  1. I wonder which one will come out first.
  2. I believe what the Shark General has is not a milkshake or smoothie but a Bubble Tea (which would fit with the Asian theme of NinjaGo and with the bubble design on the cup)
  3. Apparently Big W will have 20% off all toys starting Thursday. Good time to pick up anything where Big W normal price is below RRP as well as anything that is a Big W exclusive (like the City Jungle set with the tiger)
  4. This thread stopped being about licensed pieces ages ago, now its about all the cool or interesting pieces LEGO happens to make available to buy.
  5. The last 3 modulars have all been great sources of interesting parts IMO.
  6. If its as good as the Detective's Office, Brick Bank and Assembly Square, I am interested no matter what the subject matter.
  7. I will probably pick up at least one Panther and Leopard (and Tiger if its been added by the time my finances recover to the point I can place this order) in my next Bricks & Pieces order. I have the brown bear, both colors of elephant, quite a few crocodiles, the chimpanzee, the classic monkey, several brown cows, many horses and many smaller animals and I have plans for a zoo MOC in the future and the big cats would be perfect for that :)
  8. Camels came into Australia alongside Afghan Cameleers (and those from other countries) in the mid 1800s in the hope they would be useful as a mode of transport in the great inland desert of the country and are now considered a pest in some parts of the outback.
  9. Official update on the Saturn V availability: https://ideas.lego.com/blogs/a4ae09b6-0d4c-4307-9da8-3ee9f3d368d6/post/1c30b0cb-0ac3-48f0-a1e3-a6ff636b71f3
  10. Very surprised they still haven't done a C3P0 buildable figure (there were rumors it would show up in the Last Jedi wave but unless there is a set we dont know about yet, the reports I have seen dont show one) Of all the characters in the SW universe, droids would seem to be the best candidates for buildable figures yet we have just the 1 (unless Grevious counts in which case we have 2) Maybe there is a license issue preventing TLG from doing a buildable C3P0 or maybe they are holding it for some specific special date.
  11. An E-Type Jag would make an awesome LEGO set.
  12. I am not really after any licensed parts (at least not ones that I have seen for sale on B&P anytime recently) so if licensed parts are disappearing its no big deal to me. I will probably place an order in the next couple weeks anyway (just need my finances to recover to the point where I can afford it) and whatever happens to be available is what I go for. If the newer parts I want (like the 2x2 map tile from the Jungle set, the 1x1 round plate in Titanium Metallic, the Jungle torso with the hoodie and sunglasses or the lime green camera) aren't available when I order, I will go without and order them at some future date or get them elsewhere :) The parts I am specifically looking for (e.g. dark blue wheel arches, teapot, trans-clear piece used to hold the spider-man shooting webs) do seem to be available right now so hopefully they stay available until I can afford to get some :) It does surprise me what parts appear to be considered "licensed" (where a search on the element ID brings up "bricks available for that set: 0") though. The lavender boomerang is apparently a licensed part despite being in an Elves set (the blue boomerang is only in a Batman set so I can understand that one)
  13. I hope they list more of the new parts online soon (the small amount you can order over the phone plus the high cost of shipping to Australia makes it not worth doing)
  14. The good thing is that if they brought back Studios now in 201x they wouldn't need to include that crappy USB webcam since tablets and phones with cameras and apps are a thing now.
  15. I hope they do a Speed Champions Lamborghini, if they do, it would be a instant buy for me...
  16. I can tell you now that the Crawler will get rejected in the review right off the bat even if it makes it to 10k. TLG has a rule in place where Ideas sets that are in the same theme as an existing Ideas set wont get made (so no more Ghostbusters or Big Bang Theory or BTTF or Adventure Time or Dr Who Ideas sets). And the Crawler fits into the same "Apollo Program" theme as the Saturn V which means its automatically disqualified from production. People need to stop listing things on Ideas that have zero chance of being made (including sets that have zero chance of being made because they are covered by the above "nothing that fits into existing Ideas sets" rule or sets that have zero chance of being made because they are covered by the "nothing that fits into IPs TLG is already licensing" rule like Star Wars or Super Heroes)
  17. Art Deco is a theme I would love to see TLG tackle more than they have done to date.
  18. Past evidence shows that parts don't get withheld from Bricks & Pieces just because they are retailer exclusives. I purchased some of the white construction helmet+ear protection parts from Bricks & Pieces and those are exclusive to the Volcano Heavy Lift Helicopter (which is a retailer exclusive)
  19. If they can't do CMFs because of licensing, how are they allowed to do the Star Wars buildable action figures without Hasbro being annoyed?
  20. Oh yeah I also have an order dated 17th March where 1h-2017 parts weren't available and another order dated 10th April where they were available (if that narrows down how soon they typically become available) 1h-2017 parts in that other order include the Dark Azure tool wheel, the 1 x 1 with studs on 2 sides (the corner one) in tan, the Friends Lamb from the Juniors Farm Suitcase, the magnifying glass with target reticle from the Arkham Asylum and the tan 2 x 2 map tile with the cage on it from the 2017 Elves sets. So yeah I doubt we will have to wait a year for the tiger or the kayak or the printed 2 x 2 jungle map to show up...
  21. My experience is that new parts have generally been listed a lot sooner than a year afterwards. I placed an order dated 30 August 2016 and in that order are parts from the 2h-2016 City sets including the big red airplane tail, the helmet/torso/legs from the heat suit in the Volcano Explorer sets and the printed Bus Stop sign from Fun in the Park. So I suspect we will probably be seeing the Kayak, Tiger, new torsos and other things in the next couple months. (possibly sooner)
  22. The 20% off at Target applies to Minifigures. The 20% off at MYER does not (they seem to be excluding Minifigures from their sales for whatever reason)
  23. The life guard torso from Fun at the Beach is now showing as available. No sign of anything else new from that set (or any of the new parts from the other City sets) Does anyone know the right part number for the new giant spider from the Jungle sets? I cant find it on Brickset or Bricks & Pieces at all (let alone figure out if its available to buy or not)
  24. Don't know when the 20% off sale finishes but I picked up TLBM on DVD today for $15.98 from JB Hi-Fi with a free mini Batwing polybag. Definitely the cheapest offer out there (you can also get various Blu-Ray offerings with the free polybag as part of the same 20% off sale if Blu-Ray is more your thing) According to Bricking Around Australia isn't getting the Batgirl polybag. In addition to the JB offer with the Batwing, Sanity is doing some sort of offer (not clear exactly what) involving the Joker Battle Training polybag. The signage I saw in MYER Loganholme today indicated the in-store 20% off finishes on Sunday the 2nd. Have seen new City sets so far at MYER Loganholme, Big W Loganholme and Big W Beenleigh. Batman is out there as well although I wasn't paying much attention to exactly what and where.
  25. Lets hope the tiger shows up too :)
