You know, there's this idiom where I live (Italy) that says "Io so' io, e voi nun siete un c_zzo", which translated means "I am who I am, and you're nothing" (nothing should be translated in a much more vulgar word). The same applies for us: we're the constraction fanbase, and anybody else disdaining our favourite theme has an opinion of the same value as the dead body of a fly.

A clamorous boob from LEGO's side, but we know this Friday is gonna be an awesome day :D

Does LEGO Group pay you as a sort of commercial in disguise? Just joking :P Personally I've always disliked the bags, they make the sets I buy look more like some kind of food instead of heroic robots ready to fight on my carpet. Canisters are soooo charming, even though storing them is a pain in the glass.

Yeah, but during those times the same line (BIONICLE) was produced without interruptions, making it easier to reuse old pieces (e.g. mask of shadows in '08). It seems a little harder for me to see pieces of a discontinued line coming back alongside the theme, buy you may never know

I'm fairly sure classic BIONICLE pieces like Guurahk's staff are just place holders. Remember, LEGO buries unused molds after a while. Those pieces are out of production since... 2009?

The prices are in Euro, for the first time. Most people in this topic keep on forgetting a whole world exists outside the anglosphere >_____>

Although it has already been said, could we keep MLP out of here? It bothers me to see that cartoon mentioned in this corner of the Internet, especially if it begins to steal pages to the discussion. Also, talking about voice actors should be as off topic as talking about a possible vidya. EDIT: just saw how the whole pony stuff has already been buried. Also, MLP has a fairly ambiguous reputation (if you come from 4chan, like me, you should get it). Transformers and Power Rangers are easier brands to refer to.

I'm for the reboot for a very simple reason: different construction style. BIONICLE 2015 is going to use radically different pieces and skeletons from those of '01-'09, so let's say that those are two different universes and that's it.

Favorite Bionicle (or any constraction figure) Titan?
TwistLaw replied to TheGreatSpirit's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Nobody mentioning this guy? In my list he's #3. As many said here, Brutaka is my #1, followed by Takanuva. Roodaka was also a very interesting set, the best use of the Y construction sets like Krekka and Sidorak used. -
Let us not forget the terrible small sets the Rahaga were in 2005. Leftovers Rahkshi heads with some '04 Matoran parts. But in perspective 2005 was a troubled year itself, with fantastic titans, good villains (rahi? so '01) and terrible, TERRIBLE Toa. Turaga could have been a nice addition in bigger sets, but 2004 came only once, sadly.

Anniversary of what? Roodaka's boobies?

And when VBBN is running out of patience, y'know serious paper sheet of teaching is going to happen. On topic, I think a Toa VS Defeneders commercial is very likely. LEGO has changed its way of marketing, and I don't see anymore commercials like Piraka VS Inika, every gang on its own, happening this time around.

One think that bothered me was that in Mahri Nui the matoran villagers were the leaders. This stole the role Turaga were thought for, further confirmation that kids don't like elders but prefer instead ready-to-action characters. Of course this bothers me just because I knew Turaga were scrapped during the storyline due to market reaserches saying they weren't the small set of choice.

Technically BIONICLE itself hasn't been announced yet, so I see no problem in discussing a game in the very same situation.

Couldn't be worded better. What Aanchir pointed could be said about almost anything in LEGO. I mean, LEGO itself is about creativity and the discovery of new ways of doing things.

I'm on a train right now and there's this kid playing with BA Natalie Breeze. While confirming to me how awesome that set was, and also being the first time in my life I see someone else beyond me playing with a Hero Factory figure (how old do I feel right now :'( ), I realised something else: brown and green blend together exceptionally well! I'm really curious to have Lewa in my hands, it's gonna be interesting.

And yet we got gears in 2004 and even in 2005, a year where we didn't get any mask at all. Never say never.

While after almost four years Ninjago may have surpassed BIONICLE, I highly doubt about Legends of Chima. It's a mystery the reason LEGO is so reluctant to make public the sales numbers of its franchises.

Actually we all know the story of BIONICLE being LEGO'S best selling IP. Constraction may be big, if the line representing it is big. HF wasn't, and the whole constraction area lost tons of ground.

I hardly see The Lego Group giving away for the first time NY Comicon tickets to the biggest online fanbase of BIONICLE just for le ebin trolling.

And wasting a golden opportunity to re-introduce LEGO's best selling IP? Sounds hard to happen.

So how was it possible for BIONICLE to get TWO waves in 2002 when the line was supposed to end in 2001?
-
Sure, but do you really think LEGO will ever consider to bring it back? Genuine question. They could alternate cycles of BIONICLE with shorter runs of HF.
-
So, how will you deal with the end of Hero Factory? By now we have almost every winter leak, and HF is nowhere to be seen, further confirmation of the return of an old theme we all know (and love ).
