[M - D10] That's a hard workin' plant-thing.....

[begin Transmission] [Type - Alliance Report] [security - High] [Report from: Vedauwoo (Pilot) {HV-37}] [Location: Spaceport 8 - "Bed for Spaceship," Nar Eubrikka] It cost us most of our credits and 3 astromech droids, but we've secured a small Home in the form of an abandoned Hangar deep in the swamps of Nar Eubrikka. It's actually not far from [REDACTED] which makes supply runs a breeze. It's called "bed for spaceship" in Huttese, but the official Designation was "Hangar 8." The swamps remind me of growing up on Gelgelar...but it's much warmer here... We spent the first few days checking out the surroundings, before bringing the ship down for repairs.... "The Ship" being the new HV-37 Prototype Heavy Starfighter..... We assembled her from the Remnants of an A/SF-01 "B-wing," a burned out half of a V-19 "Torrent" and an old H-60 "Tempest." The twin Slayn & Korpil JZ-5 Fusial Thrust Engine Clusters give her an incredible amount of both power and maneuverability. Needless to say, it's taken a great deal of follow up maintenance to fully integrate the systems of all the donor craft... Not to mention the repairs the Hangar itself needed.... Even with one bad circuit...we were able to get the fuel to flow.... [END TRANSMISSION] ========================================== Thanks for visiting!

Location: D10 - The Hamilton Belt Tags: Vehicle, Land Vehicle, Exploration This morning, we came across a larger rock....one with enough gravity to deploy the MANTIS GV-5 LGEV.... That's "Low Gravity Exploration Vehicle": Klaus got suited up and Verdi put on that weird backpack thing (what is it FOR anyway??) and met me on the surface. For a plant....or whatever he...it?...is, Verdi does his fair share of the work....strange, considering we neither pay nor feed him.... (Klaus) "There's something over there....." (Verdi) *Rustling and crackling sounds* (Klaus) "Over on those rocks.....watching us..." (GV-5) {Checking satellite-drone imagery} (GV-5) {LIFEFORM CONFIRMED} "Great....just what I need....another peepy plant....." ============================================ The Fold ============================================ GV-5 Cockpit GV-5 Worm's eye view: GV-5 Starboard Front: Rear controls: Rear view: Port Rear: Bird's eye view: Port Side: The Asteroid Landscape (and peeper): ========================== Thank you for visiting.....

[SoNE Freebuild 9.1] Some new equipment....
Vedauwoo replied to Vedauwoo's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Thanks so much! I figure the Arms may Evolve over time, as I find better parts combos....But, as it's a "non-traditional" CLL droid, I figured a "custom made in the garage" look would suit it. More to come on the Hangar and Ship....as another Freebuild, I rekon.- 8 replies

[begin Transmission] [Type - Alliance Report] [security - Low] [Report from: Vedauwoo (Pilot) {HV-37}] [Location: Nar Eubrikka] Having arrived too late to assist in the Black Sun Operation, we found an abandoned hangar...somewhat damaged..in a secluded swamp on Nar Eubrikka and we have begun the final upgrades on the HV-37.....after organizing supplies in the Hangar, of course... Luckily, There was an old CLL-8h Binary Loadlifter and an EG-5v Power droid hidden in the debris... The CLL-8h is really a fantastic piece of equipment....just look at it! There is a bad weld on one leg that needs attention.....but other than that...she's a brute! We will transmit some images of the HV-37 once she's up and running.... [End Transmission]

Location: D10 - the Hamilton Belt Tags: Vehicle, Spaceship Our next stop appears to be The *Hamilton Belt* .....sounds like a real winner...."Computer, what are we here for anyway?" "Oooooh, A challenge!" [[Awesomnium]] appears in Gold on the display, along with a rotating purple rock... "Oh, boy....purple rocks...." "So, our mission, is to find some rocks with purple Awesome bits.....How hard can it be?" Just a bunch of junk here...let's adjust course for that Small rock.... Our craft today is the MANTIS GK-143 GFMS. The "GFMS" stands for "Gravity Free Mech Suit" as it does most of the functions of a normal Mech suit.....but with thrusters instead of legs.... And a mighty "sensor package" up front for sniffing out valuable rocks.... She's got a grappling arm on the port side.... And a light and gun arm on the starboard.... The Real Thrill is the 8-pack of Ghirhil V-77 Ion thrusters......"POWER!!!!!!!!!" ....And, Even though I have to wear a space suit to stay alive....the cockpit is suprisingly comfortable and refined, although the Display on the floor ahead of the foot pedals seems very Citroen-like, like it was designed by a french madman......... Overall, a Very satisfying ride....Very "Swooshable indeed......" Oh......., and we found a rock..... ....and on that note, back to the studio.....
