OK, I made everything in LDD. If you use basic bricks that are in the game it works fairly well. on the right are the Twin Towers from my World Trade Center/Twin Towers set on Lego Ideas. The towers came in OK but the antenna on the one building did not.

Well I just tried the LDD import function. Any models you put in that folder are indeed available from the Brick Builds option, of course they don't have an icon image of what they really look like, just a place holder. Unfortunately not one of the 12 I tried looked even remotely like I had hoped. Some of the reason is just missing bricks I guess. However there is more than just this. Some taller buildings that were made with bricks I know are in Words simply appeared sideways, with bricks in the wrong direction, and some completely different bricks then were used in LDD. It is a long way aways from useful imports but I'm glad they are planning on making it a working option,

I found the way to switch figures and free build with bricks. Wasn't easy to built, foudn trees and things getting in the way of the camera, I couldn't tell which side of the brick the texture was on (was using those 2x1 bricks with vertical ridges on one side and horizontal on the other.) Still needs a lot of work but I see a lot of potential. Would be amazing if you could import your LDD files at some point.

Are you guys using this with a controller? I was using a touchpad on my laptop and the controls left something to be desired. Also I didn't see any immediate means of changing the mini-figure you are... Is everyone starting out the same? (The woman geologist I think.) I also read you could build with individual bricks, not sure if that's not implemented yet or I just missed it.

Only 1 made it. I won't spoil the surprise. Although 1 needs further review. -

Hope you have small child-like hands else you will not be able to physically build bag 2 per the instructions. -

I try to check in to Lego Ideas every day. Most days I seem to support at least 1 project. -
I'm taking a chance on a store that only had 1 feedback, which was positive and from 2 days ago. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The great part about numbered bags is you can choose to ignore them and there is no harm to your fun.

I don't even know where to begin... 1) The sets are way over-priced for what they are. 2) I hate most licensed sets including Star Wars. 3) I hate stupid looking themes like Chima, Ninjaro, Bionicle, Friends.... The only real themes should be City, Space, Technic, Pirates, Castle, maybe a few others 4) The Lego Group seems full of themselves and the more I learn about their internal workings, the less I like them. They really seem like the Apple of toys and Apple is awful to its employees but it has them brainwashed to think otherwise 5) Lego Ideas should require some minimum quality to even get listed. 6) Lego Ideas should have an option where staff or some kind of review board can choose to accept a project without needing to wait for votes if the quality warrants it. 7) Modulars going in the wrong direction- too small and too much child/play centric. 8) Lego Discovery Centers don't allow adults without children thereby insinuating anyone without a kid who likes Legos is a child molester. 9) No bulk pick-a-brick purchases available online. They should have some sort of virtual cup by weight you can order as much as you can fit for a set price 10) VIP members ordering $75 or more online should get 2nd day express shipping free 11) Virtually all mini-figures should have yellow heads 12) Not being able to know which mini figure you are buying 13) Should monitor the secondary market and re-release sets whoses used prices would warrant it, like Green Grocer , Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal,.. Probably more...

If the pieces were "normal" priced they likely would have been bought by someone else who didn't even really need them and you wouldn't be able to find any. Higher prices for rare items ensures rare items are possible to find. It sucks but it would suck more if you couldn't get them.

It would be a sticker if anything, you don't have to use it. -

With the breakout success of Golden Girls I wondered how long it would be before all the old TV shows showed up. Yesterday I saw a Gilligan's Island set. It looked decent but there was very little to it besides the minifigs, a couple palm trees, and a one-piece boat. Looking forward to others, hope they are more substantial than just a couple trees. Would love to see a Dukes of Hazzard. -

I hope they hold over some of the better ones if they can't make them all initially. That Corvette looks amazing and I'm not even a car guy but I'd buy that without a doubt. I'd also buy the Medieval Market, the Douglas DC3, and the Titanic. I'd probably get Golden Girls for the hell of it, put it up by my television. However the Corvette more than any of them jumps out to me- I was the first commenter on the project. :D -

Palace Cinema is my least favorite modular- I have them all since and including Grand Emporium. -
I had been shipped a fairly rare, large piece I had no use for- I contacted the seller and they were appreciative, they asked me to mail it back to them and I did and they refunded the cost of my shipping it back to them. It was a $10+ item. For $1.54 it's not worth the effort to ship back. If you want to email the seller and inform them of the extra pieces I suppose you could- maybe it was the last of those pieces they had in stock and were just getting rid of them rather than having 1 in stock and someone else ordering 1 of them on a small order. I wouldn't offer to pay for them though. Presumably you ordered what you needed. Sellers shouldn't expect to get paid more if they overship to a customer.

While the other Golden Girls set got a nice support boost I don't see it making it- the extra support is fading and it doesn't have the momentum to get thousands of likes in 18 days anymore. I also suspect the sites that give the other GG projects steam will be reluctant to tell their reader's to do it again for such a similar set. I hope it does, but unless a some new source of votes comes up, I don't see it happening. -

It was on my local news (on the TV) in New York City at least 20 minutes before it was posted to Mary Sue, and it had already received over 5000 votes by that time, so it was something well before the Mary Sue post that started this. -

Golden Girls hit the news shows in the USA today, 5000 votes or so in the last 8 hours- https://ideas.lego.com/projects/98263 Edit- Actually I think it's over 8000 votes in 8 hours- there hasn't even been 1 official LEGO comment and it's going to hit 10k within 60 minutes. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
BirdOPrey5 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
It.wouldn't be difficult for Lego to print all the colors across the top of the page so we can tell the greys and blacks apart, as well as the maroons/browns and other easily mistakable colors. That's not asking too much. -

Pet Shop would be my vote for same reason- if you don't get it soon you'll never be able to (at a reasonable price) and to me it is one of, if not the best, modular ever. -

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I really like the bookstore and would buy it- not every modular needs a new technique- to be honest I get tired of new techniques just for the sake of having a new technique. Who cares there are 20 different ways to make stairs- I don't - so long as there are stairs. Just wish it doesn't have a branded starbucks- don't want anything to do with them, but I would buy it anyway for the barnes & noble. -
