malakili (Rancor Keeper), and of course the Rancor. Build: Rancor Pit Price3: $59.99 (TRU had it for $64.99) Subtheme: Return of the Jedi Pieces: 380Release: Now I assume. Front of the box. Yoda layout. Back of the box: Shows the features parts of the Rancor and how this set combines with 9516 Jabba's Palace. Contents of the box:Here are all the big bags and instructions Minifigs first!! Bag one has luke and Gamorean Guard. The guard is identical with the one from Jabba's palace. But luke has a new face!!! Luke's face has lines under his smile. I think it is to reflect the aged Mark Hamill. The torso is the same as in the Skiff set. But this head has an alternate face!!! Now onto the Rancor!!! Beautiful isnt he? Bag two minifig. It also includes a skeleton but nothing special about that. Malakili the Rancor Keeper He has back fat printing and a crying face haha. Now onto the pit itself.Bag one contents There is a small alcove for Malakili's tools. I suppose these are needed to clean up after the Rancor? the bucket seems a little too small for Rancor waste haha. Bag one complete. These pieces are part of Malakili's staff. I dont think these pieces have existed before? Correct me if I am wrong. Bag two contents Bag two complete. Bag three builds the uprights and bag four builds the top portion. Extra pieces . Now for some fun!! You can see that there are 4 holes that mate with the 4 points ontop of the pit. So Jabba's throne room can interlock with the pit. Here they are combined. Rancor gets a snack Luke hides from the Rancor. Playability: 9/10* This score is a bit tricky. As a set by itself it has it's merits but it truly shines when combined with Jabba's Palace. By itself I think I would give it 7/10. The set doesnt really do much. It is the figures that make the play fun. Design: 6/10* As I said earlier the set, by itself, is a bit stark and doesnt do much. The portcullis is nice but the technic part that holds it up is a bit of an eyesore. However the design to link with the Jabba's Palace is the best part. Price: 2/10 - This has got to be the biggest part that I dislike. 380 pieces for a $60-$65 set? Outrageous. But if you consider the fact that the Rancor is probably worth about $20 then the set is only $40. Not terrible but not great. Minifigures: 10/10 - Rancor, Keeper, and Luke's new face really are the best parts of the set.Parts: 9/10 - not really sure about this part. they match Jabba's palace.Overall 26/50 - Not a great score. But don't let that detract you. This set really completes Jabba's Palace and has been something SW fans have been dying to have. Mainly the star of the set, The Rancor. That alone makes up for the price issue.
