  1. Nice MOC. I've never seen the movie 300, but there is a lot of detail here. That's a lot of Spartans you got for this too, it took me almost a month just to find one.
  2. I love that series. Unfortunately about a year ago I stopped watching it because I heard somewhere the series had been canceled, and now I don't know where I left off, so I have to rewatch everything.
  3. Nice ship, looks like it will be great by the time its finished. One thing though, it might be nice to have some more windows on the bridge. Even with hundreds of sensor displays and such, it would be a bit hard to see what's going on in a battle with only one small window.
  4. Very imaginative MOC. That hat part works pretty well for this, I never much thought of using the stud on top for anything.
  5. Well, as far as design of the actual set, it would probably be a tie between the Middevial Market Village, Imperial Flagship (The new one, but the old one was cool also, but I don't have the old one), a lot of the old BIONICLE sets, and the Grand Emporium. As far as the parts, it would be a tie between the Death Star Playset (More because of the huge quantity of the parts rather than the parts themselves), and the Imperial Flagship.
  6. Space (I don't have a specific favorite, I just love space as a whole). Then a tie between castle (specifically the 2007 and later stuff and Kingdoms) and pirates, then somewhere in between, the action themes (again, I don't really have a favorite among them, except that time cruisers is probably my least favorite...)

    LDD WIP

Nice. That would work great for a large ship. I might play around with the design in LDD a bit...
  8. Well, I haven't actually bought anything recently (Trying to save as much money as possible for the LEGO sale on one of the brickworld days) but I did get the new Ninjago BrickMaster set in the mail yesterday, I got the StarWars Wampa Cave set a few days ago (I needed a few parts from it, and didn't have the time to order them on brickset so I made an exception), and I might be getting a small Aquazone set in a trade soon.
  9. Well this could be good or bad. On the good side, LEGO might release some more pink and purple parts (I only have like 15 purple parts and one pink part in my whole collection). On the bad side, some of the stuff there makes it sound like the sets are going to have a lot of big parts to limit the construction required. Of course, a new theme is always an opportunity for LEGO to release some new part designs, so that's a good thing also.
  10. Mine had the brown hands, but LEGO sent me a replacement minifig with the correct yellow. Since they didn't say anything about it being supposed to be brown, I think it was actually a mistake. I think almost all of them had the brown hands but LEGO probably has fixed the problem now.
  11. Definitely Star Trek. I like the characters a lot better (especially Data), and I think there is a lot more character development.
  12. I think the "Crownies" are one of the cooler factions in the Castle stuff. As a whole, I love all of the 2007 until Kingdoms stuff (though I only managed to get a few sets, mostly ones with the trolls.)
  13. According to Brickset, currently 545. However, at my current rate of getting new sets, plus the huge amount I will be getting for my birthday this month, by next month I estimate it will be well over 400.
  14. Well have fun. I've only been to the store in Chicago, but the PAB wall there was... disappointing. They only had about 10 part types there, and it was mostly headlight bricks and stuff... Though looking back I probably should have bought out the plants they had there... The build a minifig thing also disappointed me a bit, they only had about 3 different parts for each category (like 3 kinds of heads, 3 leg types,....) so I didn't get anything there. They do have a huge amount of sets though. They usually have stuff on sale somewhere in the store though, I found some cool city stuff when I went back in 2009.
  15. Amazing. I can't wait to see the finished thing. How is the angle on the sides done?
  16. Needs cross rigging and the guy above me said. Other than that, great little ship. Is it made with parts from the brickbeard's bounty set? I notice most of the parts can be found in that set

  18. Nice. I love the striping on the sides. That gun does seem a bit long, I think 5-7 bricks would have been long enough. Lots of nice details all over, and the engine design is great.
  19. Cool contest, I'll try to make something for it. If we do an Atlantis one, do we have to use the new light bley/red/yellow color scheme, or can we use the old one (lime/dark bley/red)?
  20. I wouldn't nessasarily say "addicted", but I do check 10-20 times daily. I just have nothing else to do (after a certain amount of building each day my fingers hurt from taking apart plates and stuff.)
  21. ... When your collection exceeds the price of a used car (or cheap new one possibly, I don't know what current prices are like) ... When more than 60% of your house is used for LEGO ... When, after hearing that megabloks is better than LEGO, you feel personally insulted ... When you spend more time building/getting new sets/sorting than you spend eating and sleeping each day ... When someone says they have "Come out of the closet", the first thing that comes to mind is LEGO
  22. I've never heard of transparent parts getting yellowed before, but when I looked in my bag of cheese slopes earlier, I noticed that 3 or 4 of the trans-clear ones were darker and somewhat yellowed compared to the others. I've never heard of transparent parts getting discolored like that though, so is this actually a different color that I just didn't know about, or actual yellowing? Bricklink doesn't have any information if it is a separate color, but they have had missing information in the past.
  23. This is good. I hope it doesn't cause LEGO sales to drop though. (NON-LEGO PARENTS: Look at the part count and the useful parts, NOT the size of the box)
  24. Well I don't think they would do that, as several people have said already, the minifigure is one of the biggest symbols of LEGO, they would be taking a HUGE risk by messing with it that much. A lot of people probably wouldn't be very happy about the change. I personally like the minifigure the way it is currently.
  25. After some time, I chose the Caribbean clipper. Best colors and proportions I think.
