  1. From his disheveled look, I vote either "Captain Rumbeard," or "Captain Grogbeard."
  2. I'd move that torsos that show pink flesh(like a majority of the ones from PotC), are allowed, but headpieces and hands(unless the builder's purism prevents them from switching out hands) should only be yellow. Of course, if we wanted a reason why we have fleshies, Zonians are portrayed in the Jim Spaceborn comics as being light-skinned, not yellow - we could have GotBS set on Zonia pre-Industrial Revolution...
  3. "Yes, let us. The last thing we need, is to have to be calming the sheep down while simultaneously engaging these beings."
  4. "Any strange experiences they've had that seemed to happen in a time relative to the raiding. Strange sounds, sights, any memories that they might be able to share - especially memories that they don't have to share. There have been...occasions with other magical beings, after which those who were caught in the middle couldn't remember what had occurred. These very well may be different magical beings, but we need to find out, if at all possible, if they aren't, so we can at least try to avoid having that happen.
  5. That is beautiful. Words fail to describe it further. Excellent minifigs, brilliant buildings*, and a perfect air of port. Beautiful, sir, beautiful! *Would it be alright if someday I possibly borrowed some of the idea you have there with the tavern? I especially love how the statue is holding a classic Yellow goblet - it gives it a very Classic air, while still using modern parts.
  6. Yellow printing on a red background can darken to more of an orange, or it might just be a poor first run.
  7. Temporary battle end dialog bit for #105:
  8. I was specifically thinking of him as Bertie Wooster, but Blackadder would work too.
  9. I've personally always pictured Guts as acting and looking exactly like Vin Diesel. That could just be me, though...
  10. I picture him as sort of a .
  11. In his more 'normal' moments, I picture his voice sounding a bit like my voice, just a little deeper, with my manner of speaking(think Jay Baruchel), and in his more 'serious' moments, (e.g., almost all the time now that he's a Black Knights, sans the joke about line dancing), his voice drops to more of a Hugh Jackman. If an actual ending is written, I'd love to help out with the writing of it.
  12. If the quest does end up being cancelled, could I submit for consideration a brief ending(not the real ending, more of a joke placeholder), to explain the cancellation?
  13. Seconded heartily. Every time I try to make changes to my signature, everything jumps around, and any attempts to fix it almost always make it worse. Also, while Endgame is away, here's some temporary dialogue for #105: "Fëär më, änd mÿ mästër plän! Whïch ïs sö mästërful, thät ëvën ïn thë üttër dëfëät öf mÿsëlf änd mÿ mästër plän, thät ït ïs stïll äll ä pärt öf my mästër plän! Änd äll pössïblë öutcömës, ëvën the blätënt önës Ï mïss, änd thë hëroës sëë änd takë ädväntägë öf, lëäd tö thë süccëss öf mÿ mästër plän äs wëll!"
  14. "I believe that will do quite well, especially with having the Mystic as one of the interviews. Little as what I've seen exhibited of her skill with talking, and more importantly, with the manner of talking, has been, I still have privately remarked to myself more than once that her manner would do credit to a long-trained Paladin, much more to one trained instead of the skills of the Mystic. I would, however, like to repeat that if there is time after all the interviews are placed, I would like to speak for a moment with the sheep myself, using Master Siercon's hood*. Also, we should determine with which party the...exuberant fighter will be with during all of this. If she goes with us, the villagers might feel more secure in having someone familiar nearby, but that also goes the other way - her presence might make them fear to reveal anything, fearing future repeat and ridicule. I am not sure what effect she might have upon the sheep, if there is one..." The Black Knight waited to see what the other party members' thoughts were. *OoC: More for comedy purposes, than anything - I have a bit of RP specifically in mind...
  15. Lowering his voice, the Black Knight turned to the rest of the party. "I believe that we should first ask a few questions of the local tribesmen - perhaps one or more of them may have more information than perhaps they've shared. " "Magic beings, which they almost certainly are," he said with a note of Intimidation in his voice, which quickly faded away, "Have a tendency to be rather...unsettling, and can occasionally cause situations that may seem...extraordinary, to the common viewer." "A few may perhaps have experienced more than they have freely shared," he repeated, "And if they have, I want to know their secrets." "After that, I believe we should investigate the sheep, to see if they can share any secrets. For the duration of that, I will probably need to borrow your extremely attractive hood for a moment, Master Mage, as I have a few questions that would be better asked directly, than through a translator." The Black Knight turned towards the gnome specifically. "According to popular stereotype, people of your race have a...sort of brilliancy, for minor mechanical workings. Would it be possible to create some sort of simple timer for an incendiary device?" He turned towards the Battle Mage again. "I was thinking, if we could have your Cataclysm Bomb rigged out with such a device prior to any conflict, perhaps(if all else failed), we could lob into the bea-Being!, the magic being, that is attacking the sheep, we could lob it into the magic being, and it might be sucked u-it might be consumed, it might be consumed by it, and, well...there's the end of your magic being. Which is what it is."
  16. The Black Knight bowed respectfully. "I take this promise onto myself. Your daughter shall pass over the door lintel again ."
  17. Okay, I see the difference now. It was nearly in the right territory, but not quite... And thus, the job trait of Intimidating Diplomacy was inspired... I'm trying to play him as sort of an anti-paladin. He's not tyrannical, he just takes the more direct path to a goal. With the use of Intimidation, I was trying to be more of the 'smiling politician with a hidden agenda,' than of the usual frightening fallen knight. It's going to be interesting playing him in later quests, because it's going to seem as if he has radical mood swings, when in fact it's just that his mood and demeanor changes based on the situation and how it relates to him or the background/responsibilities he comes from.
  18. I know - I was trying to use it subtly, by having Lind speak as if something was certain, forcing people to either challenge him or be gently intimidated into agreeing with it.
  19. I know - I was imagining a certain black orb of power as I read the description... Ah, well, I doubt Rogue->Black Knight would be accepted, even if the req. were a bit looser. And, #122 fits Lind better - although the Intimidation mixup somewhat spoiled the vibe I was trying for...
  20. That's from the Insectoids line. It's missing the trans-yellow green covering. You'd press one of the buttons, and it would flash and make a buzzing noise.
  21. "Well, I hardly see how we could say no to such a reasonable request," said the Black Knight, sounding almost(but not quite), bemused at her excitement. "Before someone inevitably suggests it, I would like to register my vote against trying to commune with them through the power of synchronized line dancing..." "Fascinating. I must remember to ask you later about the details..."
  22. Full agreement, and then some. I especially like the use of tan teeth for tips. Actually, the difference in size is one of the things I especially like about Robert's spider, seeing as how real life spiders often(I'm having trouble thinking of any that don't) have legs and thoraxes that are significantly larger than their abdomen. The magenta is a bit different, but I like it in addition to Waterbrick's color scheme. It gives it a little bit more character. Of course, for the character that he's been so far, the darker pallet of Waterbrick's versin is probably more appropriate.
  23. I could attempt to dissect out and apart the flaws in your logos*, and the misrepresentations of the merits of familial domicile tutelage that you have brilliantly crafted in this electric ephistle, but Cronus suggests that words from such a inconsequential being as mine self are below the consideration of such a sophomoric revolutionary. So, I will merely suggest that you show the postings relating to your brave plebian defiance of the societal pressures of the opressive Eurobricks moderator bourgeoisie to your mother**, as a token of how you have excelled*** at putting the lessons she has taught you into public practice and exhibition. *Or lack thereof. **Or father. ***Sarcasm? Who could possibly take my laudatory magniloquence to be sarcastic? You suggest that my words hint of bombast? Fie, upon thee!
