171D Hello all! I said in my last small MOC, I'd probably do another MOC, so I decided to make a ship this time, a Gunboat. It took me almost 4 hours (mostly finding and digging out parts), i'd say remove all the finding time, it took me about 20 minutes to construct, maybe 25 minutes (I did a few designs, and picked the one I liked most). Now, the gunboat itself has 1 small mast, 1 small rotating cannon at the beginning, and 2 swivel guns. The ship can fit about 4-6 minifigures, however I didn't want to take up the whole ship with minifigures, so I manned it with 3 minifigures in the 3 main posts. I myself am pretty proud of my build, I mean, I just built it with limited parts, and the way I thought a gunship should look like. I originally constructed a small grey cannon to go at the front, but it was a little bit too big, so I added a smaller rotating cannon that looks a lot like a swivel gun Alright, let's get started. Gun1 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Side view of the ship. Quite small, but it is a Gunboat Gun2 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr The bow of the ship. A redcoat manning the frontal cannon, and a Royal Navy gunner manning one of the two swivels. As you can see, I've given those new ugly blasters a use! They make great swivels, firing ones, too. Gun3 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Gun4 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Overview of the ship. You can see a bit of the crows nest. Gun5 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Other side of the ship. It does appear that there is a bit of dirt of that piece. Cleaning time Gun6 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr A simple, small stern to the gunboat. Gun7 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr You can really see everything that's going on in the ship in this pic. Gun8 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr At the wheel of the ship, a British Midshipman pilots the small ship. Gun9 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Lastly a view of the whole ship and the crows nest. Let it sail to bring glory to the Redcoats, and justice to the seas. Hope you've enjoyed! Please tell me what you think of my Gunboat! Have a nice day.

Lego Star Wars Rebels sets partly taking over?
James Wellington replied to James Wellington's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Oh? I was not aware that there would be ANY Episode 7 sets this year. And some possibly in September? Now I'm VERY excited. And, I really want the Imperial Assault Carrier, too, and that Shuttle Tydirium, Flash Speeder, and now Episode 7 sets? My wallet's going to be empty by the end of this -
March's Double VIP- What are you buying?
James Wellington replied to TheFuzz's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'll buy some of the new Pirates sets, and probably the Lego Star Wars Shadow Trooper battle pack, because i've been meaning to get that for a while. -

Alright, glad to hear, I guess. -
Lego Star Wars Rebels sets partly taking over?
James Wellington replied to James Wellington's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You all make fair points, perhaps I was overreacting a bit by starting this topic, but I sort of wanted to see what the other Lego Star Wars fans thought of this. "Partly raking over" perhaps was not the best phrase to use. I even somewhat like Rebels (bringing a better selection of Imperials, vehicles and minifigures). Maybe it was just that I wanted a few more OT sets. -

Perhaps they are a lot more kid friendly, and even a lot more happy. I do like their Empire sets, just not some of the other sets and characters. -
Lego Star Wars Rebels sets partly taking over?
James Wellington replied to James Wellington's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You make a very fair point. Perhaps I was overreacting a bit, but I would like to see some more Original Trilogy sets out there. I'm glad that Rebels can collect some new Star Wars, and Lego Star Wars fans at that. I actually like the ships, most Imperials, some of the Rebel Characters, etc. I look forward for the Imperial Assault Carrier to come out in Summer 2015, probably the first of second set I'll be getting in fact. -

Agreed. Real pics will be really helpful, and then I will start to make a little list in my mind what I'm getting first, what I'm not getting, what I might save for another time, etc. I'm really excited for the Imperial Assault Carrier, Flash Speeder and Shuttle Tydirium. -
Hello all. Now the last of the Clone Wars sets and characters are dying off since the series was cancelled a while back, and I when I go to the Lego Store, I see a bunch of Star Wars Rebels sets. We've all seen them. "The Ghost", The Wookie Gunship, TIE Advanced Prototype, AT-DP, etc. I find that they are taking up lots of the Star Wars sets, especially the Summer 2015 sets. Assuming they have the same number of sets as Winter, or a little bit more/less, so far only 4 sets are the 6 movies (not counting the advent calendar), and 2 of those are from Episode 1. It is said that the rest may be Star Wars Rebels. Now, maybe we just don't have enough information on the Summer 2015 sets, and maybe it's just my opinion that they're "partly taking over", don't get me wrong, it will defiantly never take over, but what I'm saying is that I see a lot more SW Rebels sets on the shelves. And I feel that SW Rebels is quite a kid's show, which is great, but I felt it wasn't nearly as good as the Clone Wars, and makes most of it's characters, and especially the Empire look like fools. I don't like most of the SW Rebels Characters, but everyone has their own opinion. I've been buying the sets lately for the Imperials (even though I don't like "the inquisitor", and their Stormtroopers look a bit strange). I'm honestly quite sad that the Clone Wars was succeeded by Rebels, because SW The Clone Wars could be viewed by all, and I feel that Rebels is really aimed at young children. And that's great, getting some kids into Star Wars at young ages, but it may not be the best thing for the older Star Wars, and Lego Star Wars fans. But finally I feel that Lego Star Wars has really shifted (and is still shifting) from the original three, and even the newer ones, to series like Rebels. And that makes me a little bit sad. I mean, Star Wars Rebels won't last forever, and will loose most of the attention when Episode 7 and Episode 7 sets come out in 2016, but Star Wars and Lego Star Wars is now changing. Maybe it's just me, and that I want to see more Original Trilogy sets. Maybe I'm just overreacting ? I want to hear what you guys have to say about this. *Note* Please do not get me wrong, I'm exited for some of the new Rebels sets, and Imperials, I just feel they're taking up the shelves a bit. Thanks for reading, please tell me what you think about this.

Brethren of the Brick Seas?
James Wellington replied to Admiral Croissant's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Is this thing going anywhere? I'd love to do something like this, already being a Shadow of Nar Eurbrikka active member. I have a big Redcoat and Royal Navy and Pirate collection, and I'd love to contribute to this. However, the question is, is this idea dead, or dying, or is this still being planned? I'm rather confused. -
Some sets could use more work, and there could be a bit more selection with some themes, and I do find now some lego sets are a bit overpriced, but it is defiantly not dying. However, I'm glad this was brought up because LEGO could do a bit better on some sets and even themes. But, sets have gotten better. I just bought a Lego Star Wars TIE Advanced Fighter, and I just compared it to some of the past TIE Fighters, and I just completely looked how nicely done it was, and just how far the minifigures designs and pattens and prints have come since the minifigures were first introduced. Lego is not dying, but getting better. Sure, there are a few flaws, but nothing close to bringing the company nor the products to death.

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
James Wellington replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Understood. No more spoilers from me. To be honest, I don't even like Rebels much. I only want the Imperial figs and ships/vehicles. Hey, even if it's repeated, at least we're finding these videos. I'm really happy the pics are starting to come out. Maybe some clear pics will come out soon. -

It sort of does. We were talking about the SW Rebels Imperial officers. One comes in the Imperial Assault Carrier (not the same guy, I don't think). -

I saw it. Poor officers, although they were kind of annoying. Anyway, can't wait until that ship comes out. -

Now I'm defiantly getting it. It looks amazing. And I don't even like SW Rebels that much. Defiantly first or second on my list. I only get the Rebels sets for the ships/walkers and Imperials -

Kenobi looked good with the capes, yet I still feel this "newness" of the new Ben Kenobi with robes. He's very well printed, and I like the new face. However, I grew up with most of the Jedi with capes. Maybe it's loosing it's "jedi-ness" for "newness" I'm sort of tied with both. -
What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
James Wellington replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Just got the TIE Advanced Prototype (about 3 weeks ago) and AT-DP one week ago. I don't personally like the Inquisitor, nor most of the Star Wars Rebels characters, so I just make the TIE Pilot drive the ship. I also like the ISB (Imperial Security Bureau), so although I don't like that "Agent Kallus" guy, he's still part of the ISB, so I still sort of like him. I may take off his head and helmet and replace it with a Imperial crewman face and a black kepi or just normal hair. I don't mind the officer in the Tie Advanced Prototype set except for the strange symbol on his kepi. Rebels sets bring their pros and cons. -
The mini Star Destroyer looks so cute . They both look great. Good job!

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
James Wellington replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Or perhaps right after. I mean, maybe those versions are perfect for a Battlepack, but we do need new Royal Guards now. I mean, not many opportunities come to get these guys (one set right now, another coming out shortly, and hardly any in the past), so we may not get to see the updated version of these guys until 2016-17 IF they even update them. I really hope like some people have said that this is just a almost-complete rough copy, and perhaps the Royal Guards will be changed, but sadly, I don't think that's what's happening. But it could be possible. -
Greetings all! You may have seen me around Eurobricks, mostly in Star Wars. I've been trying to expand my interests and LEGO work lately, and because I like Star Wars so much, and Sci-Fi is so close to Star Wars, and basically is Star Wars, I decided to get some parts, get some of my aliens, space troopers and lasers and make a small MOC. I quite like my design of my small Drone. It can be used for spying, combat and exploration. Alright, lets get to it. Here is Space Troopers Drone "Delta Protector V". Excuse the name at the top for being misspelled. SpaceDrone1 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Here's a view of the Drone. A small thing at the top to receive orders and commands. A big red eye and two side scanners to have maximum seeing ability, 4 mini side lasers, and one big rotating laser at it's bottom (hard to land it ) SpaceDrone2 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Basically same picture but a bit closer and a maintenance crewman working on some minor damages and space troopers and officers in the background SpaceDrone3 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr A view of the back of it. SpaceDrone5 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr The Drone's main gun in action. A small firefight with a hostile alien life form. (excuse the connector, imagine it not there) SpaceDrone6 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Two of it's four smaller lasers engage the hostile alien at close range, a Space Officer also comes in to aid. SpaceDrone7 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr A closeup of it's firing skills and a sort of side view of the thing. SpaceDrone8 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Frontal firing view. SpaceDrone9 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr The Delta Protector V Drone saves the day! I hope you liked it, please comment, tell me what you think, it helps me to better preform next time and tells me if you like it or not. Please add any suggestions for the Drone (parts to add on, take off, etc). Maybe I'll create some more space stuff? Thanks for viewing!
