Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Yzalirk replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
@robuko - I understand where you're coming at but like I said, I won't be getting things just for GoH and all these other stores seem cheap but once you add up the prices with how much things you get, it's expensive. BrickWarriors and G.I. Bricks seem to be where I'll be spending most money on custom things because I'll need to arms my soldiers (So in BrickWarriors, that's around 13 Armor and 13 weapons) and for G.I. Bricks, that's where I'll be getting guns for my Post-Apoc and Fallout MOCs. As for Saber-Scorpion, that's where I'll be getting decals for the Fallout MOCs. I'll try to spend the least amount of money on minifig parts, (like hair, legs, torsos, heads, arms, and accessories). As for bricks and things, I'll be getting a lot of 2x1 light gray bricks as ell as the 1x1 bricks with the stud on the side and 2x1 tiles. I'll see what I can budget wise though for minifig parts. It seems like the seller I'll be getting from sells fleshy heads for about $2 each which can get expensive if I buy a lot of heads so I'll look around for sellers that mostly sell minifig parts for a bit cheaper if I can. -
Nice MOCs and very nice story, I can't wait to read more. Hopefully the Drow aren't infecting the water they'd been thrown in...

Very nice MOC, I do love the use of the boat pieces (again) as well as the architecture of it. Also, nice use of the sombrero.

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Yzalirk replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
If I'm not busy later today, I'll be placing the orders for my parts and pieces but my budget is about $300 and I'll be spending nearly $90 at places like BrickWarriors, BrickForge, G.I. Brick, and Saber-Scorpion together. Is that bad so far? The rest of the money will be going to a minfig parts and accessories so about around maybe $70 - $90 so I'll probably have about $120 to spend n Bricks so it's not that good. I'll only be buying bricks I know for a fact I'll reuse a lot. So the bulks of them aren't going to be as much as I'd like but they won't be horrible if I build medium-sized MOCs. I may go back and not buy certain things I'd like to though since I'll be buying parts for GoH MOCs, my own Post-Apoc series, and a Fallout series of MOCs. -

Wow, that's looking phenomenal, jaapxaap! -
Very nice MOCs and I love the position of the arms on Aymer (if he has the two swords), that's awesome! How do you do it?
-
Oh, okay. I hardly understand what these "Phase" builds mean, that's why.
-
Very simple MOC that could use more details and maybe some beds or something since it is a barracks. But not bad, maybe add some smaller parts to show small duns or something?

You can do that, don't worry! I'll be doing something like the in the extremely near future with my sig-fig, the one I've been going on about for about a month. -

Okay, I just can't wait though! I'll be placing orders for things in the next few hours or so then I'll have to wait a week or so to show you guys what I get. I didn't meet my budget but I think I can still pull it off though, with what I'll be getting. Then I can surely reveal what I can possibly do. -
Very nice, robuko, and it's very colorful.

BrickWarriors Aug 2014 - New Crossbowmen Items!
Yzalirk replied to Thrash's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I agree. I want to get so much things from them but I'll only be ordering about $30 worth of things since I'll be buying other parts from stores like BrickArms and BrickForge as well LEGO bricks and pieces from BrickLink. But with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up in a few months, they'll probably do some sort of discount or something. -

I'm psyched for this but can people from other guilds, excluding Mitgardia, participate in the challenge? Also, what is the actual challenge? -
Very nice and creative!

That's what I like to here, laddie, Kaliphlin always prevails! You don't have to always build in sand areas. I'd assume along the borders would be more lush so you can do that if you'd like. I think I'll be doing that myself. -

Very nice minifigs and I love the movie Pulp Fiction! -
Very nice MOC, I love it as well as Aliens! As for your crashed UFO, you should have made it your interpretation of the UFO that crashed in Roswell, New Mexico I believe around the 1950's.
