I know this is a given, but the minor details that changed (crops growing, lush green foliage, etc.) really pop. Still looking forward to Autumn.

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Didnt know that there are Drow alliances. Im also curious as to if Angeli's Drow would remain neutral. -
That's a strong start. That gateway is grand and wonderfully detailed. Great work!

Thanks again guys! Well to be honest, I ran out of 1x1 cylinders and 1x1 studs. I wanted it ro be about 6 or 7 more bricks in height but yea. Thanks man! Thanks for the advice. Im still learning my way around this irregular base concept so every bit helps. in retrospect it may have been a good idea to just start and finish with a green base, but hindsight is 20/20. Thanks again!

The color is nice, and I like the sea wall/walkway structure.

Thanks Guys! I thought the lavender ended up highlighting the green nicely as well. The tower was meant to be simple in design, as I tend to draw upon people like Kevin hall and Anthony Sava when it comes to building in a traditional English style. As far as the layout, I was attempting to keep it uniform-Deep Soil (Brown) Organic Substrate (tan) then Grass (Green), like in real life. It could've easily been just green as well, but both work. Thanks man!

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Yep, everyone else go home Angeli's got this one. -
So I'll be honest, I can name two people that I've seen using Ldraw whose work I can enjoy. I notice most people who use Ldraw, use it to build rare color, or overly large builds, or builds that, when physics are involved, would be very difficult to pull off. That being said your becoming the third person whose Ldraw builds I can enjoy, mostly because they are realistic creations that are solidly built. Now that we got that out of the way, the buildings are a good color, minifig posing is well done, giving it a lively atmosphere. my suggestion would be variation and texture. Add height to the planks on the roof and use wood, texture the ground and add bits of foliage here and there. You've got a solid skeleton, now add muscle and character to it, if you get what I mean. Otherwise nice job sir.

Thanks guys, always nice to see you guys giving feedback. As far as the tree, I was a bit heditant at first, but then I remembered this was Avalonian in nature, so it fit right in. Doung rough math in my head, closer to about 500, along with 20 or so broad leaf leaves. Thanks man!

Reminds me of the work of Anthony Sava and Kevin Hall. This has an awesome classic castle feel to it!
-
This has alot of playability to it. I like the addition of a garden for the person living there, and the boat cave.

I am going to remember that! That picture looks gorgeous. And thanks for the comment.

Thank you three for your kind words!

Lavenwood Vale http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=120986 -
Avalonia, with it's enchanted forests, rolling hills and green pastures, contains some of those most scenic and serene lands in all of Historica, and Lavenwood Vale fits the mold perfectly. A land between filled with lavender leaved forests and open fields, the citizens here enjoy the productive harvest, and the protection of the Rangers of the Vale. A farmer makes his way home from town, passing one of the Rangers' garrison towers. The break from Nocturnus, as well as the Historica tour, continues. Nothing complex about this, just been wanting to use the old lego tower technique in a build as well as do a classic fantasy build, for a while now. As always thanks for looking, commenting and critiquing. There are a couple of more images on my flickr page if you guys' are interested.

Strategically and aesthetically sound. You did a nice job with the minifig posing as well.
-
You did well creating your own sky, as well as balancing the colors/foliage.
