Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Blufiji replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
New Freebuild continuing my part of this story. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=122337 -
Gal Turok stepped off of the creeky boat and onto a small dock, for he ahd arrived at The Glade Fort, a small outpost near the foothills of the Rakath. Waiting for him was a soldier of the Legion Reach, the defenders of his territory in the Rakath. The soldier bowed a short bow, and Gal Turok spoke. "Where is he?" "We are holding him just inside the walls Lord Turok." The soldier opens the door and there he is, sunken in a corner half conscious. " I hope my companions didn't miss treat you to badly..I know how..delicate you deep dwellers are.." The Drow glanced up, his deep red eyes burned with defiance. "Soon Goblin Lord, we shall see whose delicate. Word reaches us in the deep of the death of Vladivus, the fracturing of your so called alliance. You lords of Nocturnus are nothing but common paupers pretending to be princes. You, your people, your entire culture, shall be like the sands of the desert..nothing but dust beneath the might of the Spire. Gal Turok listened intently, his rage hidden beneath his battle worn helm. The Drow had spoken out of turn, but he spoke the truth. The Alliance was floundering, what few clans and tribes that had been brought into the fold were blades of wheat before the scythe that was the Spire. But the Drow was in for a shocking revelation. "What's the matter Goblin scum..is the truth to hard to swallow.." Gal Turok spoke in his usual monotone voice. "No cave dweller..the truth is the truth..as it has always been. Now here is truth for you..You have severely under estimated our resolve.Yes are numbers are few..in the East..Yet we shall soon have more than enough to bring you and those who serve the spire to heel. We will purge you from this land like one purges corruption from a wound. We will fight you on Rod's Peaks, In the swamps of the Moruth, in Skavenport and Kyrrath, in The Reach, in Shadowmere, The Labyrinths, to the very streets of Abyssian itself. In every tavern and village, every mountain crag, every hovel even in Hell's Gate, we will fight you until we have cleansed this land." Gal Turoks eyes met the Drow's, and the Drow recoiled in fear.. "And once we have done all of this, brought your spire to rubble and pushed those you serve to the sea, I will personally enter the caverns in which your kind scurry about and rip you and your people from this world. Your kind will know the meaning of oblivion by the my hands!!!!" As the Drow warrior opened his mouth, he instantly found Gal Turok's sword plunged into it, the blade quickly dripping in the tar like fluid that the Drow called their blood. "Be silent, inferior vermin." One of the guards spoke.. "Lord, there was another reason we summoned you hear. Ravens flutter about and deliver messages regarding troop movements of both allies and foe. Even more troubling news..The faction of Drow that broke off many moons ago has resurfaced. We do not know what side they fight on." "It makes no difference, if they stand in the way of the Alliance bringing peace to this land, they will meet the same fate as their bretheren. " "What do you want done with this one.?" "Quarter him. Send one of his arms to that abomination of a landmark they call the spire. Send the other to the Rego. Send his head back to his people. Let the swamps claim his legs." With that, Gal Turok sheathed his sword, and prepared to meet with the Council of Grazauth, in Deep Sanctum, Supreme Capital of Goblin kind. So that was a long read, hope you guys enjoyed it. I was in a bit of a rush tonight, so I'll post pics of the more gruesome parts of the build later on this weekend. As always thanks for looking! For more pics click the flickr link otherwise sit tight, for the other pics.

Really lovely serene build.

Excellent, love the water.

Great tower, Avalonian to the fullest. Look forward to more of your city.
-
Like Jacob said, nice conclusion to the story and a great collab by you and Titus. The build itself is impressive, didn't know a lava ting surrounded Shadowmere's main fortress.

That wall is wonderfully built. Lots of texture and good techniques. Being of the east, I gotta support Shadowmere, but you deliver a nice siege sir!

Now I gotta step up my storyline. The interior is exquisite, the stone work has just the right amount of detail and doesn't look too busy. I too am wondering where the drow will land in our civil war.

Thanks guys, glad you guys enjoyed the distraction from the things to come.

Nice job on the interior. I like the cobbled wall as well.

Melarane Is a young witch of the Silent Grove who has been deemed a prodigy by her peers and instructors. Unfortunately all that praise has gone to her head. On her first day of broom training, she boasted that this would be child's play. Now it seems the broom is playing with her!

The statue is very animated. Im curious as to how you built the door.
-
Really nice job on this, it's fullness of the interiors and the small touches really imply a library setting.
-
Excellent finish to the project. Fall still my favorite however..

I just wanted to drop in and see how the members of West Kaliphlin are doing. There seems to be some pent up aggressio. towards NOCTURNUS in this thread and I wanted to see if we could move past it :) -

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Blufiji replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Also I dont think territories should be huge swaths of land. Only a bit of land around a territorial capital (What a lord can effictively control) and/or spots weve already established belonged to someone. Again myself as example. I dont claim the entire Autumnal Forest just an area in it, as well as a small part of the swamp (Glades). Everything else between the former and latter is "Travel at own risk" lands. The Lords of Nocturnus can barely keep order in their own regions, or atleast thats the impression I gather. Hope you guys understood all that rambling. -
Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Blufiji replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
To expand on the topic, I agree all races we are and use should be included, as well as a brief detail of the region they are from, what lord(s) they pledge loyalty too (Fealty I guess?) and a quick history. It could be a seperate topic or we can petition Z to include it in the OP. For example if I were to use myself it would be a tiered format: Blufiji Avatar: Gal Turok-titles etc. Race/Lordship: Goblins And their Empire Home Region: Twilight Forest (Autumnal Forest), Southern Rakath Insert Short History here. Provincial Regions: Nyx Glades Provincial Races: Nikrit Insert short history here regarding Nikrit I may have went into a bit much detail, but this is just a general idea. -

Says the man who really really really wants to join Nocturnus. The only thing your confining is yourself in those flower print outfits. Speaking of vermin, you get those lice out of your powdered wig yet? -

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Blufiji replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
And in this 17th century that you speak of, does it include wearing powdered wigs and clingy overcoats that go with the ridiculous tights and pointed shoes that you guys wear? If so, I'll stick to raiding, subjugating and pillaging my neighbors as the alternative. Enjoy your wigs and over coats West Kaliphlin. Hmmm, I suppose if by fertile you mean over grown with smugness..then yes they are fertile. -
Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Blufiji replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Well I see someone woke up with their tights inside out this morning. No worries, I'm going to address these.. Your first three statements are true, but to why..I cannot say. I am guessing that once they took off the tights and let the circulation return to normal, they came to their senses and joined superior guilds. Your fourth statement, again is true. But this is no different then the clans and dwarves of Mitgardia, or The High council and Low Council slicing up their lands..so the point is moot. Your last statement, once again is true..and I will continue to trash talk the lands haha. Now I'll address something else. All this discontent is starting to make sense. Your lands once were known as "West Kaliphlin" some time ago, and if your next story challenge includes you guys' fighting off your former master, it could be again. Under your Avatar, you have so boldly expressed your interest in joining the Darklands. I'm sure if you asked and pleaded, the powers that be will let your dreams come true and we will find a "territory" for you. \Don't you have your own problems to tend too?..maybe not enough trees growing in your yard or something ;)
