  1. I probably won't get time to build in the next few months (judging by the last few weeks) but sign me up on the side of the Kaliphlin high council! Hopefully I will be able to get back to building before the end of the challenge.
  2. Nice build, the story's looking good so far- I just spent the last hour catching up on the rest of the prelude.
  3. Reasonably well made, I bought the AAA powered one hence the fact that I can't quite fit the battery box under the waterfall. The battery box dimensions are roughly 7 studs by 3 1/2. Theres also the chip which you connect the LEDs to. I would probably recommend this one (http://lifelites.com/products/110) if you dont need more than 4 light connection points, and dont mind using button batteries.Edit: I got these ones http://lifelites.com...products/132.
  4. Thanks! I know I had a go at re editing it but it just made the shadows look more pronounced, I'll have another go at editing the original soon.I got Life Lites!
  5. Achiren's Falls|BrickCurve|Kaliphlin http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=105032
  6. Thanks guys, I know the waterfall is a bit too short but I ran out of trans clear parts. @Andrew Spader Rocks in the river is a great idea, I'll definitely use it next time.
  7. My first attempt at a waterfall. Far in the outer reaches of Kaliphlin...
  8. @Goliath The tracks on #1 are from a city bulldozer of some description, #2 is from the star wars hail-fire droid, and #3 is from the indiana jones jungle cutter. Hope this helps.
  9. I've been busy the last few days- I won best in my category at Brickvention! I will try and get the Moc up in the next few day.
  10. I would like to claim the UoP credit for hydrology: Flowing water. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=104394
  11. An updated version of my original model ready for Brickvention. I would like to claim the UoP credit for Hydrology: Flowing Water.
  12. Valhiron Valley is located in the far north-east of Kaliphlin. This fertile patch of land is perched among the rocks and craggs of the Rakath mountains. Colonized by Mitgardian dwarves in search of minerals and iron ore, it is overseen by a Kaliphlin outpost.
  13. I ended up scrapping the bridge and concentrating on a 32 x 80 diorama which I have just enough pieces to finish. I also want to put a tree next to the tower but I am having trouble choosing a good technique it. Its come down to 2 different techniques- a tree using flower stems- http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/24mLHRKlKDg/0.jpg or a tree with a flex hose as a spine- http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/286993 . Any more suggestions for trees or the rest of the moc would be a great help.
  14. I will probably demolish the 2nd segment and use parts from that as a base for the next part of the main bridge. The only problem is that there will be 8 studs of water and a row of burps left on the end of the 32 x 32 baseplate, I will probably have to move the whole thing over 8 studs and start again.
  15. Great looking rock work! The fort on top fits in perfectly.
  16. UoP +1. Great build Gideon, the abandoned tower and spines used as grass is a nice touch.
  17. The differentiating water is there because I am currently ordering more 1 x 1 slopes to finish off the rock work in the second segment so then I can do the final layer of water. the 2 varying styles of bridge came about while I was experimenting with ideas, (I made this moc to test several of them). A later reincarnation of this would probably be the last large moc I will have time for considering that I need something built for Brickvention by the 14 of January at the latest. The idea for the rope bridge mainly came from this- https://flic.kr/p/aGKhAg My ideas for the stone bridge mainly consist of a tower or similar structure built on the next segment of the bridge, similar to this or a slightly more ambitious bridge ending with the gatehouse and wall, something like this
  18. I went a bit further with the bridge idea and have ended up with 2 different bridges in the same moc and have no idea where to go from here. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
  19. Another great build, it's nice to see one of the rare windmills of Historica.
  20. I would be happy to help with a smaller build although with christmas and various brickvention mocs I don't have time for anything too large.
  21. Category A: #3 #5 Category B: #3 #4 Category C: #1 #4
  22. @NiceMarmot- Thanks I will probably go with the bridge, assuming I can wrangle enough time over christmas. I got one good deal- a 40% off voucher which I got as a prize at a local expo, I spent it on a modular pet shop. Not really anything to do with the november Lego sales at all but that was the only set I was interested in.
