sdotcarter replied to DrJB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well lets discuss the machine, I dont have the book so is this video the Excavator? And i found this topic could this be the one? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=76514 -
Mot likely but I coupled mine to two xl's with a "limited slip". Set up like below on all 3 diffs. XL's added like this: Luckily I had purchased 2 unimogs back when so I can build each version while looking at the one previous.

Lego's are electric jobs, and you're building a vehicle. For 2 points: "Universal Electric Vehicle". But for Australia and Africa they are considered Urban Escape Vehicles, I believe. Not the same concept but since you're building with difflocks it could still apply even though it was stated above. -
Andi, Do you have more pictures of this or a brickshelf page I can drool over? Love the red

A mini Unimog with the same cab and bed design as 8110 would be my pick anyways.

Hey guys, A long time lurker here, and had to register because I cant quite wrap my head around something. Im looking to reproduce my jeep wrangler minus the 5 speed transmission. I have the solid axles built, but im looking for a transfer case. 2 hi, a faster speed just by rear wheels along with a driving ring selector for a 4 low. ( 4wd crawling ratio ) My wrangler is equipped with a np231 t-case http://www.thejeep.c...part4/H12-4.gif Is something like this replicable with lego? I try and build first in my head but this particular thought i cant figure out but maybe its simple. Anyways, thanks for having me, and good building. Edit: Power through 1 xl or two l's if that matters
