Anyway here's a link where Greg confirms they decided to end BIONICLE in 2008. https://community.lego.com/t5/LEGO-General/Chat-with-Greg-Farshtey/td-p/6605180/page/289 Screen bonus:

I have to correct you on that one: LEGO decided to put BIONICLE to sleep in 2008.

Is it safe to assume that LEGO tried to "contain" BIONICLE in order to give more space for future lines in the middle of the 00's? Like, they were saying to themselves " we must try something different than Bonkles, let's play dirt and do an undesputed bad decision capable of giving space on the market". A bit of a stretch but hey, totally sounds like that. Also, Bohrok Kal were amongst the worst decision the LEGO Group ever made in this century, at least as long as the constraction area is concerned (except Galidor, of course).

Let's talk about the real problem. Far less mask than 2001 and NO MASK PACKS

I meant year 1, my mistake. Ninjago wave 1 had 13 sets too.

Didn't Ninjago have 16 sets in wave 1? 18 are A LOT, perhaps LEGO'S biggest launch ever.

Great! It's always nice to hear a Bionicle coming back to its owner.

Seeing printed something widely known (but never explicitly stated before) is always a pleasure. Besides we know nothing about a comparison between Ninjago year 1 and BIONICLE 2002, the year we all know was the best selling for the line.

In other news, the leaked catalogue confirmed BIONICLE as the best selling IP from LEGO! Yay!

Or maybe, since this is an American forum, a lone European is less frightening than a Russian community. [uSER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST]

The Russian community trolls you and you're all like "no problem mate :-)", and when a poor dago like me yells "check Serebii!!!" just for giggles he gets warned by the forum moderator. That makes me really sad. Anyway, those scans look awesome.

Species name more like in Piraka, Barraki, Rahkshi, Bohrok etc. The way they were sold, to be more clear. This means we also had RoodaKa, SidoraaK, NidhiKi, BrutaKa, IrnaKK... Oh crap, voiceless velar sounds are really loved by LEGO.

They didn't teach you at school what a species is, did they?

> the spiders clearly look like skulls > they teach you in fourth grade what a skull is > still pretend kids are too innocent for that word Neo Latin countries, you never disappoint me.

Kill la Kill seems to confirm this. Something nobody mentioned: in Europe the sets will use English names outside of the UK, because they make just one kind of package (in Italy we had Invasion from below, not "Invasione dal basso"). Do you think this will generate confusion in the buyers? Toa Tahu was a thing, Protector of Fire is a far harder deal for the average Italian/French/German kid. They'll be like "what does all of this gibberish mean?"

So, if we strongly support canisters could LEGO find a cheaper way to make them?

We've become a community so small that in order to be trolled we need to do that ourselves.

I seriously hope this is gonna be a reboot. We know almost for sure that the story will be far easier overall, in an attempt to avoid all the mistakes the old storyline made. So why "ruining" a story that more or less had a satisfying ending? What happened in the old BIONICLE should stay there without any further change: I really liked the old story, and I find it had a strong consistence throughout its whole run. Beginning from the style of the sets themselves (CCBS Vs pins&axles) this BIONICLE will be different from the old, at least give us different stories too.
