  1. Well I think the Brickbeard's Bounty would win, but not by much, because of the extra cannon on the poopdeck. It's only one extra cannon, but at it's height, it could punch holes in the deck of the ship rather than just the sides, or blast away the crew.
  2. In terms of figure quality, I like the modern figures better. They have better details, and aren't as prone to cracking as the older ones that I used to have. Also a few of the old ones I had had the printing off center and other print problems. However, the old ones were much more diverse, with groups such as the Islanders and the Bluecoats. It's disappointing I think that LEGO didn't include those groups in the new version of the theme.
  3. Very sad. Glad to hear you and your family are ok (well at least as ok as you can be after something like this). Sounds like a lot of others are hurt pretty bad. I hope more people are found alive also.
  4. Nice. Too bad this was an exclusive. It would be nice if LEGO released a minifigure scale version (and in all countries, not just an exclusive for England).
  5. Nice. Is it supposed to be the loader from aliens? "Get away from her you B****!"
  6. Nice LDD ship. The top should probably have the police lights on it, and possibly some kind of communication antenna or something.
  7. I like the church idea someone said a few posts before. LEGO probably won't do it because of the religious stuff involved, but it would still be a nice idea. They could do a lot of cool stuff with a church design (Perhaps some stained glass for example?)
  8. Cool. The size and shape are pretty close, but (if LDD has dark green), it would be more accurate in dark green. Also, on the version in the game, the whole gun section spins, including the gunner.
  9. Nice. It might have looked a bit more battle damaged if you had used both old greys and bleys for it (maybe you did and I just can't tell from the pictures) to make it look dirty and old.
  10. Nice. It looks a lot like the full size original version.
  11. I'm going to try and get the ones I can (Definitely the ship so I have some more of the prefab hull parts), mostly just for the parts to be used in normal pirates MOCs, unfortunately I won't be able to use the fleshie minifigs because I would have to remove the hands from the torsos, and I don't do that since it damages the arms. I might use those for like realistic stuff.
  12. I'm in Indiana, we got about 2 feet here I think. I had lots of fun in the weather. I like snow a lot... And it was a good excuse to not leave the house for a few days and just build.
  13. They look interesting, but personally I will be waiting for LEGO to make some sets (or if they don't, which is more likely, wait for them to come out with some torso parts that I really like for the doctor, and make the hair part I want to use for Amy in red, then make MOCs). Too bad LEGO will probably never make any DW sets...
  14. Welcome to Eurobricks. I can kinda understand your wife's reaction, it would be a bit odd to walk into a room and see it covered in a big pile of bricks.
  15. Well orange has been shown alot in the last few years (coast guard stuff, a few city vehicles, and some parts of the power miners stuff, plus occasionally in other sets), lime has been a bit (power miners, racers a little bit, and a few other random uses in other sets), but purple is very rare. The only set I have with purple in it is the Smash & Grab set from SP3. Perhaps purple is difficult to make, like it requires certain temperatures to mould? That's my only idea.
  16. Nice. I like that little tube thing going around the side of it, and the engines. Very cool.
  17. Personally I don't think they are too detailed, but the orangish lines on some of the licensed minifig heads look kinda silly. Also I love all of the new faces that have been made, stuff would be rather boring with cities full of nothing but classic smiling figs, the glasses and beards and everything are cool. I don't like fleshies though, but that's because it limits the parts I can use in a MOC. Also the white pupils in the newer heads I don't like because they look odd with the older heads, and they look sort of odd.
  18. Wow. Both are great. Especially the Wasp.
  19. I like futuron a lot, lots of great parts and cool set designs, and they have some of my favorite minifig designs of any space theme. Sadly, I don't have any sets (yet )
  20. Wow. And I was excited when I was able to find ONE!
  21. I cant tell for certain because of the angle, but it looks like it might have a standing mode. The wings seem to be able to move in different angles while still sticking out forward, and on the back of the "head" area, there is a joint part. I cant think of any use of that joint piece if the head isn't meant to move, and that would only make sense if it can stand up.
  22. Pirates. Don't have to listen to a king or queen or whoever, not in huge battles as much, and also they get a share of any treasure they get. Imperials don't I don't think.
  23. None that I know of. I suppose it might be possible to make digital versions of some of them, but because of his extensive use of clone parts and modded bricks, it might take a while for those parts to be designed for the program being used. Then it could also be a bit hard to figure out from the pictures exactly how they are built, some used kinda odd techniques I think.
  24. Amazing. I love all the detail all over the island. The lava flow looks great, and all the people running in fear look wonderful.
  25. Very cool. I can't wait to see it built for real. Also, I don't think this is a MOD, more of a MOC. Except for the propellers, this doesn't look anything like the red ship you linked to.
