  1. Maybe someone going to the LEGO store tomorrow can ask the staff whether the Rebels sets will or wont be in the store and see what they say. That or someone with contacts (local Ambassador maybe) could contact LEGO and ask at the top why the Rebels sets dont get sold in Australia.
  2. Got to go to an AFOL special preview of the Dreamworld LEGO store last night and it is great. Spent $30 on a large PaB cup and $20 on 3x minifigs (head/torso/legs/headgear/accessory) Grand opening set for Saturday will be http://brickset.com/sets/40145-1/LEGO-Brand-Retail-Store and you need to spend $200 to get one. Quite a few things there that you cant get anywhere else (if $20 for that mini London Bus from last year floats your boat, they have that :) not to mention all the things that are otherwise only available as retail exclusives (GHBQ anyone? VW Beetle? Disney Castle? Winter Train Set? Tanker Truck Takedown? Doctor Strange's Sanctum? Batman: Rescue from Ra's al Ghul?)
  3. The Dreamworld LEGO store was announced (and under construction) long before the accident happened.
  4. The LEGO store at Dreamworld opens this weekend: https://www.dreamworld.com.au/things-to-do/lego
  5. Its a preliminary picture so its entirely possible the torso designs in the picture we have are not the final torso designs and we will get some beachwear in the final set.
  6. MYER is running 25% off this weekend (excluding minifigures)
  7. Bricklink lists no 2 x 2 round tiles in trans-clear (printed or otherwise). 1 x 1 round tiles in trans-clear (printed and unprinted) are easy to get though.
  8. For those suggesting figs based on the DC Comics TV shows (Flash, Arrow, Gotham etc) I suspect those might be a bit darker and less kid-appropriate than the comics and movies that the DC stuff we got so far in Dimensions is based on.
  9. I cant see Ronald ever appearing in Dimensions given LEGO probably wouldn't want to associate themselves so closely with a company that is seen as public enemy #1 in the war against childhood obesity... Plus I dont know how much Ronald is being used in their ads these days (especially in countries like Australia where advertising junk food to children is more highly regulated these days)
  10. Just bought the new police station and I gotta say the police car (which I just finished building) is one of the best looking cop cars LEGO have made. It looks really sporty and sleek which is cool. And the (new for 2017 I believe) car base piece is neat too. I wasn't interested in it before but now I am being tempted to buy the High-Speed Chase as well (although its got that big ugly helicopter in it that I have basically no use for) Is it possible that the Jungle Explorer sets might re-use the mask piece from the Series 11 Island Warrior?
  11. If you want the Batman CMFs, grab em when you see em, they seem to be disappearing fast. For those in Brisbane, Mr Toys Indooropilly has the most stock left of any store I have visited recently. Although there is also some left at Mr Toys Loganholme (or was when I was there) The "new for January" sets are also appearing in stores (so far I have seen Moana, Friends, City and Nexo Knights in various places around Brisbane. Oh and I saw the Sydney Skyline set at a few Mr Toys stores. Oh and MYER has a 20% off sale this weekend (excludes Minifigures though). Good opportunity to pick up the new stuff (City, Friends, Nexo, Star Wars, whatever) on discount. Also I have seen Big Ben, Brick Bank, Detective's Office, Porsche, Caterham and Slave 1 at various MYER stores in my travels so it might be worth looking there if you are after any of those.
  12. Its possible the exclusive Coast Guard set is a boat of some sort.
  13. If Fun at the Beach includes as many new minifig bits (torsos/heads/etc) as Fun at the Park did, I am definatly interested.
  14. Sheep Shearer Gender: Male Torso: Blue singlet with bare arms Headgear: Hair Legs: Blue jeans to match the singlet with a leather belt on the hips Facial expression: Beard with sweat drops (looking like he is doing really hard work) Accessory: New sheep mold plus the scissors piece for a pair of hand shears
  15. I have some 2 x 2 round tiles in trans-clear. I think they may be Q elements, does anyone know if they ever appeared in anything official or if they would be Q elements?
  16. LEGO Bugs Bunny and gang would be awesome.
  17. If TLG put out a TRON pack for this game, I would definatly buy it (and I dont even have the game or a console to run it on). TRON is one of my favorite movies (plus its cyberpunk through and through so that's even better :)
  18. That tram is great, its definatly something I would be interested in.
  19. I suspect http://brickset.com/sets/71004-12/Taco-Tuesday-Guy is as close as we are going to get to a taco guy :) Pizza (and hot dogs) are a lot more popular with kids in all of TLGs markets (Europe in particular) than tacos.
  20. I believe someone else already has the license for World of Warcraft construction toys. Since you mentioned Elder Scrolls (which would be awesome to see btw) I will bring up another never-gonna-happen license idea. Fallout. Its far too violent for TLG but hey, a guy can dream (and maybe someone like BrickArms could do some Fallout stuff :)
  21. The Police Starter Set is what you want for that. 2 cops (including a female with a really cool pair of sunglasses), 2 crooks, a police dog, a quad bike and an ATM for the crooks to break into. Its probably the closest you will get to an actual minifig pack (and if prices dont go up, Big W here in Oz will probably have it for sale for $10 just like with this year's Prison Island Starter Set)
  22. Loving the pizza truck, will be buying that one for sure. The fishing boat looks nice (although it would be good to know what torsos are hiding under those life jackets) Don't know why but the 4 x 4 in the catamaran set makes me think of an old-school Land Rover... The torso on the female in the ATV race team looks neat (although knowing TLG it will probably have a logo or something on the back that renders it useless...) Nice to see the new wheel arches up close in the stunt truck. Love the way they did the lights in the dragster set.
  23. I said "City" not "town" :)
  24. Is it just me or are there new wheel arches on the rear of the tow truck set? Looks like the same wheel arches are on the police truck in the bank set too...
  25. If you want the GBHQ and can find a store in your area with stock left, buy it now, it will almost certainly never get cheaper than it is right now with the 20% off sale. The current Big W price on the Technic Porsche is also as cheap as you will find one.
