Oooh cool. Sometimes I wish I could just find a random box of parts somewhere... (When I move I even always check all the closets and the attic and stuff in case the previous resident left anything )
-
Same here. I plan to buy every one of those as soon as they are released.

Happy birthday. Hope you have another great year of LEGO ahead
-
Nice design. I love that triangular bit at the front, cool angles. The gears on the side look nice too. (Based on the parts you used for a lot of it, I'm guessing you just got/took apart the Star Wars Droid Trifighter set?)

A disturbing trend has developed in my White Cheese Slopes..
brickmack replied to kyphur's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've got a lot of slopes like this, at least 5 in white, a few in blue, 2 in lime green, and probably more in other colors... It's sad. -
Hmmm. Just wondering, how did you manage to say the actual word there??
-
Well, I think you are insane. Hopefully your sure about this, a lot of times I feel guilty just selling a few parts, but an entire collection would be hard to get back/replace if you changed your mind.

LEGO parts made of Chinese plastic?
brickmack replied to Henchmen4Hire's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Not sure about the parts being particularly brittle, but as far as smell, I think those parts you mentioned are made of a different kind of plastic, mine felt kinda bendy, but it's not as bendy as rubber. Any other parts smell odd to you? -
What's the best Minifigure ever made?
brickmack replied to Mr. Elijah Timms's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hmmm. Too hard of a question, but I can answer if I break it down by theme. Star Wars: Han Solo from the Endor Bunker set. LEGO did a great job capturing him for that. Pharaoh's Quest: No idea what it's called, but its the one that's supposed to be the half dog, half human thing. Pirates: The admiral from the new Imperial Flagship set. Atlantis: The squid people. Mostly I just like the leg design. Space: The Mars Mission humans. They had a lot of good detail, and it also had the pressure gauges and stuff (Though they should have had real air tanks) -
Do you "correct" sets as you build?
brickmack replied to Siegfried's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Lots of times. When I was building the City Corner set, I changed the layout of the bus interiour so that I could fit more seats in. I've also modified a lot of my space sets to look cooler/be more scientifically accurate/remove stupid play function that interfere with the design. Yea, I sometimes don't build the sets either. In most cases when I do that though, its just because I need a few parts from it. A lot of the time (unless I need almost all of the parts from the set) I take the parts and put them back in the box with the instructions, and then when I take apart the MOC that I used the parts from, I put the set together. Or sometimes change the design so those parts are unneeded, but sometimes that's a bit hard. -
Hmmm. I imagine if you hadn't posted this, the topic being locked could have been written off as a simple mistake by a new user. Seriously, no need to spam just because your topic got closed. (Lot's of people have had locked topics before).

Nice. Must have taken a long time to get all those minifig stands (if you got one of every minifig, you would only have 64 (LEGO should release those parts in other sets)). Also, that bley supply is rather HUGE (Though I think I see a few old grey bits mixed in)
-
I think the one with just the sleeves is worse, it just looks odd without the rest of the shirt. As far as the minifig with no pants, perhaps he is wearing yellow underwear/swimming trunks?

The Karate Kid (new version). It was OK, but my main problem was that through the whole movie there were two things I couldn't figure out: Why they moved to China (Seriously, neighborhoods in America can be pretty crappy, but I can't imagine China being much better...), and why the movie is called the KARATE Kid. There isn't a bit of karate in the entire movie (The word karate isn't even mentioned), it's all kungfu.

Interesting windmill design. What's the water wheel for though? Just to make the small stream?
-
Nice. Looks a lot like the UCS shuttle released a while back. Nice part for the "Nose" of the ship.

...When your cat knocks a set off the shelf (Death star playset specifically) and, though you like the cat a lot, you have a strong urge to throw the cat through the window ...When you have arguments about which Space Police theme is better ...When the first thing you do in the morning (as in before brushing your teeth, going to the bathroom, eating breakfast, or occasionally before getting out of bed or turning off the alarm clock) is check for new stuff on Eurobricks and for new sales on the Brickset news section ...Friends and family don't even ask anymore what to get for your birthday/christmas because they know it's almost always just LEGO and computer stuff ...You consider moving to Billund just to be close to the LEGO factory ...Megablocks is the only word you recognize as a "Bad word" ...You consider boycotting Wikipedia because they don't write LEGO in all capitals ...You dream about LEGO at least once a week

Lego UCS Ebay purchase advice needed please.
brickmack replied to thegurumb's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I doubt it would devalue it too much as long as the parts are all intact inside and the box isn't crushed or anything. -
Definitely not probable. LEGO will probably never do any more exploration themed sets, because [most] kids find them boring. LEGO really should start listening to AFOLs more.
-
Oh wonderful. And I even had a spot cleared off on my floor for all the new sets and parts I was going to get... I even told some friends that (depending on what you sent) I might have a few new parts available for trading... Oh well. If you decide to give away some LEGO for real, send me a PM and I will gladly take your stuff.
-
I'd estimate the chances at about 1 in 980,569,210,089,118,978,103 (about the odds of getting struck by lightening, winning a million dollars in the lottery, being hit by a car, and attacked by a giant squid in the same day), but that is a large enough probability for me to be hopeful of getting a few sets and a lot of parts
-
Well, I didn't bother to look through all the posts here to see what has been given away, but I'll take any castle stuff you have left over. You didn't mention any space stuff, but if you happen to have any older space sets, I'd take one or two also. Minifigures are always nice too. And some foliage. And if you could spare a baseplate or two that would be nice. And if you have some old style hinges (the ones replaced by click hinges) I'll take those. Don't send too much though (as in the equivalent of like 5-8 medium size sets), I don't have much room. Sad that you are giving up this hobby though... (BTW, if this is an April fools joke, I'll be so sad I won't even throw megablocks at you). Send a PM when your ready for shipping info (Please note that due to a number of things going on, I might not be able to accept, I'll tell you in the reply PM if I can. If I can't, just give it to someone else)

LEGOLAND Windsor - Kate and William proof!
brickmack replied to JopieK's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Interesting. When are they supposed to get married anyway? -
Heh this scared me a bit when I logged in. BTW, thanks for this massive headache I've got now... The pink hurts my eyes.
