  1. Oh man I just did it... You enter the code, it says "You Won" it tells you what piece you got and below all that is a "Next" or "Play" button, I click that and then there is a screen where I choose whether I want to enter the contest for sets (there are pictures of the Parisian Restaurant, Sydney Opera House, and Tower Bridge) on the left or something in the game on the right. I click on the left, then i go to a page where I have to enter my email (my Lego account email is already showing though) so I just have to check the box I agree to the rules and then hit submit. By the way here is a full copy of the rules you agree to-
  2. So I recently started with the minifigure collection... Have got 13 of 16 including Unicorn and Hot Dog guy. FIgured I might as well get my money's worth so I started putting in the codes into the website and every single time it tells me 'You've Won' but of course that isn't the real contest. I do a couple more clicks and enter the contest to win sets and submit my email and done. Well the other day I put in like 15 codes before I thought to look at the contest rules. The rules say 1 entry per day per person... But the form doesn't stop me from entering as many codes as I have. Well once I read that I stopped and am now doing 1 a day- but does anyone know if that rule is enforced? Are those multiple entries just going to be tossed out? I wasted like 20 minutes entering them. Has anyone ever won a set from this contest?
  3. While in reality it doesn't bother me, for $160 it should be damn near perfect.
  4. Can't say I see any resemblance other than they're both based off an F-14 Tomcat.
  5. I'm in a wheelchair. I voted for the Ideas project- one set would be interesting- But I have no desire to have a token wheelchair minifig included in all big sets or anything like that- it really doesn't matter to me when I'm playing/building how much or little the minifigs represent me.
  6. Kre-o's Enterprise was awful. it was the first (and only) brick set I physically could not put together- it would have required substantial use of crazy glue an it just wasn't worth getting it all over my fingers. It sits in pieces in a bag somewhere. As much as I dislike Megabloks, Kre-o wasn't working out. I'll keep an eye out on what Megabloks comes up with and give them a try wen they start to release sets. I doubt LEGO will ever get Star Trek, I would bet the Star Wars agreement forbids it. Apparently Mega Bloks had a Star Trek licence before- - not bad.
  7. "Never" is a long time- what group has never been underrepresented in history?
  8. The biggest threat to LEGO is the fact plastic requires oil to be made. Oil is low right now due to Saudi Arabia flooding the market to knock out North American competition- but prices will soon be higher than they ever were- and a hundred years from today oil might be a hundred times more expensive. LEGO needs to be working on a petroleum free material that is as good as the plastic they use today.
  9. 2015 is the year of the goat on the Chinese zodiac so if we don't see it soon I doubt we'll ever see it.
  10. OK, thanks... will chalk it up to lesson learned the hard way I guess. No more minifigures for me on bricklink unless its under sets.
  11. I was recently told by a seller that despite a minifigure being listed as "brand new" that I should not expect accessories to be shipped with it. In fairness to the seller the accessories were not in the picture. These are minifigures from various series. I was told minifigure listings are minifigures only and if I wanted the accessories (like swords and shields) I needed to buy minifigures listed under "Sets." Is this common knowledge on Bricklink that I wasn't aware of? Did you know this before? I hope this is an OK question to ask- it is a general question, not about any specific seller- I'm not going to release any details about the transaction.
  12. Found a local place selling them, bought 4... so far the first two I opened were the woman fossil digger.
  13. I have high hopes for the 1969 Chevrolet Corvette.
  14. If you do, do it soon- Pet Shop is (supposedly) being retired with no new inventory expected.
  15. I would have expected the ghost busters hq to sell more than the science museum but who knows...
  16. Thank you... I just placed an order... I wanted to wait a month or two because I just purchased the big remote controlled technic bulldozer, but I'll take the doubt hit this month since I have to. Can't risk it selling out and paying double on eBay. It's marked out-of-stock on the USA site but expected to ship February 14th.
  17. They offer expedited shipping on sets but not on pick-a-brick. Why not just use Bricklink? In my experience they are often cheaper and many sellers are willing to ship faster if you are willing to pay for it.
  18. Anyone know where this is from?
  19. Could probably cut the book into 3 booklets with a knife and some scotch tape to reinforce the binding...
  20. Might depend where you live- it's definitely retired in USA.
  21. They should produce a new modular every month and every quarter instructions for putting the previous 4 modulars together into some sort of MEGA Modular!
  22. Purchasing online is even harder to figure out. If the seller doesn't do business in the state the product is being delivered to then there is no sales tax charged at all. Worse- some states charge sales tax on the shipping cost as well, some don't. As a result your price you check out with is an estimate and subject to minor changes. This is the "fine print" of the US Online Shop- I just figure 10% extra over any price shown and I know that is more than enough, it turns out for me to be closer to 9%. Basically when ordering online you pay the sales tax applicable to the city and state you are ordering from- or no tax at all if you are ordering from a state that doesn't have a LEGO store or office.
  23. That's amazing LegoSjaak. How many DO's did you need?
  24. Updated pic with my modified DO, I moved it next to the Town Hall...
