Whoops. I retract my previous statement. Just pretend it says Happy january jerks Day to all LEGO fans!
-
This is by far the best review ever! Wonderful pictures, it really shows the set beautifully. Thanks for those Oky. Way to step up your photography.

And so the madness begins...it's not even january jerks Day yet here...drat. A fun family fact about january jerks Day. Some years ago my father proposed to my mother on such a day. His reasoning for doing so was so he wouldn't forget his anniversary. Brilliant! Ack! I can't edit ?! I just wanted to add I love January jerks day! The one day a year you can be a nerd to everybody without the consequences! Don't be mad, mods. I double post because I care...and because others are spamming it up too.

What does Lego mean by "Hard to find"?
Vindicare replied to Oretreus's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It's exactly what the first post said, a certain retailer exclusive. Take Lukes Landspeeder(2010 or 2011). Those years, and still do, went to TRU 3-4 times a month, and I never once saw this set there. I went to Target occasionally, never saw it there. I did, however see Atlantis 8089 Undersea Explorer at Target, but not TRU. So, the 'Hard To Find' stamp isn't just a gimmick or marketing ploy. -
New to Lego...Let me throw this out there.

I buy sets for collecting purposes and building. It brings joy to me as I build. Since you mentioned the City theme in particular, you could always set up a City layout using official sets. Then, once you bulk up your collection, you can add street baseplates, sidewalks, streetlights, plants, your own buildings, all kinds of things. I like to stick to official sets to make up my town, however. There's nothing wrong with spending $120 for a a set just to look at, try buying 10224 Town Hall($200). Or the other 6 modulars($150 retail). -
I don't have a specific plane, but dark grey, red, and black are always a good color combo.

Yo dawg! That shiz is mad tyte! Ugh, so many red squiggles up there... You really captured that weirdness that is Bosozoku. I think, though, the color is a bit plain for Boso cars.

Ahh! Oky & Jedd, great job guys! You better be careful Oky, I think someones after your title(unofficial) as 'funnies king'.

WOW! Congrats for sure on reaching the first goal.now to wait and see that press release then the unveiled set! Once again, congrats Yaktuu. -
Unbelievable! After seeing all these WIP shots, you're paint jobs are impressive and very clean. You must have the steadiest hands on the planet, your lines are so straight and clean for working in such a small space. The sculpts you create are spot on as well. I can't wait for the next batch!

Architecture Contest: Andrea Palladio's "Villa Rotunda"
Vindicare replied to James Markham's topic in Special LEGO Themes
So many statues! This is definitely one of the closest to the real thing. You really captured the necessary details to the building, minus the roof colors. Great job. -
Architecture Contest: Old Royal Palace (now Greek Parliament)
Vindicare replied to Theo's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow! I like that you added the surrounding area along with the building. The building itself is great, if not a bit basic. Don't get me wrong, everything works and it's looks great. I like the use of the headlight brick as windows in micro builds. Way to stick the details. -
Ooh! I love seeing different layouts. You have plenty of ideas and inspiration here. Great cities.

I thought the Comic Con ones were Batman and Green Lantern?... Was Superman also apart of it? I think that seller is just scamming some uninformed buyer...
-
WOOOOOOOOW! What an awesome bunch of customs. Your painting skill is unbelievable. I love everyone there and is a walk down memory lane for me as well.

Cool figs! It's fun seeing these type of pictures. The color wheel is great.

Salvation of Samurai Terminator
Vindicare replied to Tuminio's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Wow! Love all the details, very creative. They definitely have a Warhammer influence. Great job, Macro Unicorn is awesome! Tomcat, love your sig picture. -
Wow, looking good. I like the placement of the Marina set. I think your decision to use all new bricks is a smart move. The Marina is a great set with great figs. The wetsuit(black/grey/red) torso is one of my top figs. I look forward to seeing this in the flesh. Are you going to end with this, or add houses, businesses and such?
-
This is awesome overload! The exterior of each building is fantastic, while interiors are brilliant. All the details of the businesses are great. I like the fabric rolls on the rack. The row of cheese slopes is a great detail as well. Any chance of getting all three together?
-
This is great! I love the sleepy kid in the bed. Love the whole dio. The furniture is all well done.
-
Hmm...looking good. Except Ock looks a bit different. I finally get Spidey though, so I'm happy. The Avenger poster looks good. If they're in stores already, hopefully TRU has them and is part of their BOGO sale(commercial said all LEGO).

That's not good that she got rid of those accounts. Hopefully that was just a coincidence. My thoughts and prayers aimed at her family.
