  1. All these named characters, and I believe the corncob, are from LEGO City Adventures....I think. Not sure if it’s strictly online .org if it’s a network TV show as well. That price was quite a hit in the gut. That’s asking way too much...it doesn’t feel like we’re getting $200 worth. It’s definitely a nice set for the most part though. It has some cool elements in there.
  2. Seriously...I think we all could use a magical tent like they had at the Quidditch World Cup... There was also two books with the NES, one for the console, one for the TV. So it could happen that way for this. That seems to be more common for sets that have different “sections” these days. Eh, it’s how they play it. We had a pub in the PotC theme, London Escape(name and all). And we had an unnamed bar is Medieval Market Village, at least in my opinion it is. I don’t know what kind of story they could attach to it, like they did with London Escape where the bar is simply the building they’re driving past on the chase.
  3. This is s cool! Great job with the shaping. That head had to be tricky.
  4. Saving the best for last I reckon. My dad had a saying revolving around a business decision, that turned into an inside joke...any day now. That is very fitting to this discussion. As long as we keep saying “it’s coming this week” soon enough, we’ll be right.
  5. I haven’t noticed anything that I can remember. Even recently with sets I bought.
  6. Well shoot. Went to two Targets this morning(Northern California) and saw nothing...
  7. I agree with this, except for the Christmas Tree. It’s a great town square centerpiece tree. While I don’t MOD sets & would much rather have a definitive set, the Gingerbread House could be turned into a candy store, of a very enthusiastic Christmas lover, pretty easily.
  8. Wow! I love this. As a fan of Mondrian, I find this especially excellent. The colors pop nicely with the black framing.
  9. There is some great piece usage here! The, I believe, dress slopes used as curtains. Along with the mixers. And the map 2x2 tiles, such creative uses all around. Another fantastic build.
  10. Considering the rest of the theme has been delayed, it wouldn’t surprise me if the D2C was as well. Although I don’t believe any other D2C has been delayed...time will tell.
  11. I was at Walmart yesterday morning....it was depressing. Definitely nothing new at mine. Haven’t been to Target recently, but around here they’re better stocked than Walmart. It’s hit or miss. I was surprised the NES took so long to sell out, nearly a day. Meanwhile the Grand Piano sold out in 15 minutes. I’m telling myself it won’t sell out too quickly, but that’s likely because I don’t not exactly have the money for DA right now, on top of the other HP sets.
  12. Way to make an entrance. Both of your cars are very nice builds. I’m not familiar with this car, but it looks great as well. Great lines & shape.
  13. Sept 1st in LEGO stores(others as well), looks to be mid August for Target. Not going to be microscale, the stickers now prove it won’t be.
  14. They do as well. And, conversely, that set has 19 minifigs, 4867 pieces for $300.
  15. Mannequins were counted as minifigs in 10211 Grand Emporium. As for the Gringotts speculation, considering the number of potential buildings were getting & the size Gringotts would be, I’d honestly be okay with Gringotts being omitted if it meant we’d get more details/more substantial build to the other buildings.
  16. Miniland scale Diagon Alley!
  17. Would you say it’s as fragile as.....the binding?
  18. Right?! Having that odd looking Peeves in the first go round, then nothing is quite disappointing. When has any of us ever been disappointed by a long hyped set? They could do exactly that with QQS considering all we see of it is a window.
  19. They are including a fair number of things not from the movies, Scribbulus & Fortesque’s. These sticker sheets are going to drive us even crazier I think. Now we have something more solid to speculate about...but the idea of having kiosks/carts to represent shops only gives more questions. It’s definitely weird that they’ve included presumably Fortesque’s shop as it never showed up in the movie(besides a blink-and-you-miss-it moment). Having his minifig could’ve easily passed as just a patron & nice ester egg. I just want her because she’ll be a fun, bright minifig to have. And I’ll take those any day of the week, no matter who they are.
  20. MC doesn’t have LEGO beat(as subjective as that is). You can’t compare a 200+/- piece dragon in a $30 set to a 1,000+ piece dragon only set that costs probably triple that. We had a fun discussion of dragons while back in the General section with that Drogon set as the star. These sticker leaks has me excited. Sound s like Rita Skeeter is coming after all. Looks like the possibility of having too many buildings, in the sense where it could detract from size. Either way, I am even more ready to buy after seeing those.
  21. It got rebooted...I wanna say in January of this year. Issue 5 came out this week(Wednesday for the States).
  22. We did get Jack Sparrow, a rum drinking pirate. Definitely played for laughs with him. Those movies are PG-13 & Futurama is TV-14, so similar ratings. A bottle of “booze” even comes with the sets, although he’s not depicted on the box art with it.
  23. A lot of cool details. I like the different textures on the roof(it looks to be damage?). I really like the little red brick fence as well. And the bushes too. The scene is great, love the positioning of the motorcycle, it gives a lot of life to the build.
  24. There’s been a number of all kinds of parts recently. Over in Special there’s a Exclusive Parts Index thread & the BaM thread has them scattered about.
  25. I used to(overall, not just HP). Once I hit 300 boxes, I was over it. Some boxes were tough to get rid of, but I just remind myself I have the best part, the set.
