Well, BL has every part, so if you're building from a LDD file, that's what I'd do. Sure, you have to buy from various sellers and pay shipping. You'll also have to wait until the parts arrive. But it's less of a hassle than going to various stores and wasting time not finding the parts you need. The PAB wall is useful if you want to buy large quantities of common parts. ex. red 2x4. But it's not, IMO, useful for a MOC. Don't use online PAB. The prices are outrageous and the selection isn't great.

[SoNE Freebuild] Coffee Tastes Better With Milk
AwesomeBantha replied to Lord Tyrus's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Thats's $37 ! Like how you used Larry! Nice freebuild, good luck! -
Well, to be fair to 7140, it's MSRP was $40. $30 But the 2012 one is, IMHO, the best.

News Flash! One of the new 2015 SW Sets is going to be "Shadow Troopers". We'll also get an ITT! What could this mean? A shadow trooper battlepack? I know they aren't stormies, but this could be a good way to amass an army; The ITT, though, may contain the 6 stormtroopers necessary to fill the ship... I can't wait-what do you think? Will LEGO, for the first time in 8+ years, give us fans the means to acquire more storm/shadow troopers?

Ooh, Dark Orange torsos and arms! Interested in making customs myself using that torso (blank). Where did you get them?

Great job, Brickwright! The proportions are great, and I like how we can see elements of so many different iterations of this iconic walker. The feet are especially awesome; they look almost like the real thing! How many minifigs does it fit?

Awesome! Wouldn't it be cool if we had a whole series of Exo-Suits? Now I've got an idea... Exo-Tauntaun!

Shuttle, Shuttle, SHUTTLE! As always, your mini-ships are amazing and do not disappoint! It's cool how it, like your previous MOC, fits into the 14x14x6 space!

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
AwesomeBantha replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yep, you should definitely go with the AT-AP. You get more minifigs (and better ones), more features, and it's cheaper! -
Not sure if I'm the first person to mention this: TLG might come back with a new Cloud City Boba Fett/Lando Calrissian. Some rare figures could get a newer version of themselves-like Jango Fett, and the price of those drastically fell. But they'd never re-release Mr.Gold; he was a one-off promo to celebrate 10 successful figure waves. Also, they made a big deal about it-advertising in LEGO shop orders and on the website. More people know about him and there is higher demand. Therefore, owning Mr.Gold is practically a risk-free investment because there is literally a 0% re-release possibility.

[SoNE Ep.6]Boba Fett said "Thank You" too
AwesomeBantha replied to KevFett2011's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Yeah, he would probably arrange a more discreet meeting-involving a messenger/hologram. But the mini-build is nice; I especially like the doors! -
Size matters not . What a nice little build. It's very part-efficient and you've done a great job of building a small vehicle at minifig scale! This would fit nicely into any construction site!

I like the Y-Wing very much, but the B-Wing isn't that great. The A-Wing and the Cantina are both great sets, so I would say that you should get them. If you really want a Y-Wing, it's worth the extra shipping! -

Ideas for New Action Themes
AwesomeBantha replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Yeah, underwater adventurers sounds interesting to me! They could mix Atlantis, Aqua Raiders, Orient Expedition, and Adventurers, and churn out great sets! One question-does PC stand for "Pirates of the Caribbean"? -
Just amazing, Disco! This really is a complex build and you've done an awesome job! Even though we don't know what Ankylosaurus used to look like the color scheme is great!

SW sets are released in Europe 2-3 months before the US. Therefore the fans who really, really want it get the set in advance. Plus, LEGO seems to believe that there is much higher demand for the licensed sets, so IDEAS/Cuusoo releases are much smaller. Also, licensed sets are more distributed; local toy stores can get them easier than the I/C sets. It's a shame that LEGO hasn't learned that they should produce more of these-if the fans voted for it, the fans will buy it!

$15k for a clone? I bet it isn't even Megablox quality !

Option 1, IMO, is the best. Am I the only one here to think that ? The dropship is AWESOME and the Twin Bike has good parts-especially Eglor's torso !

That's a lot of Brickwarriors! Great MOC, as usual. I like the water-it's simple but looks awesome!

This is just pathetic. The whole Greenpeace thing is understandable-because it's gotten a lot of support and the author is obviously one of the supporters, but the whole thing about licensing is just stupid. Who says you absolutely have to follow the instructions? Which kid would say that today's LEGO sets are more "stifled" or "tell them what to think"? In many ways, IMHO, LEGO has improved by leaps and bounds over the past 84 years. They went from wooden ducks to iconic bricks that so many kids and adults enjoy. The new licensed sets aren't must-have. They aren't restricting play-in fact, with the all the new pieces and bricks play should be easier than ever. 50 years ago, LEGO sets came with instructions and the box had pictures of the play features of the set. Why is this such an issue nowadays?
