  1. My god Ondra. I started offending a set? Are you kidding me. How can i offend a set? It's just Lego, not a person. You took it personal to me about being silly, but it seems more people here have a problem of being rude to another. A shame, it's just Lego people.
  2. Thanks for your compliments about sounding silly. Let me remind you, an opinion is never silly, it's just an opinion, just respect that. Thank you. Besides that, i like humor and i express that. Futhermore, this topic is all about opinions and speculation. So be more open for it. I know what a BWE is and what mess it can make. I don't like it, you like it, good for you.
  3. Not all flagships have been " big" in the past, but have mainly been a flagship because of functionality and playabilty. The Volvo is new in many aspects and special functions. The BWE has in my opinion no functionality or something to play with instead of a turning wheel. The BWE will be a nice C-Model of the 42042 set. I will give it a try.
  4. We already have the 42042 crane/excavator in 2015/2016. It's hard to beat this set in price, quality and functionality. But now we can "slice" through our Lego bricks with the new Bricked Wheel Elevator. Sorry, i can't talk serious about this set. ;-)
  5. I still doubt the BWE will be the flagship. It just doesn't make sense. Hardly anyone knows about this excavator and who wants a RC Ferris Wheel on tracks? ;-) I will never take Lego serious again if they release this joke as the flagship. Maybe it's fun for a small size set, about 35-50 euro's, something like the 42035 Mining Truck. Kids & Adults love cranes/excavators like the Volvo EW160E. That's flagship worthy and will certainly sell. Maybe the Claas as a 100 euro set. I will buy for sure. :-)
  6. If the BuWeEx will be around 220 euro's then Lego's marketing department is in serious trouble. What kid or adult wants an RC controlled "turning wheel" with no purpose and playability? We already have the 42042 crane. For 110 euro's you get a great crane with lots of functions and playability. I just can't believe they will choose such a lame overpriced buckey wheel excavator as flagship. But hey, i still have my great non-flagship 42042 and 8043. ;-) Still have hope for the EW160E or Claas being the flagship. People want playability and functions. And these two sets could be full of functions.
  7. I hope you're not right about the flagship being the BuWeEx ;-) Really, if you compare it to 42042 Crane, it will have less functions. Maybe it will be RC but besides going fowards/backwards/turning, what's the fun of a turning Bucket Wheel? 8043 will leave the BuWeEx in the dust. And the BuWeEx just looks too much like 42042 crane. Another scenario, maybe (i hope) they cancel BuWeEx and release the Volvo as RC flagship, that would be something! I don't really care about the IP Car, unless it is not an existing car brand. Only then we will see some nice functions. Otherwise we will pay for the brand with the cost of functions. At least, that is what i think.
  8. The 42052 helicopter is a must buy for me, looks great. I hope the 42054 Claas or 42055 Volvo Ew160e will be the 2nd half flagset. I prefer the Volvo. I doubt the 42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator will be the flagship. It would not have much playability or functions, except for destroying your bricks with the bucket wheel. ;-) Kinda lame.
  9. Very nice build, i like the curved style. Do you have some instructions of how you made the 2-speed gearbox?
  10. 1976... and it survived very well.
  11. Lego certainly isn't dying, at least in commercial aspect. Big business, due to all the parents who buy it for their kids, who just play with it for a short while. Lego quality what it used to be, is certainly dying. And the AFOL's will only notice that.
  12. I have posted pictures of decreasing Lego quality in another topic on Eurobricks. It's shocking. I hope many more people are about to complain to Lego and post pictures here. I have minifigs from the 70's/80's and recently checked on them. No cracks in them, and they were still assembled. Also for the bricks, no cracks. But sets from 5 years old, stored in the dark, all have cracks. From 7 new sets, 166 bricks with cracks (Assembled once and put away in Ziplocks). Mainly 1x1 plates, mini-slopes but also 1x1 and 1x2 bricks. Just put two 1x2 bricks on top of each other and you can see the pressure point right away. That's were the crack is gonna be. And it's not about the environment you're living. I'm still in the same house as in the 80's. My new sets all have cracks in them, and some bricks had cracks in them, before assembling a brand new set. Lego used to be super quality. Now we have to use gloves and can't put our sets on the shelf because it causes cracks. Are we gonna accept that? Please post the pictures and let everybody know the current quality of Lego is not acceptable.
  13. Thanks for your info, is the pump in 8455 the newest manual pump available? Good point, didn't think about that issue.
  14. I can use the motor for steering or driving the vehicle. I have some ideas. But is it possible?
  15. Is it possible to install a manual pump here? Does somebody know the part number of the pneumatic pump you have to push manually? Or does the functions work to slow in that way?
  16. Thanks for your advice. Last week i went to Germany and bought the 42043 Arcos... and the 42042 Crane. Still 290 euro's, but so worth it. :-)
  17. Thanks for all your opinions here. I will certainly take all into my decision. Maybe i should wait a few days, to hear how the building experience is with the 42043.
  18. Hello all, I want to get into the new Lego pneumatics and am deciding about the 8110 Unimog or the 42043 Arcos. The 42043 will cost about 180 and a new 8110 about 240 euro's. I like the 8110 visually a lot better than the 42043. But then again, the 42043 has 800 pieces more, but i don't like it's colors and looks. Which set has more (pneumatic) functions and what are your opinions about these sets? Hope to hear from your experiences!
  19. Thanks a lot again for your detailed instructions. Now i get the idea and i won't bother you again about the align tool. ;-) Good weekend!
  20. Sorry to bother you again, but i'm stuck again. :-( I removed all the parts as you said, but the connectors just don't click together. Can you please try again and explain how you solved it this time? 8858 wip.lxf
  21. Many thanks for your quick help and the tip to get the model straight again. Now i can continue. :-)
  22. Hello, I am building the LDD model of the 8858 Rebel Wrecker. However, when i want to connect a technic beam to a connector the align tool doesn't work. Does anybody know how to solve this? And another question, how do i get the truck horizontal again? It's at a different angle right now. I enclosed the LDD file and a screenshot. Thanks a lot in advance!
  23. Thanks for explaining. When the time is there we both own this set, i will have a look at your solution.
  24. Can you please explain further? You mean you block the left or right drivetrain, which will turn the crane? I wonder if the plastic tracks don't slip, which will cause the crane not to turn.
  25. Looking forward to this set. For 1401 pieces the price is very good. It's 114-120 euro's in the Netherlands. Too bad there's isn't a possibility of turning the crane on the tracks. Is there a solution for a third joystick only for steering by using the same motor?
