Very nice build! I wish I had the parts and talent to make something as spectacular as this!

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Yzalirk replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
That's basically like my problem - determining how much is too many. I do plan to get a lot more bricks this time around so my limitations may go to 10 "base" soldiers rather than 13. Armors, weapons, and minifig parts factor into that and it becomes costly faster than you expect. I suppose you could re-use the soldier minifigs into other types of soldier like, for example, a Hoplite rather than a Centurion just by switching out a fallen soldier. But it's just odd to explain what happened to the body... And if possible, could I also get a new part to build after I finish my first one? I feel I should contribute more since it'll be a new year and I'd like to start if off by showing builds rather than showing posts. -
Very nice weapons designs!

Thanks, Ska! I did manage to get some building done for my part but December is always hectic for me. It's also good since I plan to be getting a lot of bricks and new minifig stuff to create the legion I've planned to make for a while. Don't worry though, I'm not going to go crazy and get like 50 minifigs, I'm thinking 13, at most, would be best since that's considered a lot of a 64x64 baseplate, especially if those minifigs fight for the same cause! I'll definitely have my part done that you've tasked me with but I'll try my best to get good quality pictures up with my amateur camera. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and get ready for 2015 because we are just a few weeks away! -
[Journey to the Mystic Isles] Ch.III Men Cat. C

Very nice nice ship and the water looks awesome, especially with the different tones. Also, assuming your sig-fig is the one with the hat in this picture, has a very neat captain outfit that just goes so well with the scene that it makes it feel more "believable". -
Beautiful pictures! I really love how you captured the semi-dark tone, but enough to see everything almost perfectly, with the light peering through the window!

Beautiful saloon, I really love how it looks. Great work, vitreolum!

Thanks, Bob, for extending the date to a fantastic one. I now feel relived since I'll be able to add parts I'll be getting around Christmas.

Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Avenger (Imperial Headquarters)

Thanks, LT, for the news. No worries from me now, especially now knowing I'll be able to use new parts to make something badass. I've still been tinkering with different concepts I could do though. -
Option #3 They all look great but #3 is the most appealing and best represents all four guilds, in my honest opinion.

"Hahahaha, no, we do not practice... that! I've read some books a long time ago and I read a book on that. Long story short, people have some odd fantasies. But I'm starting to think maybe a murder took place here? I'm not sure how to explain the odor but maybe the perfume is supposed to cover up the smell of death and since the bed was recently cleaned, maybe the murder took place there? We should be cautious, I'm not feeling so good about our current situation." Salt-Upon-Wounds examines the door. -
Nice minifigures! I really like how the Lava Miner and Southern Dwarf look.

It seems like you don't have a very large collection but it's good that you improvised! I think The Sightless looks really cool, especially with the eye on the breastplate.

Very nice minifigures, I really like the Ranger, the Sand Orc, and the Warrior-For-Hire!

Book II Challenge III Cat. A - Underground Affairs
Yzalirk replied to Garmadon's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice build but I'm just a little concerned with the little tunnel the spy is in. I get the impression the land above it would just collapse on the guy, especially since there doesn't appear to be any supports holding up the land above him, similar to what mine-shafts have. It also doesn't look deep enough, in my opinion.- 31 replies

Beautiful build with a great story and dialogue!

Very nice "creature"! I like how the eyes give it a comical touch, especially on the one with the beefy neck.

"I suppose there is no way out of this but to fight our way out. Very well then, let's kill some of these dirtbags!" Salt-Upon-Wounds attacks the Murkhand A with the Electrical Staff from Back Row. -
Beautiful minifigs, I really like them! My top favorites are definitely the Royal Guard for Kaliphlin, the Dragon Knight for Mitgardia and the two for the Order of the Burning Stag! I have three things to add - Where did you get the torso for the Dragon Knight? Where did you get the torso and legs for the Knight of the Order of the Stag? And the Order of the Stag, in my opinion, would fit very good for Kaliphlin because of the color combinations on them.
