  1. OK that's just neat. I want it. Now.
  2. Okay, I like the style of the Rally Car. Might lend well in Tiny Turbo. Mid-mounted V8, too. Would have loved to see this as RC, but I reckon there's room to mount two buggy motors on. Hovercraft looks great. Linear actuator ramp, there also seems to be a gantry. Intriguing. I think the problem with the Mack Truck is that LEGO's tires are inherently wide, so they're worth two tires. Frankly I'm more interested in how it would work, though the lorry head looks ace. Somehow there has to be a way to make that yacht float in water. I want it so bad. I want that yacht. The smaller sets are for kids, leave them alone. Big boys get their bigger toys come Nuremberg.
  3. And what was that all about? Are the buildings about the same level as HP Monroth's builds, or close to?
  4. Shanghai Skyline is impressive. I saw some MOCs of the buildings contained in the set, and I'd say the official set is equal to HP Mohnroth's creations, if not directly inspired by it. What's the name of the tallest building shown there, though?
  5. This came up. I guess we can expect a McLaren MCL32 soon.
  6. 75889 I'd assume will have two cars. Could be Porsche (their 919 and new mid-engine 911 RSR, or 919 and 962C), could be a Ferrari F1 lorry (again?), could be Chevy (C7.R and Camaro GT4.R), could be a new manufacturer. 75888 could max out at two cars + small scenery, though a 1-car/playable object is equally possible. I'd say this is a Ford set. I'll hazard guesses for 3/4 of the singles: 812 Superfast, 991 GT2RS, GT350R. Are we sure we only have Ford, Ferrari and Porsche around?
  7. 42070 lookin' real jacked, baby. YA LOOKIN' REAL JACKED
  8. Hooh. Lots of car brands. Now I REALLY wonder if TLG has a UCS Audi R10 TDI and McLaren MP4/4 in the pipeline.
  9. No wonder it took a long time to reveal. And boy what a car. Admittedly the top view reveals the biggest flaw of the set, which is its relative narrowness, but they got most everything right. And a designer's desk! Lovely!
  10. Walls could use a bit more furnishings, but otherwise, neat!
  11. It still looks so criminally wrong. It should have been sand green. A total shame because the cars and the amenities themselves look really good.
  12. I... actually like the all-terrain tow truck. It's big, with chunky tractor tires, and it looks like a proper workhorse that gives screw-all to anything and can get your car hitched out of a ravine quickly. Has this Dakar support truck feel to it. Functions check out. Could have been colored better, but eh, that's easy to remedy. Also liking the tracked jeep now, as well as the not-mythical-anymore airport fire truck. As I said in the City reveals, the sets aren't mediocre, but not really earth-shattering.
  13. I find these to be adequate. Not mediocre, but not exactly the Second Coming, is it?
  14. OK I tell you what the FXX K set just got a lot cooler. And because it's a crank, a PF motor can be used to power up the model.
  15. So that's two yet-to-be revealed sets now. What would they look like?
  16. So we know of 75880 as Mercedes Pit Stop... ??? But we already have the F1 cars. Could it be that we're getting the Sauber LMP cars, C9 and C11? Could it be an extra AMG-GT3 and an SLS GT3? Could it be that new hypercar they've yet to reveal?
  17. Hoo, boy. Those things look like The Business. Anyway... time for the takes. 75877: One of the rare cases where I wanted the grille to be printed than stickered, as the model provides a front end that follows the road car version, but then, the grilles would only be useful in grey, so I digress and just go 'shop the stickers for different color palettes. Otherwise, accurate model, with YELLOW RIMS!!!, a cool driver figure, and spot-on bodywork. 75878: I knew it as meant to be. LEGO's inherently blocky nature lends well to the Chiron's immensity, and it shows. The pop-up wing needs a change (the real car's wing is as long as the car is wide), but otherwise, it's a well-done rendit--OH WAIT A SECOND I CAN SEE SOME NEW PARTS IN THE FRONT END AND THEY INTENTIONALLY DISCOLORED IT AND WOW WOW WOW THIS IS BIG NEWS 75879: Singles F1 car. Standard build. Accurate, but I couldn't care less because the real car sucks. Moving on... 75881: Even if I've seen these models for so many times, I still have zero idea how they nailed the buttress on the New GT GTE. If anything, this is living up to the hype. 75882: Does TLG realize that the name of the car is a swear word? Anyway... FXXK-ing amazing. Barring the slightly questionable splitter , the car is finely-recreated, and the development center is just as good as the model. My money's on this first. 75883: AAAAGGGGGGGGHHHGGGHRAHRHARGHAGRHARHAGRHGAHRHAGRHAGRGAGRHRGAGRHAGRHAGRHARHAGRHGHRGAHGRHAGRAGHRGHAGRHAGRHAGRH WHY IS EVERYTHING BRIGHT GREEN AND NOT SAND GREEN?! IT"S SUPPOSED TO BE SAND GREEN!!! Major turn-off, really. The rest of the model is incredible, but the green... GP2 ENGINE!!! ARGH!!!! There. As always, don't mind the stickers, they're a necessary evil, just recolor them using an image manipulation utility. In general... this theme has so much momentum... and I have a feeling we haven't seen them all yet.
  18. I do not like the Mercedes F1 set. It's wrong, wrong, wrong.
  19. Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy! ... Nope. Dead link.
  20. I dig it, and to think the Eye isn't actually spinnable!
  21. Yeah, hold on. Rummaged reddit for any leaks and zilch were found.
  22. Not a whole lot of takers... but on the other hand, I can maybe buy 4 of 60140 (for a modular), 4 of 60142 (because I actually like it) and 2 of 60138 (for two copies of Chase McCain so I can put the head on Ethan Hunt's body). (Aside: has anyone tried making a big modular police station using all of the police stations prior to 2015 or '16?) Now to wait for GV and the rest of the themes...
  23. Huh. No shady sub-story this time... or so it seems at first glance.
  24. So... maybe some of the codes are for Hospital?
  25. I dunno, I think the AoS set will make it. At least, it will lead to a UCS Helicarrier moment, or a Minifigure series.
