  1. Thank you. Thank you! I will try to implement a door/gate one of these days. My artillery may not be the best, but if the bluecoats hit the fort head on, well... their uniforms may be red after the attack As far as expanding, I may try to expand the left side of the fort, add a rotating cannon post, and a tower of some sort. Thank you all for your suggestions and comments. I will strive to make other projects better, and to expand/update this one.
  2. Thank you. Yes, I do have all the phases of redcoats, and I'm very happy about that. However, sadly I don't have any classic bluecoats I will keep building Hopefully, I'll make an even bigger fort next time. Thanks a lot!
  3. Hello all! I've been building, rebuilding and adding to this build for quite a while. I built this fort because I recently got some of the new bluecoat sets, and I got the Bluecoat fort, and I thought it was a bit unfair for my Redcoats for not having a fort at all. So I made one. I would've posted this MOC sooner, but due to lack of water pieces, the MOC wasn't complete. Yesterday, I got enough water pieces to fill up the ocean part of the MOC. The Fort is not based off of anything really, I didn't use any pictures to build it, I sort of just built it. *Note* Although I'm posting it as complete, I'd really like some further suggestions, and the chances are I will add to the fort as I get more Bricks, maybe even expanding it or something. So if you have any suggestions/comments or even criticism, PLEASE share it. This is my first fort, and my 3rd Pirate MOC. Now, let's see the fort. Here is Fort Point Terran. Fort1 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Here is the front view of the fort. Do note, in some pictures the lighting may be a bit strange so please, forgive me. We have the front of the small fort, along with some rock the fort was built into. Off to the left, we see the Governor's rowboat arriving. Fort2 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr A close-up of the rocks. A fort's officer, and one of my favourite redcoat awaits the Admiral. Fort3 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr The back of the fort. The Fort's only cannons are at the back. I think it looks pretty good. Fort4 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr "The Governor's arrival". Here's a good look at the water. A fair mix of clear, dark and light blue bricks. Fort5 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr The left side of the fort. A parrot looks around, well sitting on the fort's wall. A bit more of the rocky wall, only a bit lighter. Fort6 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Okay, I don't see how the men can do this everyday. A super small space, with the fort's ammunition supply, cannons, soldiers, small "jail" and the Commander's table. Fort7 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Another view. Fort8 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Lastly, the overview of the fort. My personal favourite picture that depicts the fort, It shows the whole interior. Well, I've hope you've enjoyed. I will continue building forts, ships and vignettes for pirates. Please, tell me what you think, i'd love to know how to fix/update or expand the fort, or just see you opinion. Thanks for reading!
  4. Tricorn, however do note the minifigures are named "Bluecoat Sergeants" and they are not officers, however, next to the Governor and Admiral I guess they'd be the closest to an officer so far in lego pirates. I guess you could call them officers if you wanted, though. They're certainly not soldiers. Anyway, Tricorn looks better, however, hair still looks good.
  5. It looks "okay" to me. I personally don't 100% like it, but I guess it could work if you/someone had nothing else or no green torsos. Hmm..
  6. A bluecoat flagship! Yes please. Then the bluecoats would get a fair (well maybe more un-fair for the pirates ) fight against the pirate ship. It could be like the last flagship, only with bluecoats. 4 Bluecoat soldiers, 1 sergeant/officer, Governor, Governor's Daughter, Pirate Captain, regular pirate. And like it could be all big and pretty and... Wow! I just hope LEGO makes one.
  7. I agree. We just need to take all these ideas from everyone as possible, and shove it into the bigger idea-The Brethren of Brick Seas. We have some things laid down, we just need to generate and take all of the ideas, set them down, and smoothen it out as we go.
  8. Congratulations Phred! I wish you the best with your new position.
  9. That's exactly what i'd like to know.
  10. Another great idea! I love this. The "Fountain of Doom" kind of reminds me of The Black Pearl's crew in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. They found the treasure, got greedy and were cursed. Only a bit different. I really hope some of these ideas come to life when BoBS comes out.
  11. You know what, I like that idea! But only if they can't leave. I know for one thing, my men will never go there We could have sea monsters near the island, and maybe a bunch of long amazon-like rivers on there to explore on, and were a doomed sailor might see a ghost ship, or a band of skeleton pirates, or a mysterious voo-doo island group that believe "outsiders" should be killed, for they are demons (although they're the ones on the demon island ). And all that. I like this idea, but I think it should only stay at the island, because I want kind of "real-ish" things to happen in the normal world, and those who like the fantasy stuff can just go to the island to do that. Wow. Now I REALLY can't wait for this. Wow.
  12. I agree. The Soldiers Outpost and Soldiers Fort go great together! Just combined the two last week. And, the Treasure Island is the best set that can stay alone. I really loved this line of lego Pirates, I hope they continue it either by more sets, or ending it off with a Bluecoat ship (or both)! It's only fair, the Redcoats and Pirates have gotten a ship, so it's the Bluecoats turn in the first time in a long while.
  13. Wow! Amazing fort. I love the cliffs!
  14. I think some fantasy stuff could be okay, like sea monsters, skeleton pirates, but I disagree with having 'fish people' and chima pirates and some type of made up race and colonial aliens, etc. I also think that the Red vs Blue thing should not be overused, especially because there are also other factions, however, I think Red vs Blue ads a bit of a tradition, a hint Lego Pirates history here on Eurobricks. Eurobricks is certainly one of the main providers of the "Redcoats vs Bluecoats" thing, and we shouldn't just send it away. Factions don't always have to be fighting either, if they're hostile to each other, good, they can have battles, but they can also have silly quests where people only get slightly hurt or something. However, I am sort of a battle person, so I'll add a bit of everything into my freebuilds when this happens. I have a full battalion of redcoats, a Royal Navy to assist them, a handful of Bluecoats, a few Pirates and about 4-5 "Greencoats". And I have a fort mostly built, and I'm going to make a small town for this, and I can't wait!
  15. I personally think we should keep voodoo, and chima out, but keep sea monsters and legends (like skeleton pirates, maybe) in.
  16. I personally like the Flash Speeder, but we don't need another Naboo Fighter or Sith Infiltrator.
  17. W ow...just wow. H ow long did it take you to build this????? A mazing! T he build is SO amazing!!!! ! Amazing work! I am speechless. I am just....speechless. Like.. WHAT? Just wow.
  18. I think I'm going to have to put down a firm budget for Summer 2015. I don't want to break the bank I'll get the sets I want for the June wave, and then save the rest of my money up for TFA sets, and if they're no good (I hope they're good!!) I guess I won't get many of those. And, I still have some pirates sets to get, too. Time to start saving
  19. Ah. Thank you for clearing things up for me. If what you say is right, I have one more thing to look forward to
  20. Like a D2C Pirates set? Maybe a big one? Like the "Imperial Flagship" (last set of the last wave, I think)?
  21. I understand we're not getting any sets this summer, but is there any hope for a few sets in 2016? Or is this the end of the line for the pirates? I mean, I've already gotten three of the sets, and they're good, but nothing compared to the previous Pirate waves. There are only 5 sets to get, 6 including the chess set. I'm a bit bummed out if this is the end of Pirates for now (already).
  22. Wow, you're showing a lot of MOCs. I like your ships a lot! The back kind of looks like a big droid Tri-Fighting in grey. It looks quite well. I guess you really are the "Kuat Drive Yards" of Eurobricks. Not only your name, but the nice ships you post, as well.
  23. Oh, I just noticed the one sided triangular sail. Is it that difficult for LEGO to make a double sided sail? It apparently wasn't in the old days. And what are the sails even made of, now?
  24. I completely agree with Zelda. A basic Senate Building entrance could be a great thing for them to guard, and maybe get one or two of those "Cade Bane's Speeder" sets, and you could have them in front. You could even make it into a display/MOC. Anyway, nice army, Sev.
