Smashed out a another car this morning, I have to find a faster way to add racing stripes though. Ford Mustang GT500

Thanks Lightningtiger, Brock's Torana would be epic but this was more of a standard car for around the city. I think the orange was to try and have a neat looking non-utilitarian vehicle in the colour, but it was originally made in 2012 so who knows what was going on in my head. I might re-do the Torana in 5 wide and give it the whole Brock treatment, I've got a few more tricks in my bag and a bit of free time ahead so anything's possible.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Criga88 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I think Dirk Gently's detective agency would be make a great modular, complete with the couch stuck in the stairs. But I really would like a nice police station to go with the fire brigade. -
Hi all, I started to sort my LDD creations folder and came across a few older MOCs that I haven't uploaded yet. I'm also testing various techniques for optimal performance of POV-Ray so my apologies for anything odd that I miss while editing the renders. First up is my version of an Aussie classic, a Holden Torana SLR 5000 from 1977. I almost bought one of these a few years ago but regrettably wasn't quick enough with an offer :( The MOC is fairly basic with the minimum features thrown in and it can seat a driver if his arms are pointed up slightly. Holden Torana SLR 5000 by Criga88, on Flickr My next MOC is a Chevrolet Camaro from 2010. I think I originally made this as a mod based on the older police cars that were in the City line. I made a couple of minor changes to it after I found it like the front grille area and rear fender. The 1x2x2/3 bow bricks (a personal favorite part) make the transition to the boot so much smoother which just wasn't possible when I first made this. Thanks Haddock and Dekkino.

Thanks Coghilla and Jonwil. You're spot on about the manufaturer Coghilla, they'll probably end up being the basis for most of my vehicles given their huge catalog.

Thanks Eurotrash. The camper's a good idea, shouldn't be too hard to make an alternate module to replace the prisoner transport one either.

Thanks Lightningtiger. I have to admit that your van was inspiration to make my own Aussie police vehicles

Thanks Mutant Orc. The rear section is meant to be a plastic module that bolts onto a variety of pick-up chassis, hence the difference between the front and rear. Feel free to copy or modify it, the .LXF is the sturdy build.

Hi all, this week I started to focus on creating Australian based police force vehicles to bring some order to my streets. My first vehicle is a paddy wagon with a Toyota Hilux for the base which I tried to style like the current city sets. When I initially designed this one the section behind the rear axle was pretty fragile but after a quick rebuild it's very sturdy now. The final product is able to seat a driver in the cab and a prisoner in the rear module with the lockers in the middle for any gear or evidence. A couple of stickers from other sets and this will be ready to start rounding up the hordes of criminals that I've acquired through sets over the years. Let me know what you think of it Hilux paddy wagon.lxf

Put the AS350 together this morning when my latest PAB order arrived and the red and yellow looks great when built so this one's a definite keeper. I tried to order parts for the BK117 as well but since it has a lot more hard to find ones I'll have to bricklink them.

Added a huey to the virtual Westpac hanger, it was only a matter of time until I gave my favorite helicopter a new look. I also placed a S@H order for a few bits and pieces so I should be able to build a mostly correct model of the AS350 and BK117 when it arrives.

I had a bit of trouble coming up with something suitable for both geek pride day and towel day I'm not overly happy with the result, it's way too simple, but I suppose so is the reference. For those who don't get it, read Douglas Adams books. Geek pride/towel day

Thanks everyone. Lightningtiger, these are rendered LDD creations but I brick build as much as I can with the parts I have on hand, it's a lot easier to work out the more complex sections that way. As for a 6 wide escortmad79, I think 4 wide is more fitting as it is a relatively compact helicopter and any changes would result in the entire model's size ballooning. I'll get some more angles rendered for you though.

Hi all, this week I started to make helicopters in the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service livery. They operate a variety of aircraft and I intend on making them all at some stage. The first MOC was the Eurocopter AS350 Squirrel which was easy enough. The helicopter was a quick re-paint of my police one with the only real changes being to the door configuration and the searchlight replaced by a loudhailer. The loudhailer is due to this aircraft's primary role of beach patrols. The second aircraft is the Kawasaki BK117 which was a bit more of a challenge. While this shares the same rotor diameter and length of the AS350, the cabin has a lot more room inside. Up to four minifigs can sit inside, or two with a brick-built stretcher (based on mista_carrot's design on flickr). Access to the cabin is through the pilots doors, 'sliding' doors and a clam shell door on the rear. I'll do a render to show the stretcher and inside of the cabin when I can. Let me know what you think and stand by for more. Edit: Here's the .LXF's for anyone who's interested Eurocopter AS350 westpac.lxf Kawasaki BK117 westpac.lxf For anyone trying to build the BK117, there's four illegal connections in the nose that aren't in the file. There's a technic pin with stud holding the cheese slopes for the chin windows and another two that form the connection that holds the lower part of the nose to the fuselage.

Hi all, this morning I re-designed an old MOC that I had originally made a little bit over a year ago. The helicopter is based on the Eurocopter AS350 built to fit with the scale of my other aircraft and is shown in the LAPD livery. I built the heli as well to see how sturdy it is and if it's handled by the base of the tail it swooshes fine. The engine and rear half of the tail are both connected by single studs so it doesn't take much direct force to dislodge them, but it's bearable. The cabin is also about half a plate too low for minifigs to sit but if they're slightly reclined they fit, up to four can squeeze in if the doors are removed too.

Thanks everyone. I based the museum on 60008 Jonwil, seemed to be appropriate and convenient. And Glendo, I am in the puss, it gives me plenty of time to make MOCs ;)
