  1. OoC: Sorry I couldn't get on sooner. Lind lifted up the Mushrooms, and looked at them admiringly. "Very satisfying, but while we were fighting, I had an idea-" Lind sighed as the loot fight broke out, and slowly quieted. "Look... I don't think many people here, would disagree, that I'm one of the most...eager people, when it comes to loot. I...try and look out for myself. But we're in an end-times scenario, here. We need to prioritize the group, and what is good for the group as a whole, over ourselves." The Munchkin lifted up his Level-Up Shroom. "Look at it. Beautiful. Hours of work...all bound up for free, in a single consumable. But. What good can it really do me? It's...just one level. A tiny bit more power...barely anything." He held up his hand. "Just give me a minute...I'm coming to the point. Benji...you're already one of the strongest players Heroes I've met. Those shrooms will help you a little, sure...but not that much." He crossed his arms. "Who, here, would gain the most from these - especially the Mighty Mushroom? I thought about this earlier, and the answer...is actually pretty simple. Karie. Think about it - her battle songs are one of the most important parts of these fights. Without her Hastening us constantly, we'd have a much, much, harder time of it. That little bit of extra power will barely help us - but two or more extra ether, especially when we're coming up on an arch-demon? That could be the difference between a complete party kill...or victory." Lind set his Mushroom on the ground, between Karie and Benji. "Again, all of you know how much I love loot. But this is a time when we all have to think of the party, over ourselves. We are the last hope of Eubric...the Fae...and who knows what else? And that's why I'm putting my money where my mouth is, and offering my mushroom to the project. Benji, that mushroom by itself, to you - without a Level-Up Shroom, it's practically useless. But...if we take mine, and combine it with yours...we can do something really good for the party." He nodded at Karie. "...Honestly, I think we should give you all of the Mushrooms. But if no one else feels that way, I completely understand. They are valuable, after all. But...I kind of hope our Prophet can see things from my point of view. Either way..." He gave the Mushroom a goodbye pat. "...Either way, eat up, but wait to see if Benji will maybe be a sport, and double it's effects." "Karie, you've always shown it. You're the best team leader I've ever had." He grinned, and began to toy with his Pickled Mushroom. "...Anyone going to try theirs? Kind of curious what these things do..." "I have no idea...I feel like a powerful figure would naturally hang out in the top of their tower - but then again, this is a demon. They might prefer dungeons." He shrugged. "Eh. Let's go down." OoC: The general TL;DR of that somewhat long post: Lind gives his Level-Up Shroom to Karie, to eat, and he hopes that Benji will share the Mighty Mushroom with her also.
  2. Lind dual-strikes Dark Druid B twice with the Bifrost Blades from the front row. If B dies, or has died, he then focuses his attacks on Rot Golem B from the same row, with the same weapons. Otherwise, he repeats.
  3. OoC: My SP's fine, but I'm not Immune to Darkness - I would only get that from my Skull Shield.
  4. OoC: @Waterbrick Down My stats are still showing for the wrong shield. Also, did you roll for my chance at Sealing Dark Druid B? (I'm presuming a roll of DAMAGE is what qualifies as someone "attacking" Lind.) Lind continues to slice away with the Bifrost blades, first twice at Dark Druid B, front row, then twice at Dark Druid D, same row.
  5. OoC: You forgot Lind. I should probably go before Pretzel, because of Black Knight's nasty technique of deflecting damage down the line. At 190 defense, he's best equipped to tank that, unlike Kiray in the last one. I re-checked the specials of the enemies I'm targeting, and neither will affect the party much differently if triggered at the beginning, rather than at the near end, so that souldn't be a problem. Lind's effects need to be changed to those of the Shield of the Silent Knight, also.
  6. "Good call on the fairies...We need people on Dark Druid C and D - currently, they have no one attacking them."
  7. "Couple of points: Bifrost Blades are ice, so I could be helping on the Golems; also, the main animals that aren't being targeted are the flying fungi, and those blades aren't ranged - meaning someone's going to have to target them if I don't." The Black Knight nodded his thanks, and, accepting the Blades, he then proceeded to attack Spore Hound C from the front row, and Dark Druid B, also from the front row. "Don't forget about the fairies..."
  8. "We need to get Dark Druid D down as quickly as possibly...our efforts will just be wasted, otherwise. I'm going to attack Rot Golem A from the front row, with Gladius - and if Karie hastens us - then Winged Fungal Flier A with my Wind Spitter's Deck, from the back row." OoC: Dark Druid D should primarily be targeted by Lucky heroes - that special could be a pain, otherwise.
  9. Excellent work! One note:
  10. I like the strong, industrial feeling the front of the tank projects(although I might try and find a solution where the top two layers flow together a little more naturally EDIT: Eh. Depends on the angle. ), but you might want to remove the wheel on each side that's directly in front of a hatch - your minifigs are going to have an awkward time climbing over it!
  11. Whelp, this is brilliant. Any chance of an .lfx? I'm curious to see how you pulled off that curve in the center building. Really nice, by the way - one of the most original designs I've ever seen in here. I assume all of the "printed" tiles on the pharmacy are actually custom decals?
  12. "She has a camera that transmogrifies monsters...into playing cards." "I'm up for your plan, or alternatively, just a good old-fashioned frontal assault - which, is what we'll be doing anyway if they see through your plan." "Well said, paladin." "Do we have any plan in case the Fae One turns out to be in league somehow with Rosier? That wouldn't seem to fall in line with what I've heard of..it, but then again, this is a day filled with the unexpected."
  13. "Kind of hard to forget someone like her - whatever happened to her, anyway? Well, it's not that bad a plan - even reminds me of a few I've come up with - except for the fact we're in the Fae. Kind of out the way for most people, even ones so determined as demon worshippers. Also, I'm not sure what good disguises will do most of us, unless you've been holding back a Trickster's Mask of the Demon Worshipper - it was in Eubric they were keeping an eye out for us, not here. But I'm good with whatever." He nodded at the fairy. "I'm ready to head out, on your mark."
  14. Lind looked squarely back at Karie. "Because that's what heroes do." "Either of you are welcome to my Ruby. And does anyone want more Remedies? That fight gave us quite a surplus..." "Thank you."
  15. Lind keeps point, alongside Benji. "Looks like this was once a pretty nice place, this - just rather under the weather, right now."
  16. "Will do. It's kind of a funny story, actually. I came back to Heroica about two weeks ago, by our time - but business was horribly slow at the Hall, so I thought I'd slip down into the sewers for a bit of freelance work, regarding local Phlegmen. Came up early this afternoon, only to find out the whole town had gone crazy - the Hall disbanded, the Watch stopping people in the street - I had to duck into a local bar, just to avoid them. Luckily, I ran into everyone else just leaving, else I don't know what could have happened. The craziest part? The whole time I was down there, I could have died and not even understood what was happening to me. We used to be covered by the Nornalis...now we aren't. I'm genuinely worried for any heroes that didn't get the message to stay clear of danger...at least some of them must be using their former powers to 'live on the edge'... Can't deny that it's all odd, very odd - and I'd never pin the Union, and especially the Shadeaux, to be up to the tricks they're both accused of." He shrugged. "Honestly, it all feels less like 'thread of time'...and more like end of time. Like we're observers to the very end of something great." He shrugged again.
  17. Most forums have introduction themes. Sometimes, a warm and friendly welcome is what gives people the courage to stay and put their work up for public inspection. Eurobricks is a privately owned forum, that survives through ads. Each search uses data, and data costs money. Also, probably something to do with limiting bots. I don't notice the change, personally - I'm afraid this is very much YMMV. I've never observed this effect on Eurobricks - although, admittedly, I don't spend too much time interacting with any of the contests. This actually gives me an idea...though I have absolutely no idea how to act on it.
  18. Those RPGs are highly tied to the communities of people that use them, and people specifically looking up those specific themes for the first time are the exact sort of people who might want to join those sorts of communities. Dragging them away to some other part of the site will result in people missing them, because they have no idea they're supposed to navigate somewhere else, or even that they want to navigate somewhere else to see, etc., etc. If they're just going to get locked, subsections work just fine. If twenty-five forums - not actually that many, and pretty well organized, too - are too many - increasing that number isn't going to help. Subsections work fine, and don't fill up the main page with a bunch of games people can't play.
  19. Lind noticed the glance, but didn't instantly respond. He supposed, perhaps, it wasn't the peak of politeness, to use a Magic Shovel without asking - not that anyone else had ever taken any offense - but if it truly offended the fairies so much so as to tell him, he would cheerfully stop. And if the former Beast Warrior was mad over the loot remark...well, poor heroes had to make do with what they could get. He had never had any connection to the fae, and he had only ever met one fairy - one who had gone out of her way to complain at him over his Netherwings. To him, this was just another faceless location - it wasn't quite reasonable to expect more from him than a reasonable politeness. Beyond any loot payment he might get from saving it, he had no investment at all in the place. That being said...that fairy did seem rather...what was a polite way of putting it? Certainly not 'touchy'. Perhaps...'excitable'? Maybe they did things differently in the Fae. Maybe the standard of 'reasonable politeness' here was measured differently than in the other dimension. Maybe he should be watching his own actions as much as he had Throlar's. Either way, it would be better to try and head off any problems before they happened... Picking up his pack, he stopped digging, and approached Flare. Reaching into his bag(making sure to take it from his own stash, instead of the earlier pickings), he pulled out a bottle. "Hey. You look thirsty. Would a refreshing Remedy help?" OoC: So, are fairies and elves related? Or does Benji just feel a connection to them, due to both races being highly magical?
  20. "From yourselves...?! That...is truly awful. Do you know if any are being held...or 'being used'...at this Tower?" Lind watched Haverti's light display. "That is as beautiful as the other is terrible. Tell me - how large can you make those? They could possibly make a very useful distraction, if they were as big as a human - perhaps even give us a chance to enter unseen." "Wrong. Very good. Think of the loot!" He looked around. "Although very bad, obviously, upon the poor Fae..." "Then it seems everything directs us toward the Seelie Tower." Lind stretched, "Till tomorrow, gentlemen and ladies." Walking a little ways away from the group, he casually used his Magic Shovel to dig a comfortable spot for his bedroll. It's the Fae, after all, never know what you might find...although that tower would probably have better options, assuming he could find a private moment...
  21. "I can't remember the exact properties, but I believe fairies derive a great deal of their power from it? And from what these fine folks just told us, I believe it was a source of power for their land, once upon a era - and it seems to be tangled up - if not directly determining - in how quickly time passes, here in the Fae?" The Black Knight shrugged. These were not matters he had ever studied in anything like detail. "A great tragedy, to be sure..." Lind nodded sympathetically. "Do you have any idea what's removing it's power?" "...It might have helped something if you'd have shared some of this "all that was forseen" with someone, instead of just letting it all come raining down without any warning..." The Munchkin shrugged. "It was a sad one...but a great education in the living."
  22. OoC: Should I add "Throwing his voice" to Lind's ever-growing list of surprise abilities?
  23. "Rather." Lind waved away another gust of pollen. "So, did Grogsmas come early, or do you have a bit of a pollen problem? We can relate, there's a terrible arbormancer strike in Eubric someone really needs to do something about. "
  24. "...What she said." The Black Knight frowned, coughed, and politely nudged the Dwarf. "Careful. That could just be the way they talk around here. I once lost two good friends because I'd never heard of a Charisian accent before...it's dangerous to assume things."
