  1. Yeah, it’s not exactly news, as leaks always come around that time and we’ll definitely be getting some sort of info at comic con as well.
  2. I’m with you; I feel like Skybound was a huge focus on them and I’d be interested in something new. Of all the ninja, we haven’t had a Cole-focused season (just DOTD), so I’d love to see that (Although I’m quite frankly fine with the current direction of a focus on every character; it seems to be working out great for S8 and S9). The only reason for me to really want another Jay and Nya season is a proper water dragon, and it better be a good one.
  3. Yeah but the other symbol is Nya’s, hinting at both a water and a lightning dragon.
  4. Huh. Something Jay and Nya focused, perhaps. Maybe we’ll finally get a proper water dragon!
  5. I also wish we got sets of the different speeders (maybe include the Destiny’s Wing and the other small speeder in a $20 or $30 set that flips the tired “motorbike chase” set around and makes them hovercraft, but alas).
  6. Without giving away too much, I felt that Sons of Garmadon peaked at its seventh episode, Game of Masks, and the final episodes were a little lackluster in comparison, whereas the seventh episode of Hunted only makes me think the best is yet to come - I’m really excited to see what happens after that cliffhanger and if One minor nitpick that really bugged me - One really cool thing I’m not seeing discussed from episode 90 was
  7. I love that theory! It explains why
  8. Loved episode 90, although it would be nice if more than literally one of the vehicles featured in the speeder chase was actually a set, so kids could reenact the chase from the show - seems like a missed opportunity to me. Loved the design of the Oni Stronghold and the design similarities to the Oni masks. Looking forward to see
  9. The next episode is out with quite the interesting twist... it’s really picking up from here and I’m looking forward to see how it all pans out.
  10. Seems like the video has been taken down but it’s up at this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kWduB24CNRJU3YSNpWs_Nv-Wanb_G0aZ/view
  11. I think that wasn’t a planned set; it was widely believed in the community to be a cancelled set but a few years back some designer somewhere said it was just them playing around with the Horizon Express and was never meant to be an actual set. But yes, I NEED a dragon Overlord set.
  12. “If you think ninja and LEGO are cool, then this is the panel for you! Ninjago veterans Tommy Andreasen (co-creator/producer) and Michael Svane Knap (LEGO senior design manager) are joined by lead writer Bragi Schut, voice talents Brent Miller (voice of Zane), Kelly Metzger (voice of Nya), and Vincent Tong (voice of Kai) to talk about their favorite memories and other reflections on creating LEGO’s longest running and most successful show. Bring the kids! Ninjaaaaa-GO! Moderated by the LEGO Group’s Brian Bowler.” So the Comic Con description for the panel has been released, which adds some more fuel to the fire... the emphasis of “longest-running” and “favorite memories/reflections” really hints that these rumors might actually be true...
  13. I don’t recall if it was in an interview with Brent Miller or on Twitter, but he hinted strongly at a continuation (I believe it was something along the lines of “maybe the story of the Oni, Dragon, and Garmadon isn’t done past season 9... we will see”) I also want number 1 to happen badly, even besides the potential for remade sets in a new style there’s the possibility of getting minifigures, locales, and playsets we missed out on the first time around, of which there are countless (Chen’s Arena with the remaining non-minifigure EMs, Borg Tower, Overlord Dragon, the Stone Army vehicles, Snake Bus/Train, Serpentine Wars/Jamanakai Village set with ancient EMs, the list goes on).
  14. If the rumors are true, I see a few ways this could go. 1.) They release a special recapping the early seasons (starting with the Pilot and Season 1) called something like Ninjago: Origins, which runs alongside the currently story (we know the Oni/Dragon/Garmadon storyline is continuing past season 9 according to TA so Season 10 has got to happen soon). I could see this as a way to combat how convuluted Bionicle got in its early years and also a way for writers to explain/retcon some plot holes from the previous seasons. The release for this could be done similarly to Harry Potter, with the pilot and S1 for winter 2019, S2 and 3 for summer 2019, etc. 2.) The sets and locales are relevant again somehow to the story (I.e. the ninja find some reason to return to the Fire Temple despite its destruction and the Skulkin and Serpentine return again) 3.) (ugh) Time travel, which has never been handled well in Ninjago but hopefully will be done better on their third try.
  15. Yeah, the ones without physical forms are conveniently missing in action (besides Ash, who I’m not sure why isn’t present)
  16. https://youtu.be/u4K7_ZCiQD4 well, huh. Wasn’t expecting these to come out so fast. Does anyone know the release schedule and why we already have episode 3? (Not that I’m complaining...) Music was on point this episode - I think the soundtrack with the Wind Dragon and the hunters is one of my favorites now!
  17. Episode 86 is out! Some thoughts:
  18. Winter counts as December 2018 to January 2019 ish. Had some theories about this being either time travel or just the locations and characters becoming relevant again (a la Ultra Stealth Raider) I’d like that. I’d like that very much. A chance to get sets of old locales, vehicles, and characters in new fashion, especially if they haven’t made sets before, is amazing. Perhaps this is their way of combatting Bionicle’s end with the lore getting too confusing and not having many good entry points.
  19. I think there are two story-related ways this could play out, although this is veering a bit into TV show discussion. The first thing is that season 10 could focus on time travel (and actually do it well, unlike Hands of Time and Wrong Place, Wrong Time), but this is all just wild speculation at this point until the comic con announcement comes in a few days (which will 100% be about this if true). There’s also the potential idea that while the sets are based off of remakes of past sets, the story relevance is all-new. I could see original dragons playing a part with the Oni and Dragon Realm in play this season (although the throne of the Iron Baron in-show is suspiciously surrounded by four skulls that resemble the Ultra Dragon almost exactly), and I could see the Fire Temple and Serpentine become relevant again in new ways, aka the ninja revisiting the Fire Temple for whatever reason and the Serpentine returning to aid the ninja this time. YES accurate weapons would be amazing. That’s good that he worked on the stellar S8 and S9 (which by the first episode looks to be amazing).
  20. If true (taking this with a MASSIVE grain of salt), this could be a major Comic Con announcement. Will they be remakes/improvements like the Ultra Stealth Raider (that would be great) or direct rereleases? LEGO has changed a lot since 2011 and lots of the molds used are no longer in production, namely dragon heads and minifigure parts, among others. I don’t see how this would make much sense with the TV show unless they’re doing something funky with time travel or going the Bionicle route and releasing their own “Stars” line. If this has any merit to it, I’d love to see remakes of old sets, like a Fire Temple with 2018 building techniques. If they’re revisiting the past, though, I feel like there’s so many sets from the show that we missed out on for sets - Borg Tower, different vehicles for Chen’s Army, and not to mention figures - from the renaming EMs to Cyrus Borg, Anacondrai Chen and Skylor, Cloud Kingdom, etc.
  21. I must have missed that; thanks so much for sharing. Yup, that’s very exciting. Not sure where the cancellation rumors came from but it seems like it’s doing just fine, if not better than before. My only worry is that the Hagenmans are leaving the show (and we saw what happened with Day of the Departed and Hands of Time without their guidance), but that’s more of a TV show worry than a set worry, especially as the past season has been exceptionally good.
  22. Darn, that’s unfortunate. I was under the impression it was actually a rumor, not just a wish. Thanks for clearing it up!
  23. A few months ago a Mosasaurus set with a submarine was rumored, which does seem to fit with the movie - any idea as to what happened to this and if it’s still going to be released?
